I’m very traditional and practical when it comes to mud flaps. I prefer the very basic rubber ones. It’s worth adding an extra strip of rubber to protect them from wearing out as they flap against the mudguard edge. They don’t look glamorous, unless they have HONDA or YAMAHA etc printed on them, but they don’t catch on rocks or break off. Old school.
Fitted the Heavy Duties centre stand on my 2021 T7 yesterday. Good build quality, finish, and sturdy enough. Thanks for making us aware of this option Pavlin.
Finally I got my T7 in Mexico. Here is more expensive than the 850 gs and 890, but I used to own the old 660 tenere and I love Yamaha. This is the perfect bike for me!
I had been looking at adding a center stand to my Africa Twin, I emailed Heavy Duties to see if they have vendors in the US or ship to the US and the answer was no! I'm disappointed but that's life! Thanks for giving the info on the manufacturer of the center stand, right now I can live without one and I agree that brand name center stands are ridiculously priced!
Great video, you convinced me to buy from "Heavy Duties". I went to order the center stand for my Tenere and the lower crash bars only to find that Heavy Duties will not ship the items to me because I live in the USA! While I respect their rules I think they are missing out on a large market as I think as many Tenere's are sold in the USA as anywhere else.

Great... I love center stand! The moment I bought my 2010 Yamaha 660cc MT 03, I order a center stand for I don't like to see my baby leaning on one side for hours. I use the side stand during the daytime but the center stand if I know I'm going to leave my bike for hours or for the night :) Also, something puncture my radiator although I had a radiator protection grating installed by the previous owner; I order a front mudgard extension & didn't install the grating back when I change my radiator. I've been riding the last two years without any problem 😁😁😁
I really like the centre stand. Very well thought out adjuster solution, and excellent value as you say. And great to see a Romanian company competing with the usual suspects. @@motorcycleadventures Two springs of different sizes is good engineering! It prevents a single steady vibration - riding on washboard surface, for example - from hitting a resonant frequency and causing the center stand from swinging up and down or the spring from vibrating off its mounting pegs. If that frequency of vibration is encountered, the 2nd spring which has a different resonant frequency continues to hold steady.

Good work Pavlin. I have just started a project with a "new" bike. A 1969 Suzuki T200 Invader. That came with a centre stand as standard, and the side stand as an optional extra. Stange how things have now reversed. I have bought a second hand side stand to fit to the bike,so I won't always have to lift it onto the centre stand.
I did two modifications on my FX650 - I did the tubeless mod with that yacht adhesive as well as added the central stand. After I did that, I realized that both mods defy purpose of another, thus I removed the central stand as extra weight, as it clunkers and makes some noise when riding rough roads.
Can you supply a link to a description of the yacht adhesive (perhaps a marine silicone caulk?), and did you use the adhesive to seal the ends of the wire spokes where they penetrate the rim?

You said you are not influenced by "free stuff" and you will say your honest opinion on the product (paid or freely sponsored) only after you use it daily. Now, you have installed the center-stand. It looks good. I do think it looks thin and fragile but I don't know for sure. And YOU don't know for sure how this part will stand up to wear and tear. So how can you say immediately that you "Highly recommend" this part? I tried to order one of these centre stands from Heavy Duties after seeing this video. Unfortunately they do not deliver to the UK, which is very frustrating 😞
I actually have the same branded Pyramid extender and used their pattern without bolts for both my bikes, 4-5 years later they're still stuck well. However I did stick their hugger extender and that started to fail after a year or so, I riveted that on permanently.
For overall maintenence l would not be without a centerstand. That is also a weight increase lm gladly putting on my bike. Looks like a good piece of work, solid and slim it seems. 🇳🇴☕
A centre stand is not an option in my opinion. Daily checks and wheel removal are so much harder without. I have a fender extension on my 660 to prevent the high pressure spray onto the regulator rectifier, a common fault on 660. I don't know where it is on the 700 but it's still a good measure. Hi Pavlin. I recently damaged the fascia in my foot putting my 2019 R1250GSA up on the centre stand (partially my fault.). The big difference here is the weight of your machine. I could see how easy it went onto the stand with the new kit.
I always parked my BMW R1200GSa on the side stand since it is heavy, especially with luggage. Now since its 15 years and 160k mi old I decided to park it on the center stand or it will leak some oil along the pistons into the exhaust when parked for several days. Last time I managed to drop it, the windshield ended up on the running board of my Nissan Pathfinder parked next to it. And it was very heavy to lift it back up. So I still prefer to use the side stand, but it looks like the Tenere isn't as heavy as the BMW.
We are all different, I have always removed the center stand on my bikes. It's unnecessary weight. 😁 And it's just in the way. Either cornering og when nowadays offroading. Nice bike though 👍
This center stand looks very good. I have the original of the previous owner on my bike but it is ugly and heavy. Maybe I will remove it or replace it with this one. But can I ask if when riding there is any noise from it or rattling?
You have a negative travel on the swing arm. The own weight from the bike compress the spings. You need a negative travel for good road contact. If you "jump" or drive fast downhill the swingarm will move to the direction central stand, because this one is mounted to the frame. I had this issue on my ktm.

It is the same for almost every bike, be it KTM, Honda, BMW, etc, most people will add accessories but with the Yamaha you just start with a lower purchase price, 10,000 euro as opposed to 15 or 20,000 euro. KTM 890 or Honda AT still need better hand guards, centre stand, engine guard, bash plate, better tyres, heated grips, and seat and suspension are personal preference, some find good some want to improve.
I really like the way you make changes to your motorcycle. Always well thought out and practical….

Everything necessary is already on the bike from the factory. The rest are all volontary add-ons.
