There is an actual Necrophagist tab book. Necrophagist was selling them on tour back in 2006-ish (Somewhere around there). I bought one. If you would like a PDF of the book I will happily send it. It's quite awesome having a legit book from the band. On that note, that's what makes Sheet Happens awesome! Thanks for turning me onto Sheet Happens!

Honestly, I tried so many times to sit down and learn the intro lead to this song. Got the tabs from FOuntainhead himself and the fingerings are so tough !

I sat down with the Destroyer tab a while back and ended up moving on very quickly. It’s a very difficult song. I can play old Obscura and various tech death stuff, since I can sweep well, but Inferi and similar bands today with the insane alternate picking are just beyond my ability.
I’d like to see Inferi as well.

Necro fay gist btw. I remember it took me so long to learn that sweep part as well. But for me it took years. It is a very weird thing to play. Definitely made from software and not on guitar first lol.
You should just do RUclips live streams since you already have the sub base.

@@TylerJMacDonald christain said all the songs were in some old program before he joined including drums. Plus they recorded the albums at a very slow speed. Some say "note by note" but I don't believe that was confirmed unlike the writing part.

That higher harmony fill after the solo is a big finger twister, try relocating notes to fit your finger range, if that makes sense
i'm kinda an amateur on guitar and i decided not to learn any necrophagist till 5 years of learning after watching dean

If you want something a little bit easier that you could learn in a single video, but still really cool then Vektor (terminal Redux album) might be worth trying too. They actually tune up a half step to F lol, which is pretty cool. They tune up and still have stuff that is just as cool and heavy as any low tuning, which I find to be really cool, and really shows how intervals work. My Floyd Rose is still in F because of them.

Well if I learned the solo for that song, it'd be completing a 15 year cycle of me attempting to learn it. I tried to get that section when I was 16 or 17 years old reading an inaccurate tab on my mom's computer. It was not fun.

ik necrophagist isn’t east by any means but i’ve been wanting to learn one of their solos. anyone know a solo that might not be as challenging as the others lol
I wouldn't know exactly what to recommend but if you're just starting with Necrophagist definitely go for a solo from their first album: onset of putrefaction. It's more straightforward (as straight forward as necrophagist can be lmao) than some of the even more insane solos on their second album. Maybe start with fermented offal discharge or advanced corpse tumour. There might be some easier solos but in terms of stuff that I'm learning those two are slightly less challenging than others, still fairly hard.

@14:21 I made those exact mistakes when learning this section. Your fingers want to hammer onto 17 before tapping 20, it's such a brain fuck, then you practice it wrong and you have to unlearn it after... Sucks balls
