Wife almost did everything right. She tried to educate me but I had already decided this was limerence and did my own research. I found all the good and very little bad in it. She also would say things about my LO in attempts to hurt me and get me to react to her. She did the best she could with what I gave her to work with.
My wife said "I love you, you treat me better than anyone ever has and you give me everything I want; I'm leaving you." When I spoke with our family physician and a practicing psychologist (that I know and trust), telling them of her recent behavior changes (& personal medical changes), they said she's in crisis and to get her in to see somebody, suggesting a gynecologist would be the best first contact. My wife says she's not seeing anyone because there's nothing wrong with her, yet she exhibits textbook examples of a person in a midlife crisis, including a total 180° turn on everything in her life. I'd love to see a video about how to deal with that demon. I'm watching helplessly while I lose the love of my life and my best friend.

Does limerance only apply to affairs? My husband got into a serious relationship with a woman as soon as I moved out of the house. He has changed soo much, I don't even recognize him anymore.
It does not. You can have limerence with a significant other. I had it in one form or another for 15 years with my wife.
How could a grown up find someone that quickly? Either he was already seeing her or it was an affair that was moved in as a live-in. Limerance is experienced by some many times. Then they have the big one that takes them down. That is what happened to me.
@@jeanetteoneil4562 he started seeing her, if i can guess, around June or July 2020. I moved out in September. I just don't understand how this relationship take off so fast. Within months they were planning on having a baby and getting married. Lucky, that hasnt happened yet.

If she's hypergamous by nature, that's a pretty normal thing for women. Doesn't make it right, though. It depends on why she left exactly. Did she worry about providing for the children and herself? Demonstrate that she has nothing to fear. Did she leave because she just wants a high cost lifestyle? She's gone. Was it due to limerence and it just happened that the person was rich? She may fall out of that soon if not already.
There are thousands of factors to consider.
I know this channel tries its best to save marriages. I respect that. But they also assume that the marriage was a perfect match from the wedding. Sometimes people marry too young, in a rush, under pressure from family, etc.. Sometimes it's not even an affair partner. It's just that people grow up and grow apart and change their minds about what they want for their life. Limerance might also serve for self realization. To force people to stay together can also result in dysfunction, resentment and hold them back from a better life--for the both parties.
