    I think the OG 16-35mm GM is an amazing "buget" option used. You can get them for like $1K right now used. I have been super happy with the bigger GM for the price. The image is maybe a little better, but not worth enough for me personally lol......Great video dude!

      I agree with you regarding the OG model. Still a great lens and right now a really great deal. I should have really taken you up on your offer to buy mine. Still trying to sell it.

    Hey! I got a 20mm G lens for vlogging. Would you say getting this one would be better?

      Is this lens better? It depends on what you are looking for. The Sony 20mm is an amazing vlogging lens. It is super lightweight and wide enough to get you some background in the shot. The 16-35mm GM II is an amazing lens but it is much heavier. it is nice to get that 16mm but it comes at a heavy weight price. Plus the lens is not cheap. If you have the 20mm, then don't feel bad that is an awesome lens.

      @@BrianTheCameraGuy I have a 50mm GM that I got for making fitness content on insta. I was researching hard to see what I should get for vlogging on RUclips. I thought it would be nice to maybe have the 16-35 so I can do both, while having the option to vlog without wide angle distortion using the 35mm range. I don’t know if it would make that much of a difference though. I was also tempted just to get a 70-200 because I figured that would give me good range for everything with what I already have.🤣

      I would stick with the wider the better for vlogging. Especially if you are shooting yourself while holding the camera.

    Great video! Just jumped from Canon full frame to Sony and exploring all the new options for lenses. Something i noticed on the production side, its a bit jarring to hear all the edit cuts, especially multiple times in a sentence.

      First, welcome to Sony. Are you more of a video or photo person?
      Also, thank you for the feedback on the editing. You make some valid points. This is why I am taking a 30 day talking to camera challenge. Looking to improve my skills and make my editing process quicker and eaiser!

      @@BrianTheCameraGuy I'm primarily a photo person, but I've done a bit of video here and there. I wanted something a bit more compact than my 5d3 so got into an A7C - the articulating screen stood out to me vs an A7iii. I've done some video work on an FX30 too which also pushed me toward Sony

      The fx30 is an awesome camera. Best video If you are shooting 4k! I had the a7c as well. It is a great way to get into Sony without breaking the bank.

    Hi Brian - SEL1635Z Zeiss is 16mm when retracted and 35mm when extended

      @BrianTheCameraGuy  7 месяцев назад +2

      Exactly my point. It can be done. I am not sure why they did not do it that way.

    No one like 25-35 for there face, more like 75 to 200 mm

      I don't mind how I look on video. Of course, if a portrait was being taken, I prefer the longer focal length.
