You should learn how to pack a lighter with the wick and cotton. Some cotton goes in first and the wick is wound around in a helter skelter type of way as more cotton placed over the wick as it is being wound around so the wick picks up the fuel from the bottom. Having the wick wound at the top will not draw the fuel up from the bottom of the canister.
Probably more more than what the soldier was paid for. Sad world we live in today. When soldiers are worth more on what they carried than what they received in respect.
I call BS! It's probably a post war souvenir marketed to veterans. It doesn't matter what the person who gave it to you said. It was obviously made in a machine shop, not trench made or homemade. The knurling was probably done on a lathe. Try looking at the details & don't fall for unsubstantiated stories. Please give your viewers credit for some intelligence.
Hi Max, me and the other half are new subscribers. My boyfriend (Wayne) was just like yourself when he was a kid. He was not interested in the fact that toys worked, he wanted to know HOW they worked. But he could not get them back together on Boxing Day!🫣🫣😄😄 His mum and dad despaired of him back then!🤔😃😃😃 Now he's 52, there is not much that he cannot put back together, and get it working again. He has qualifications coming out of his ears! Stuff Putin, and ALL STAY SAFE YOUR END! GOD SAVE, AND PROTECT RUSSIA! Wayne & Nina ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡😊😊😊😊😊🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
during the Second World War, Soviet soldiers called this handmade lighter "Katyusha" Во время Великой отечественной наши cолдаты называли такую самодельную зажигалку "Катюша".
