Great discussion! Commenting on your personal experiences I agree with both. I think as a golfer you go off what your strengths are which make you decide what is the most important shot for you! I go Danny’s approach trying to get the ball down to the green as quick as possible, while dans approach I feel is the best way to understand your yardages and be more accurate , Funny thing is if you were to swap that thought process round and do the opposite to each other be good too see what you would score!
Disagree with both of you. Chipping is vital!! You can miss hit a drive and still be in good shape. With irons approach shots are probably the HARDEST, it means you will miss 20% of the time as a pro! Amateurs will be less than 50%… so…. If you can recover well from around the greens you will save a fuck load of shots 😂
