First front flip attempt probably bent the brace. You said the other day when you shared pictures of it broken it was a 'mild' bash! I think you need to re evaluate what a mild bash is haha 😅
LOL, this really was a mild bash, i know most of our other cars would have come home in one piece, wait till you see how it broken for my 14 seconds of usage in the next video 😂😂
Some women dream of 14 seconds
@@TomleyRC Id be done twice in that amount of time 😂😂
This must be a British vs. American word thing, ‘cause “mild” means something different over here. 🙂 Did anyone bother to check the skate park isn’t bent??? 😅
@@RazorRC Hehe, must be as this really was what we would consider a mild bashing session. I love the design of this car, but there are certain areas that clearly have not been thought about and the quality of materials seems to be below par, certainly for something that is being marketed as an extreme basher and in the UK is only £35 less than the Kraton EXB that im pretty sure would have come home with no damage.
It does drive and handle in the air really well, jury is still out for use currently, especially as its second outing only lasted 14 second of what can only be described in anyone's mind as driving miss daisy 😂😂
You complained about the durability but i see the Arrma broke long before the Kronos did lol
LOL, that's true - Arrma tough 😂😂
Did the brace buckle on the front flip landing?
I really don't know, think the problem is the brace is made of very weak thing aluminum tubing
Really doing a 👍greatjob with the vids and commentary 👌
Thanks, glad you like them 👍👍
I came across one of your lives and I have to say this channel is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. No nonsense, just good beefy RC content!
Thanks and glad you came across one of the lives, cant believe how many times i said beefy in this one 😂
I think the damage cam from one of them upside down landings or one of the SEVERAL hard cases to metal ramp edge😳
Problem is it looks like you just kept sending it after each bad hit (without checking) so it's impossible to determine.... Hell it could have done somthing crazy in that tree and bent that center support. It's sends like that will break most rigs and shooting it into a tree that could hit solid limbs. Looks like Kev had some similar recks.... But honestly.
You were slapping down some big solid landings to concrete and that was even some shock but that might not have caused it??
Who knows if you don't check.
Not a fan of big sends to concrete anyway, breaks most things but less Likley on a more plastic rig.
Be interested to see thoughts long term on this rig as I have Bashed the hell out of mine bad landings and found the front and rear Turnbuckles to be the biggest (but small) opportunities. With my Dammage I blame mostly myself and say the front Turnbuckle especially are weak.... Rest has been solid for me.... But I don't enjoy skateboard big sends.... Kills everything ☠️💀😂😉
If your going silly sending $1000 RC full send into trees hoping for a "soft" landing ya gotta kinda own the damages really😳☠️💀😂
Great video brother.
Thanks, didn't really check as didn't feel like any of the landings where really that bad as were pretty much always on all four wheel, the rear brace bent sometime after the first check over when the lipo had come forward, can only think it was from the first front flip try with the rear end landing, but that was on soft mud so really shouldn't bend a extreme basher cars center brace like that, the biggest issue is its just made from very light weight aluminium tube.
Also dont like concrete landings they tend to kill servos very quick, xmaxx becomes the king really in these areas.
Did find one on the rear tie rod ends was also bent.
Most disappointing was getting to run it for 14 seconds on Sunday before a shock stand off sheared, i do really like a lot of the design features, can see Corally have put a lot of time and thought into the truck but then cut corners on certain things , like not tying the tower to tower brace at each end to help stop over flexing, have you tried to take off the front skid plate yet ? the little screw in the center end, held in with a nut that just spins and is really hard to get to to hold in place, and the materials just seem lower grade, brittle plastics, screws that are worse than arrma etc, im not giving up on the truck, will get some time into sorting out some o the issues and see how it goes, it does drive really nice and has good air control
The couse for bending the brace came from above, the mounts for the brace are intact the drive shaft not bent, to bend the rod that much your rear dogbone would have looked like a U (almost) 🙂
Wasn't surpiced of the bashstyle at all as it was expected. Did very well in my opinion
Anyway, good video absolutely 👍
Yeah its very strange how that brace bent like that, I'm guessing it will remain a mystery, glad you liked the video
Don’t forget… CRAPALLY drivers are the most perfect drivers EVER!
🧂
Might need a bigger bottle 😂
They need to be from my current experience, its such a shame as the design is right up there, seems to just be let down by the quality of the materials
🧂🧂🧂🧂
Bendy McTwisty. So so would like to get one of these beauties. Cool it comes with a clear shell
Yep had a bit of bendy wendy - do like that is comes with the extra clear shell, thats a really nice touch
@@HardcoreRCI'm glad to see the brand taking stride, hopefully they will be supplying in Canada soon.
Well seeing all this videos about new corally and traxxas make me believe I made a good choice to buy the good old kraton exb. But like your video as always.
You really believe anything can hold up long doing extreme bashing on concrete like that? CMON MAN!!👿
In my onion the Kraton EXB is still he best 1/8th Truggy basher, it does need some subtle upgrades but once done it pretty bullet proof, not given up on the XTR just yet though
Have at least 3 cars in our fleet that would have come home without any damage from that session, Xmaxx, Maxx and Kraton EXB, i have not given up on the XTR yet though
Your bad driving caused that bad bend 😂,
Still in fairness you sent it pretty high , it took a good bad Landing . For my Usage it would be perfect .
It didn’t do bad, it could of been a lot worse lol
It drove and jumped really well, was just very surprised at the amount of damage and the repair bill
With a few mods it will be a good basher, question is would you recommend one 🤔
@@sitapp The jury is still out for use currently, it will really come down to the quality of materials used in the car, have a feeling the plastic is not that great.
Will be taking out again and see how she holds up
Keep up the good work. Maybe add that you are sending it hard-core to the moon
Hehe, this wasn't to the moon, when the boys get hold of it is when it goes to the moon 😂😂
Every 1 that got there 1 free clearly is not showing the breakages lol 👍👍👍👍
No comment, all i do know is that if we get a free car it gets treated and shown the exact same way as if we bought it, if that means no more free cars from that company then so be it, being honest with your viewers is the most important to us
@@HardcoreRC quality that's what I want to see so I don't waste my money 👍👍👍👍
Hi everyone from V&b speed a new community channel stop in..wow a.spare clear body that's a deal. Grate ride✌👋Grate video
Thanks - think i would prefer to have better quality materials than the spare clear body to be honest 😂
Man you said mild bash 😆! You sent it into a tree, crashed it on concrete, and landed on upside of a half pipe. Im shock it did as good as it did. Great video as always!
hehe, It was a mild bash, maybe our mild is different to some others 😂😂 tree landing was actually very soft as the tree broke its fall, where did you see it landing upside down apart from where it just really fell from the railings.
@@HardcoreRC not upsidedown lol, just on the upside of the half pipe after the suicide launch
Top car, it survive to our test on ramps...soon new extreme tests!! Love it!! 😉 nice unboxing and video...
Thanks, do love the design features, especially those chassis to top of rear shock tower braces, just feel the quality of the materials to be a bit lacking. still only a first bash so will see how it does second outing
@@HardcoreRC we just wait to see the test. Chassis is top, only the problem are the standoff of the shocks, you need a spear if you jump high, but are not expensive. Soon hope Team Corally making the upgrade of the standoff.
@@2040RC Stand offs seem to be made of monkey metal thats for sure, broke one already in a way i have never broklen one before.
The Bad Bend is the The Flaw of a bad design , Corally are Over priced Cars with poor Quality. I had owned one so im aware of there faults. Great Video Dave
Thanks, yep that's what im starting to see and feel, its looks a great design but feel its let down by lower quality materials. When you compare to the EXB for price the EXB just beats it big time, its silly as with the design the XTR could be a brilliant with the right materials
You destroyed it basically 🤣🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Pretty close, was surprised at the amount of damage thats for sure
Im thinking it was one of the hard landingsinto the quarter pipe or the blind landings on the back end, couldnt quite see them but its the worst ones, didn't see any broken control arms, wasn't that an every bash issue with the k6s, i know kev had that issue with his kraton 6s or was ot the 8, carbon fiber brace needs to be thicker, and thicker bolts through the metal braces or stronger steel, if they have m3 id drill and tap for m4
Think the arms was on the K8, but these seem to be made of the same plastic, the tower to tower brace is actually thin ali tube, i have replaced with carbon tube and put 6082 ali rod inside that. Yep drilled and tapped and fitted m4 screw in the top plate already 👍
@@HardcoreRC that should make a big difference, get real desperate to replace that carbon fiber plate just get a section of steel flatbar in the thickness of the plate then cut and drill to fit and bam its not bending again lol
I used to play football, that I bought my first hobbygrade rc a slash 2wd and then I stopped football and only played with rcs
Football is really over the winter when its cold, wet and short days, so once the season is over Callum will be back out every weekend, Jack is chasing girls now 😂
😂😂 how old is he?
@@Anton-gz1go Callum is 16 and Jack has just turned 19
I am also 16 and I think 19 is a good age to chase girls 😂😂 Lets hope Jack doesn’t see this conversation 😂
Somebody jumped on it when you were not looking 👊🏻👍🏻
I blame Kev 😂😂
Glue in a hardwood dowel inside the shaft. Super stiff and cheap!
Have actually now got carbon fibre tube with 6082 ali rod inside, that's not bending any time soon 😂😂
I took a shot every time you said beefy. I'm doing great.
I did say it a lot didnt i 😂😂
@@HardcoreRC Better to use that term than girthy. People may have questioned what video they clicked on. 😂
@@maxcurry9667 Hehe, might do that next time for for a laugh 😂😂
i really want this car, but i’m a beginner and have no idea how to set all this up
I would recommend the Arrma Kraton EXB over this car, I'm still waiting on parts 4 months later, Plus it just broke far to easy in my opinion. We all have to learn and start somewhere, its really not to hard to put the motor, esc and servo etc in, should be lots of help etc on RUclips.
Yeah, these 1/8th monster truggies, when bashed like this, will bend and break etc. It's the same for the 'other' brands - just different stuff gets broken.
Some of the plastic composites on the Kronos seem to have been selected to preference stiffness over durability.
I've broken nothing on mine since last November. Nada. Zilch.
I enjoy driving it too much to smash it into the scenery via the moon. This obviously helps!
I have managed to get it to 62mph with a 0-60mph time of 4.2 seconds, so I think Corally actually did a pretty good job in most regards - putting something out there to mix things up a bit.
And let's not forget that anything you like about Arrma or Corally will soon be patented by Traxass. So guys - support them both.
My next rig will be an EXB. I would have had one already if I hadn't been so distracted by the black Friday mega deals on XTR's. 😂
I actually like the Kronos, it is however let down by the quality of materials and also part support in the UK, I'm still waiting for parts to be in stock for 3 months now, no where has the center tower body support in stock, haven't been able to run the car for 3 months, also the battery tray was out of stock everywhere, now only in stock at Corally and cant order and incur another £19 shipping charge with another £19 shipping charge on top if the center tower ever actually comes in stock when, that would have worked out at £57 in shipping costs just for one bash session.
I want Corally to do well, they just have a little bit of work left to do though.
Arrma prices are a joke in the UK as well - Kraton 6s is now $804, although the new 4s cars have come out at a very reasonable price so just pre-ordered one of them 😂
@@HardcoreRC I love the truck too and bits I've ordered have been in stock in the UK - I've been lucky, I guess. Stuff like carbon fibre inserts etc are the only thing I've needed - I haven't broken anything, not yet anyway!
If stuff like battery trays, braces, arms, etc are scarce - that will be a problem. Nobody wants to pay £19 shipping on a £15 part!
I still think 'quality' is difficult to nail down. If it was all made out of plastic, it might never break - but would it necessarily be higher quality? 🤔
@@horatio321 In all my orders there has always been a part not available in the UK so ended up having to pay the £19 shipping fee, like for the tower to tower brace that bent, the 7075 center brace, might want to check your carbon one as it breaks super easy, in fact everyone i know that has one its broken on 😂
Dont think quality is that hard to nail down, if a car lands bad and breaks that is driver error and not car error, if a car lands on all 4 wheels and falls part that is a quality issue, especially on a car that is marketed and sold as an extreme basher.
Don't get me wrong, i want Team Corally to do well so it creates more competition and hopefully helps keep prices down and choices for people, but if everyone goes round pretending all is ok that will never happen, im just reporting and showing our experience - i have no hidden agender

Thanks, i should do more driving, but do love to see the boys having fun and find it hard to film and drive at same time
I also think that Tower to Tower brace should be a triangle shape or sticker walls
Deffo needs to be a thicker material and also needs to be tied in at each end to spot over flexing, i haver made my own out of carbon tubing with aluminium rod insert
Its what id do, maybe basherqueen can make upgraded plates where theyre 1mm thicker
@@restinpiecesrc5528 I have asked M2C if they will start making parts
@@HardcoreRC that would definitely be a plus, chassis and nraced and shock towers
Dnia is not car to skatepark dis is car for sand areas
Car is marketed as and Extreme basher with durability rarely seen in an RC car, pretty sure that means is should be ok for skate park, sand also kills motors and bearings in RC cars. Thank you for watching and commenting
How do you like the exb diffs ive only used the first versions i have new kraton but I haven't used it and I need to order diffs one of each ratio tbh I got most life out of the straight cut typhon now I just built truck from scratch an only used part I used was old v4 kraton diff and bulkhead and so all my arrmas I can say diffs break bc of wear tear not so much the kraton always 30$ ring gear so I hoped exb bigger ring and now sun gears ⚙
I have a v4 Kraton just sitting collecting dust, every time i took it out it would blow the ring and pinion gear, shimmed it, put vitavon diff bulk head on, used the arrma ali diff cases, still shredded almost every run and i got really bored of it. That was the main reason i bought the EXB when it first came out due to the better diffs, and have to say apart from the issue with the first batch they have been rock solid, have only ever stripped the ring and pinion gear when a bulkhead has cracked open and then tried to drive off.
Like the ERXB diffs so much that im slowly changing the Notty and Talion diffs over the EXB ones
@@HardcoreRC ok great , thats what I wanted to hear . I'm in same boat all but gave up on arrma bc of v4 kraton than bought exb 1st one had those issues, one exb diff i never opened i put in my fresh buikd last night im going move towards exb diffs myself
@@HardcoreRC I thought the part problem was the cases get old and warp and flex but you said you tried alum cases , the other pet peeve i have is shimming all the play out of front end and rear bearings the bearings axles the older arrmas with metal shielded bearings had tighter tolerances, I wanted to build the mokrave but make sure diffs hold up or I build smaller swb arrmas
@@paulclancy2404 I tried everthying to make the V4 diffs last, spent a load of money doing it was well, its starnge as we didnt really have that same isse with the Notty or Talion 🤷♂🤷♂
But very happy with the EXB diffs, they deffo seem to hold up, even with Jack putting 8s 1250kv motor through them

Nice run Dave and great driving buddy I really contemplated getting one of these and I’m still debating on it but it does look like there’s some need for improvement but that’s with many cars.
Thanks buddy, its a great design on the car, just feel like they have used lower quality materials, will see how it holds up to the big sends the boys do
Just get one - you know you want to!
You won't break it every time you drive it like these headers do, because you aren't destruction testing for youtube sensationalism like these guys are.
You'll be fine.
You know it makes sense. 😂
@@HardcoreRC I think the quality is on point with the best manufacturers out there - especially with regard to current RTR stuff.
I would concur that some of the plastics seem to be oriented towards stiffness, rather than flexibility.
But this in of itself isn’t a quality issue - it's an engineering design decision to favour sharp, responsive handling over durability.
Certain people complained over & over about how fragile the Kraton arms were - even on the EXB. But when you look at the sort of things that were causing the breakages to occur, it really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
It's the same all over again with the Kronos XTR.
The wing and mount seem fragile to me though - flexibility is more important than stifness here and people are breaking them very easily.
The wings seem to just pull off the mount or the mount snaps. Mine are still intact, but I can see splits in the decals on the wing. So it's just a matter of time when an unexpected wheelie rips the whole lot off. 😂
Screws are another complaint with lots of messages I read. I've taken my servo saver apart to replace the spring with an uprated item. None of the 16+ screws I removed/put back in were a problem.
However, if I attempted the same with everything all full of dirt/soil and I was using cheap hex tools, my best guess is that a percentage of them would end up getting rounded out or stripped.
If you like to buy pre-assembled stuff, or RTR's - decent tools are just as important for maintenence as they are assembly.
@@horatio321 The first two videos we did on this car was hardly hard driving or to sensationalism them - do you think rolling over and snapping a Shock Stand off as tough ? landing one jump on all four wheels and the wing splitting in half, the second jump the tie rod shearing.
We showed it as it was, nothing more nothing less
@@horatio321 I bought and use MIP tools, so based on what everyone says its hardly the tools i use, also use Hurdy tools. A few of the screws that were only in plastic just rounded off.
Shock stand offs and tie rods are made of monkey metal, Plastics are far to brittle for an Extreme basher and that is what this car is marketed as, its not marketed as a racer or to handle well but to extreme bash.
Never had an issue with the EXB 6s arms and dont know anyone that has either - 8s Arrma cars yes they are also too brittle.
Will say i do like the diff bulkhead design though and how the shock towers mount, there are other design features i like, but as i said the car is let down by quality or materials and parts support.
I did get a box of spare parts sent to me by the CEO of Team Corally and a letter, in the letter it said the issue was we were using lipos that were too heavy, 3500mah Zeee 3s lipos are too heavy !!!! and the solution for stopping the tower to tower brace coming apart was to super glue it, im mean come on getting told to super glue a part to stop it coming apart - really !!!!!
Nice driving Dave
The Bend looks strange to me. I hope M2C bring a stable Version for the Kronos.
The Carbon Fiber Pices looks for me Show and Shine.
Greatz from Austria
Yeah it was very strange the way it bent.
I have asked M2C to make some parts and then think it would be a solid basher.
I think the flat carbon is good and adds to rigidity, but the small part that broke isn't strong enough, and silly thing is they do a 7075 part the same as an upgrade but only costs £2 more, so why not just use that in the first place 🤷♂️
@@HardcoreRC
I think the 7075 Chassis is stronger then the 7075 Alu that Arrma use. I saw Kev jumping all over the Place and the Chassis bend only after the worst possible landing.
But the Tower to Tower Brace is week and i think the Shocktower are week to.
Do you think the Max 8 is enough for the Kronos?
I bought the 6S EXB and i am faced with the decision between the Max 8 Combo and the Max 6 Combo.
@@ralle4140 Think the chassis are pretty much the same, the XTR dfoes have the carbon bits to add extra rigidity. The main thiung is that M2C is 7075 T6 billet and then CNC'ed vs Arrma and TM is sheet 7075 T6 and then stamped out.
Think the Max8 is enough for the XTR, we will likely try a Max6 1650kv in it, but for the EXB deffo get the Max6 1650kv and run it on 19t or 20t pinion

Use an e-clip in place of that fiddly o ring? or would that be more fiddly lol
A bolt either m3 or m4 fits perfect, with a nut other side. That's what I do on one of the sides so I can tilt it when removing the centre diff
Think an e-clip would be fiddly as well, ideally just needs a small body style clip for Corally to make a rod for
