I have been following you since your first visit to Bobblehead Homestead and am in awe at what you have achieved building your beautiful home. Your family must be so proud of you and it is lovely to see the girls getting involved in some of the projects too. Your Uncle is smiling down on you even when it is raining! It would be lovely to put up a photo of him on completion as I feel he was a big part of you starting this journey, he certainly originally owned a stunning area of land you could see such potential in.
Thank you so much. My uncle is the only reason I came to Arkansas and is the reason that I moved here. There is a big pile of cedar lumber that he killed years ago on his sawmill that I recently found and I hope there is enough good lumber in that pile to build a small table and put his picture on it as a tribute . He is missed here every single day!!
that is awesome to see you had your daughter helping with camera work, your homestead is coming together and I appreciate your work ethic and involving everyone in the build and chores. Raising good American's.
Like how you are doing the electricity. Yea ... windows delivered. I'm sure you are pleased. lol, she is a good helper. Wow, your arms are a mess. Need some long gloves ...
Electric, windows, oh my Stephen. Nice work even with the mishap with that ditch witch. Glad you got it done on your end. Amazing to see the windows. Getting closer each time. So happy for you, April and the Girls. You're doing it...
Yay! You almost have permanent power to the cabin! One step closer to finishing. How exciting! You were lucky only one window was wrong and hopefully your replacement window comes soon. It has to be hard trying to balance your time between the build, taking care of the animals and land but you'll get it all in good time. Luckily you have some good helpers. Here in Michigan it has been a very soggy spring too which has been a hindrance to getting the gardens going. Hopefully fall stays warm long enough to compensate for getting the plants in a bit late this year. Gardening is always an adventure lol! Nice promo on the boots! It's so cool businesses are interested in working with you. Your channel is definitely growing which, I hope, is as exciting for you as it is for me lol!
I joined when the roof was going on, and it's been an epic journey. Having windows in will make a huge difference to the feeling inside the house. Hope you have a good week.
WINDOWS! We're cooking NOW! This home will SOON be finished! Before you know it, the cabinets will be done and the flooring will be finished along with any tile work and then it's MOVE IN! Hallelujah! Enjoy those boots. And take care of yourself! You need some chaps for your arms and hands! Edit: Tell your daughter "Good Job!" (Even though she didn't help with backfilling the trench!)
getting there with hard work and tons of love!!! Impossible to miss your arms!!!!!!!!!!! They look like they have been through a war with 100 cats! Well, take care ok? No cat fights! Hahahahaha. I am so happy to see you advance everytime more and more! the windows looks really nice too. I am happy to see you happy. So good, you so so so deserve it!
I REALLY am enjoying all the AMAZING work you have done so much to your home I am sure you can't wait to get in it always LOVE WATCHING your VIDEOS please take CARE of yourself and your WONDERFUL wife and CHILDREN
There’s always more to do. We’re working on our garden, getting ready for our bees to show up, finishing up our garden fence, and trying to figure out our future chicken coup. Other than that we’re just enjoying our retirement 😂😂😂😂
I'll check out the boots, thx for recommending! Yay, windows delivered in perfect condition & by a driver with customer service skills. Just having the bathrooms completed will make it possible to move in without the kitchen completed, if necessary. So yeah, less pressure means you can take more time to get the highly visible kitchen & living room perfect. Hi to April & the girls!😎🌴👍
Hi guys another week closer to moving in to the Homestead the windows look great good to see the power is in the ground and hooked up one end, Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia
Tough way to install cable in conduit. Easier to install the pipe than pull the cable into the conduit. Good to have it underground though, no service drop to get taken out by falling limbs from an ice storm
Egads you hooked the temp power back with the new power cables attached and making your new line hot to the power company post..... At least tag the new line stating it's hot....
The line isn’t hooked up to the pole. The power company has to install the new meter loop and that will disconnect the temporary power. I will hook up the main line from the house to the disconnect.
I did not see you use dielectric grease on main lugs in your elec. service panel. As much rain/humidity you have, thought this would be necessity. Also your vids never fail to impress me, but could not believe the length of ratchet used to tighten lugs, I always used an 8" allen wrench to not over tighten. Keep on with great content/amount.

@@hickoryridgehomestead9177 That would be a lovely thing to do, although the house is a tribute to him in any case.
I remember when I began watching your channel and now seeing you at this point is amazing.
It has come quite a ways since then.
Your a hard working man Steve. Thanks for letting us watch!
Thank you for watching
Massive achievement

Family is what it’s all about.
Absolutely
When I saw those windows coming off the truck, I think I may have become nearly as excited as you were! And power, too - yay!!
Your camera person did a great job.
I think she did awesome.
Like how you are doing the electricity. Yea ... windows delivered. I'm sure you are pleased. lol, she is a good helper. Wow, your arms are a mess. Need some long gloves ...
They are getting scratched up but it will heal quickly. She is an awesome helper. Both the girls are great helpers

It is a big challenge trying to juggle everything and I also have property in Texas as well. It keeps me busy for sure.

I truly enjoy watching your progress with the cabin. Look forward to the fireplace build. Good help you had today!
man's man!! Awesome to watch how tough you are and how much you know!! Cool seeing your daughter helping a little.
The kids love to get in and help. She had the day off from school and wanted to help get it all done.
You are one busy dude. So much to do and not enough time in a day to do it.
But slow and steady wins the race and you will get there no doubt.
Dang! You got alot going on. Rest. Sure is looking good though! Thanks for sharing
I love the front door, nothing like a good front door, things are coming together with the build. nice.
thank you so much. It took almost years to finally get that door.

All the thorns have really scratched me up but it will heal in no time.

Your doing a great job. Just take your time and do as you can.

Terrific progress! Another big step. What an adorable family you have!! Blessings...you are all getting so close.

I buy work boots. 5 years ago. Still like new..Steel Blue.....
I have work boots as well but they don’t work good standing in water every day.
Tough way to install cable in conduit. Easier to install the pipe than pull the cable into the conduit. Good to have it underground though, no service drop to get taken out by falling limbs from an ice storm
I didn’t have anything strong enough to pull the cable through. I have pulled long runs through conduit in the past .
Looking good
👍👍

With all of the wind you get, why not consider putting up a windmill to generate electricity? That would be a really interesting project!
I considered it. I have built some pretty large wind turbines in the past.
Will it change much with having a permanent line hooked up to the main box? I agree burying the line and in pipe will be a big relief.
Yes because it will allow me to have 240v power inside the house.
@@hickoryridgehomestead9177 Ahh I forgot certain circuits do require 240v. If I ever do buy another property I will be dealing with that problem.
You're really getting it knocked out. But why does it seem that projects never end on a farm? Well that's how I feel on mine. LOL
That’s exactly how it is, never ending.

Also your vids never fail to impress me, but could not believe the length of ratchet used to tighten lugs, I always used an 8" allen wrench to not over tighten. Keep on with great content/amount.
I used grease on the lugs but just didn’t show it. I was careful to not over tighten the lugs , that was the only 1/2” ratchet I had close by.
You are moving on. Looks like maybe a xmas tree in the house this year????
May be a tree but I doubt we will be moved in by then.
Сколько меди 😀 закопали.
Did you run 4/0 or 3/0 service drop to the house 🏠 are you running a 200 hundred Amp panel 🤔
It’s 4/0 service cable and 200 amp panel.
How do I go about getting one of the shirts like you had on
I can add them to the page. Give me a week or so and I’ll try to have them added.
Don’t want to be a pest but did you get a link so I can order a tee shirt . I love your channel and want to support you
We have been without internet lately so I haven’t uploaded it yet . I will get it done very soon. Hopefully by this weekend .
Nice more windows 🪟. At least he has a rock chain on the trencher I would have went with a bigger machine
They didn’t have a bigger machine available. I just didn’t want to use my backhoe because it makes such a mess.
