    After Deliverance (1972) introduced Ned Beatty to American film audiences, he quickly became one of Hollywood's most rock-steady actors. Throughout the remainder of the 1970s, Beatty was seemingly omnipresent in the decade's seminal films, including Nashville (1975), All The President's Men (1976), Network (1976), and Superman I and II. Beatty earned a reputation as one of the top actors in the trade.
    Most recently, Beatty starred with Mark Wahlberg in the "Shooter,Charlie Wilson's War, a Mike Nichols film with Tom Hanks, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Julia Roberts; the animated film Rango, starring Johnny Depp; and as Lotso Bear in the highest grossing animated film of all-time, 2010's Toy Story 3. His latest film, Rampart, starring Woody Harrelson, Sigourney Weaver, Steve Buscemi, Ice Cube, Anne Heche, Cynthia Nixon, Robin Wright, was released in 2012.
    Once hailed by Daily Variety as the "busiest actor in Hollywood," Beatty was asked "How did you get into show business?" Beatty's response, "by hanging out with the wrong crowd," a crowd including some of the industry's most prominent names -, Steven Spielberg, Paul Newman, Marlon Brando, Robert Altman, Robert Redford and John Huston.
    Accomplished in film, stage and television, Beatty has garnered praise from both critics and peers as a dedicated actor's actor.
    He also starred in The Toy, Wise Blood, Rudy, The Big Easy, Hear My Song, for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor, Prelude To A Kiss, Just Cause, and Cookie's Fortune."
    Beatty's numerous television credits include three years on the NBC series Homicide: Life on the Streets. He received an Emmy Award nomination for Best Actor for his performance in Friendly Fire, opposite Carol Burnett, and a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Last Train Home. He also had a recurring role on "Roseanne" and performed musically on television specials for Dolly Parton and The Smothers Brothers.
