OMG MY RINGNECK LOVES PINE CONES
So sorry for your loss of indy Donna
Thank you
Great video! I never knew to use pine cones for pet birds. You gave wonderful recommendations; gathering good ones, not old and rotted; not picking them up from lying on the ground, washing them well and using towel to keep them submerged, baking in the oven. With my budgies, I'm going to place millet buds in the pine cones. Hopefully, the pine cones will be used as toys also.
I really enjoyed seeing Marbles demolish that pine cone; probably took her little time to tear it apart, LOL.
Marbles rips them apart in a few minutes, lol.
Brilliant idea , make good Christmas present for pet bird , will have to go for walk in the woods :)
Awesome 👍
Very smart idea!
This is a great idea i can't wait to use this for my 2 cute little budgies.
Very informative thank you ❤
You are so welcome!
Awesome video and such a cool idea! I wil enjoy my time walking in the woods to collect some pine cones for my babies :) ps: your bird is sooooo sweet! So well behaved 🥰
I picked some off the ground awhile back, saw the bugs crawling out of them and just threw them back lol I will have to try it again. Great vid
Like the video💕💕
Awesome video! We haven't got any local pine trees which is a shame as Id love to give these a go! (and we have a bird flu outbreak right now so I can't take anything from outside anyway!)
That's too bad about the bird flu 😯
How long do the pine cones last? Or at least how long should they be left I. The cage? Also I have an outdoor cage. Would it be fine placing them out there?
Unfortunately we have no pine forests in the nearer area. But around christmas there are closed cones, which should watered and kept warm or in the oven until they onened and the seeds can be used for (human) food. Do you think they can be given to the birds?
I adore your little green parrot, what type it's he or she? So cute. Many thanks for your video x
Hi. He is an Indian Ringneck Parrot
Thanks for the vid! Can i canary use these
Your welcome! You can certainly use them for your canaries. You can hide small pieces of millet and food for foraging to keep them busy
@@Loveofpets thanks!
Thank you for the video! Is Fantasy a baby? He looks young… If he hasn’t got his ring by now (vid is 2 yrs old), then he is a girl. =)
Hello! Amazing idea! İm trying that myself now, i wanted to ask if it would be okay to use pinecones i picked up 1-2 years ago? İll clean them well and bake them but they re not freshly picked
If they look okay and don't have mild and are hard and crispy they may be okay. Have a look at them and decide.
Wow this is awesome. Would it be okay for budgies as well?
Yes its for all birds. You can see some of my budgies in my video foraging through them to get the treat.
@@Loveofpets thank you :) I will surely give a try
Hi I want to know what food you used to feed your baby parakeet! If you could be so kind as to tell me how to make it much is appreciated!
Hi, good idea ♥️
I want to ask you about raising a java finche and what it needs because I like this type and would like to buy it, so I knew that you have one of them.
Give me some advices, please 😍
I will be doing a species spotlight soon on the Java Finch soon. Make sure to subscribe and turn on your notifications. I could write a page about them but to sum it up, get the largest cage where length is more important than height. Feed lots of fresh foods especially dark leafy greens along with various seeds and pellets. Provide them with Bathing opportunities as they love to bathe daily. Make sure to give 12 hours of sleep.
@@Loveofpets thanks, I'll do
I'm interested in Java Sparrows too. Could one live with my male canary or would they fight?
Is it okay for my budgies to eat pinecone seeds? Do i wash it before i give it to them?
Hi yes they can eat it. I feed the seeds after I baked them.
Ok for rabbits to ?
I gave pine cones to my rabbits and they enjoyed ripping them apart.
What world are we living in where we need. To find a tree that dosnt have pesticides
Some trees need to be sprayed against evasive insects, fungas etc. otherwise the trees would die. It's to save the trees.
Not all trees are sprayed buy make sure you know your trees.
