Julia!! As someone who's struggled with eating disorder issues for several years it's always been hard to find content that isn't overloaded with industrial agenda ("clean" eating, certain fad diets, etc) and a bunch of weird messaging that can be super triggering. I just want you to know that anytime I am in a bad spot with food, your cooking vids ALWAYS ground me and make me feel better about eating. Thank you so much for your content, Honor is so lucky to grow up with such a wonderful example and mother ❤ ❤

A great show I don't hear much about is Broadchurch. It's about a detective trying to solve a murder committed in a small oceanside community in England. It was originally on BBC, I don't know where you can stream it now but it was amazing. I've been thinking of rewatching it lately.

Thanks so much for sharing! I asked for a Video like this ❤ Something I prepare every evening for a healthy breakfast : 5 Tablespoons of Oats, each 3 Tablespoons Chia seeds, shredded coconut and cacao nibs. Fill with oatmilk until everything is generously covered. In the morning I cut a banana, warm up everything in the microwave and top it with cashew mush.
If you have a baby at home its a quick and satisfying breakfast.

One of my favorite quick meals is harissa spiced butter beans!
I sautee a diced shallot in olive oil, add a can of drained butter beans, a few spoonfuls of harissa to coat all of the beans throughly. Add salt and pepper and let it cook pretty much until it’s heated through.
Serve it on top of plain Greek yogurt, with avocado and warm pita in the side!!
    So good!

My favorite quick meal is taking cottage cheese with chives and adding flavored tuna. Then cut up a pickle and add Dijon mustard. Then mix it all together. Eat it with some dark grainy bread. Its so good and healthy.

I was just feeling sooo unmotivated to cook dinner, feeling like I needed buy groceries or order food in -wanting something serotonin filled but this inspired me to just eat something healthy from home with what I have. I found and am now cooking brown rice with some frozen trader joe veggies and I’m gonna throw a little frozen veggie burger in the mix too. And I made some strawberry apple tea And I melted some chocolate chips a little pat of peanut butter honey and salt flakes in the freezer for dessert. ♥️ thanks for the inspo kind of turned my mood around from getting off work late feeling super drained and wanting immediate gratification to being a little more grounded and calm choosing to take the time to be thoughtful about what I could do to fuel my body and mind and also not spend extra money I don’t have.

The taco salad we put shredded romaine, cilantro micro greens, corn, black beans, onions, fresh jalapeños, avocado, tomatoes, just a ton of veggies and then grass fed whole milk sour cream and this delicious habanero sauce from siete. Then gluten free tortilla chips crushed on top. I’m drooling thinking about it

As a WFH mom to a one year old, I’m also needing to be quick in the kitchen! But lately trying to really increase my protein intake. I recently started blending raw milk with banana and peanut butter as a snack. I make eggs with cottage cheese and sausage, put on top homemade sourdough bread. I eat dinner leftovers for lunch often! I made a turkey soup this week using a whole bone-in turkey breast, so the broth was closer to bone broth and really nutritious. Lots of snacking on oranges, walnuts + chocolate chips, hard boiled eggs, little quesadillas. I also have been loving this box of frozen grass fed beef patties from Sprouts and I make them on the stove with homemade sourdough buns for dinner. My husband’s favorite and it’s pretty quick!

Easy farinata - 150g gram/chickpea flour, 300g water, 1/2-1 tsp salt. Leave to sit for 3 hours minimum, the longer the better as gram flour can be quite bitter. I make it in the morning/afternoon for dinner, after a few hours I add different spices depending on what I fancy - chipotle powder, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika or just loads of fresh herbs, cheese, the list is endless. I then add leeks fried in oil and butter, slow roast cherry tomatoes, garlic and courgette, which is our favourite but you can add any ingredients you want. My daughter has leeks, sweetcorn and cheese. You then fry it like a thick pancake. It’s our easy Friday dinner. I double the recipe for 3 of us and triple for when my son is home (big eater). Serve with a side salad or whatever.

Hi Julia! Meals I have been making for me and my neices ( 10 and 5 yrs old) include , fruit salad, rice pilaf , and I make what my family calls skillet chicken. The kids love it ! It's just thin cut chicken breasts ( you can pound them down your self with a meat tenderizer) you coat the chicken in egg wash and Italian bread crumbs and shallow fry in olive oil . ( growing up my dad did this and would do eggplant as well )
For a show I just started watching parks and recreation for a laugh!

    - the frozen food section from Trader Joe’s have become a staple lately- and we NEVER buy frozen food. I have 4 kids and usually make dinner every night but our kids don’t have the palate we have. So our go- to lately have been the mandarin chicken, the kung pao (we love the spicy ness) , the kimbap (yes, worth the hype) also healthy my kids also like it, spaghetti, tuna sandwiches, frito pie, and Korean beef. Peaches and cottage cheese
    - I just finished Suits, watching the Harry Potter series with my kids, and also allowing my baby to watch Ms. Rachel just a tad it helps him help imitate how to talk I have learned with my other kids that I can get all the educational help I can get

The Center for Climate Integrity just published a report about plastics producers deceiving public about recycling i.e. it gets sent to landfill. I live on the beach in a developed country and the amount of plastic that washes up (both actual bags or micro plastics) has gotten really bad in the past couple of years (especially after storms). I don't know, I understand being busy and having to get things done quickly but if all of us do the same thing then we're done. Anyway, not trying to bash or guilt anyone but it's just something I guess we all need to consider more

Yes, you're absolutely right about this. The plastics issue is a heartbreaking, massive problem. I don't think our governments or any of us know how to tackle it with the way our supply chains are currently set up. I am hopeful that there will be many changes in the coming years to decrease consumption on an individual and corporate level.

I know it's an older show but if you haven't watched The Sopranos I highly recommend! Breaking Bad is also great.
