As an American who just moved to my English partner's flat in London, I AM SO ENVIOUS OF YOUR KITCHEN. Your flat is beautiful and I love the aesthetic of the plants and couch! More flat tours in London, please :)
I know, it's the best one-bed kitchen I've seen in London I think! Thank you so much for watching, we've got two luxury flat tours coming up over the next two weeks so make sure you're subscribed and turn on notifications so you know when they're out!
@@neilchetwood4625 Which makes her not riddled with debt and allows her to move whenever she'd like to pick up and go somewhere else. The advantage of owning a property oneself obviously is to gain an investment. In almost all cases, rent doesn't really have the owner earn a net gain, it only subsidises their loan repayments.
Totally!! Understandably a lot of people don't want to reveal the area they live in , for safety reasons. And it's actually really difficult to find people who were willing to let us film and talk about price and area, plus we wanted to feature a diverse group of areas and Londoners. Luckily Taylor was ok with us sharing her area so it worked out so well! thanks so much for watching Madison, have a great weekend
@@loveandlondon Yes that makes complete sense, people want to protect their privacy! Well nonetheless, I definitely appreciated Taylor's willingness to share those details. Can't wait to see more of these! And you have a good weekend as well :)
That KITCHEN!!!! I would miss my American fridge. I noticed in the UK the fridge can look like something in a college dorm. I love this apartment. I think the price is fair. I like this series.
SagePerception Freezer space is small too. I have three drawers for my freezer. Things I miss the most, no electric outlets in the bathroom. Limited storage space.
I love it too, and agree about price! Actually only quite tiny flats have super small fridge freezers, in my experience. I don't think you would miss the huge American fridge because Londoners don't shop like Americans so you wouldn't need it. It's more of "get what we need when we need it" for perishables. And uses less electricity!
You can come film my place! I live in a modern high rise in East London and the furniture is mine. Loving the diversity of your content. Edit: and a view of the Shard. Also a fan of 3M command strips. :-)
Great apartment, and I love the kitchen! I have seen many London apartments with the washing machine in the kitchen. Is this typical in the UK? In the US we put them in the basement or a special enclosed closet.
If u compare population density to US, it's easy to make sense why we have little storage compared to the US. US has 5x the population but 80x the land mass of the UK. Moving from the US to the UK will force you to be a minimalist
@@loveandlondon I live in NYC and London flats seem much more spacious than the average NYC apartment. I envy my friends that live in other parts of the US.
Ahh so fun girls, miss the London Blog Gang! Too bad I'm not in London anymore, we lived in the Leyton Orient Football Stadium (looking onto the actual field), would have been a fun addition! 😘
I hear that it is hard to find flats in London. Extremely hard. They are all just closets. The price of one is expensive but if you can have a flat mate who shares, I guess it isn't so bad. Just a couple of 'Yanks" in good old London town. I think it would be fun to go live there for a few months. Once you find a cheap place, that's half the battle. I'd like to take some English lit classes. I do love this little place.
As you can see, Taylor's flat isn't a closet :) People usually find it hard to find a flat when they have champagne "wants" and a beer budget. Otherwise, there's generally a pretty good inventory and you just need some patience. thanks so much for watching Denisa!!
Hi! Going to London soon. Can you give any insight on what city should I stay in if I plan on visiting Peppa Pig world with my 3 year old daughter? Thank you!!
Gorgeous flat but I don’t think it’s feasible to find something like that around Clapham Common? I’ve lived there for 5 years and the price for such a place would be at least £1.8k
@@loveandlondon True. I would prefer the 2nd option but I don't think its possible. Usually in this area, even smaller one bed apartments are at least 1200 pounds which is too much for one person. Correct me if I'm wrong
@@loveandlondon I did indeed. Inflation is real. I'm looking for a flat now. Just expressing my frustration as I see how much housing has increased but my wages have not kept pace :(

Woop! I appreciate you sharing the neighborhood name-- it's good to have more specific idea than just Zone 1, Zone 2, etc.
She mentioned Clapham at the beginning.

Gosh what a great find! I’ve not seen a flat this large in somewhere like Clapham. Two loos is super rare!

Really lovely. A good deal in my opinion. Especially with big kitchen and extra toilet!

Yes it's very typical! Homes and flats are much smaller here and many people don't have dryers. Yes, great kitchen, I love it!

What yearly salary would one need to live an ok life in London?

£40 will be OK in London
What kind of flat i can get within 1M pound budget?
We'll be showing you £2.25 million flat next week, to give you reference!
Don't know any British people who get deals like this in Clapham. Wonder why.

How am I supposed to pay so much if I'm single and want to live alone?
You move to a cheaper area or get a smaller flat.
