About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
I am just stumbling upon ( early internet jargon for seeing where each click takes me) . I am so delighted to find this gem. I love me some fact-based tools for success. Great information, well researched and, despite a little nervousness, well delivered. I have a story about a suit that I had "outgrown". It was a tiny, navy blue wool crepe designer interview suit, 100% Dress for Success :-)
I sent it to NYC with a friend in hopes that someone could use it. The suit found her way to a brilliant woman working for a NFP. I was happy to later learn that the woman was ecstatic to have her first real suit and that the feeling inspired her to ask for a promotion. She got the job.
Mulan is Chinese and Kimonos are Japanese. However, I believe in your message 100%. Clothes do have power.
Brava! To answer her closing question, clothes radically changed my life. This is an important message in a society that says if you connect your identity to clothes you are shallow and fake. Thank you!
The title has it all; why do so many people not get this stuff?
Well done :)
So young and giving such a presentation. Keep working and keep growing and you'll be someone we will se more often if you want to :)
Thank you for sharing this helpful information. Great job Michaela!
Magnificent message! This has definitely worked in my life. I am certain you will continue to empower women and men with your message. I wish you every success for the future.
Excellent! You are a shooting star!!! You will do wonders in life! Very good analogies! Clothes do have power!
i cried i feel empowered
Love it. Very good!
Interesting talk. Thx for it.
you are so right
Amazing
I get it. Very interesting. We all have to work more on our inner selves to avoid being slaves of our taught perception.
Very nicely done ✅
Great Job!
good job
very very nice
Darn, I love wearing my yoga pants and t-shirts daily...I feel pretty smart in them...but I'll have to do an experiment about this.
if you have strong enough control over your mindset you don't need the clothes special. its not like clothes have superpowers.
They when it comes to other people m’s first impression of you. And sometimes the level of respect people have for you
Get her some water. My goodness.

Fashion is killing our planet. End of conversation.
Not really
From a 17 year old...Please TED...I got shoes older than that
Wtf? Why would you say such a thing?
Jealous?
She needs to dress better though
Oh Michaela your red skirt does not go with the black top you are wearing..please try again
Is it sarcasm? Is it supposed to be funny or mean? I am not sure. I don't see anything wrong with this pairing. And I don't understand why this comment got 7 thumbs up...
No, it's matching her red necklace. Negative troll
