This design is so perfect. It's "beefy", yet clean lines and timeless style. Lots of options with the feet or no feet. Perfect for some many indoor, out door uses. This design can grow, or downsize with the family and circumstances. A set of 4 would make a versatile modular set. 3 make a couch with 1 chair, 2 make 2 love seats, or 4 chairs to put around the fire pit... so many flex ideas.
I completely like the chair, feet or no feet!! Maybe just a small rubber foot pad under it to keep it from scratching or rubbing the area you place it. I’m going to make a couple of these! Thanks again for a great video.
The feet really elevate the design (it feels more like an art piece with them on) but I totally get leaving them off for outdoors for practical reasons. I appreciate the level of detail and thought you always put into your videos, thank you for all your hard work!
I'm seeing this as a pool side chair. Slick looking chair. I like how it breaks down for storage. The weight means it'll stay put. It won't blow into the pool. Great job. 👍
I love this! For my knees, I would need it to be a little higher, but I like the look either way. Maybe make a couple of each, so guests could choose which to use. Redwood would also be a great look for these. Excellent presentation of your process also.
Made the chair, my friend loves it! She is smaller so I made it so the seat had two places to install the back. One for her and one for anyone else. I used the larger lumber for the seat and thinner for the back. No problems with strength on the back. She installed industrial rollers for the feet to help her move it. Now she wants a foot stool to match ! Thank you for the great ideas and videos.
Looks like something that belongs next to a pool or on a sandy beach. I like the bulk of the design. I'm a big guy, and this looks like it would hold me just fine. Quality work.
Love all of your videos. Wish I was good at carpentry and had my own tools to try and tackle some of your projects. You make everything look so simple even for people who do not posses the trade. Thx for your inspiring videos. Love them.
I like no feet, but I think it should naturally sit a bit higher. Geometry of the base would have to change a bit but you could still get the same look
I'm with WRC, Glen. I like the chair both ways. If I have to pick, I'd go with the feet, because it's hard for me to get up from a low piece of furniture. This is a fantastic design. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Oh the price of lumber will not be noticably decreasing, and neither will the cost of anything else. If people haven't figured out what is happening yet, they'll likely not at all, or at the very least, figure out too little too late.
Both look good but I agree with no feet! I just found your channel and I'm already glued lol I'm a diy gal myself and I've always wanted to try making furniture but a lot of videos are more for men or I can't understand them but I can perfectly understand how you are teaching so thank you! I'll send photos of what I make! Keep up the good work!
I like this. Simple and stylist. I think it looks better without the feet. I would suggest you stain and seal wood before putting together to protect all of the wood, including the dowels and between the joints. Thank you for making the plans available.
Hello, the chair looks amazing with the feet. I also love how neat the bottom edge of your garage walls look. How did you cover the bottom part? My garage has about 6 inches of exposed concrete and the the drywall on top.
I deleted my original post because I read the other comments. people, like me, critique the way they would like it or build it. You have the original concept and it works for you. Great build and video. keep up the good work.
Interior and exterior glue. Amazing. I was using some exterior glue that said “under no circumstances is this to be used indoors.” Great video I’ll be making one!
I like it with the clear feet, because it looks like it's floating but also because it introduces a second type of material to the chair i.e. wood + perspex/glass.
I don’t know what RUclips did but this is the first video of yours ive seen in about a year and I’ve been subscribed for 5ish. Glad to see you back in my feed!
You have a knack for designing great l modern looking projects. This is a wonderful chair. I could go either way on the feet, but I would check out some rustic iron looking feet. Thanks for another great video!
Heh Glen, I prefer the chair WITH the feet. I feel it gives the chair the FLOATING look, as you said and so I believe it makes the chair look and feel more elegant. Great share.
My wife has been after me to make some patio chairs! Now I know what to make! Great design! 👍🏼 I also make heavy furniture. I use old reclaimed wood for all my projects and some of my stuff looks like stuff from mid-evil area! But people buy it! Thanks for sharing this great looking chair! 👍🏼🙏
Those are beautiful, well-made chairs. I’d prefer them either without the feet or to have the same shape of the feet in the same wood and stain color as the rest of the chair.
I just found your channel today and it's amazing. The chair changes it look completely when you add the feet. I like both, depending on where it's being used.
Really sharp look. Sits a bit low without feet, but looks really good and the easy-storing design is helpful to extend the life of the furniture. Great work.
Love it! The storage away design are genius! I like no legs looks cooler but for myself I will need little higher base to fit my family use. Thank you for sharing! 🥂
I just found this channel and I absolutely can’t be more excited. I enjoy the way you teach. You know what you’re doing and you don’t have to do anything but provide the step by step details and I find the teaching style to fit my best learning style. I’m inspired and going to go finish set up my brand new Bosch Router table and new fixed & plunge base 2.25h router. Thank you 🥳
Thanks for sharing a lovely video. I like it without feet or with a small invisible rubber pad to protect the floor from marks. Overall very good looking, relaxing and mobile chair. Thanks again. Cheers from Darwin Australia 🇦🇺

I like both w/wo feet but not clear, maybe some sort of curved metal square stock or a ball , or round stock bent into a small spring .
A nice stool slanting the other way would look really nice with that as well I reckon. Really good job think I might try and copy that myself.
The link says page not found, is there somewhere else I can get the plans?
Try the link again.
I Like It Both Ways!!! That Said Because Of How Tall I Am It Would Need Feet, So I Can Get Back Up!!!! (LOL) Thank You Glen!!! 👍😎👏🤔😂😃

I was thinking the same things. The modern design of this chair would be great for a set of 4, indoor or outdoor.
I completely like the chair, feet or no feet!! Maybe just a small rubber foot pad under it to keep it from scratching or rubbing the area you place it. I’m going to make a couple of these! Thanks again for a great video.
Me & my family, too--making: 6 of these beauties! Good job!
This is my thought too. Something to raise it just off the deck incase of moisture and the wood isn't sitting directly in the water.
I was thinking the same thing too. Just a little something, about an inch or so, to keep it directly off the deck. Incase of moisture.
@@woodandwheelz Yes! (Shorter: "feet").
Peace be upon you. I hope you support this channel. Thank you
The feet really elevate the design (it feels more like an art piece with them on) but I totally get leaving them off for outdoors for practical reasons. I appreciate the level of detail and thought you always put into your videos, thank you for all your hard work!
Great design. I love the "chunky" aspect as well. Going to go with no feet in this one, just has a better look for my taste. Thanks for the video👍
❤️ it!! I like the “no feet” look. It’s more streamlined. Great job!!!
I LOVE the feet with white cushions!
That would look very sleek.
Nothing wrong with heavy furniture, especially for outside! Looks great. I think I will be building some of these. Thanks!
I need support and subscription so that I can continue
I love that you work SAFE, CLEAN, and ORGANIZED.
I'm seeing this as a pool side chair. Slick looking chair. I like how it breaks down for storage. The weight means it'll stay put. It won't blow into the pool. Great job. 👍
Just realized my favourite sound on RUclips is the fast-forwarded tapping of a mallet. Nice work sir.

That looks fantastic! I love the way you carry that heavy duty style throughout all of your projects.
I like the biscuit jig. I see so many of the wood workers that whip out a biskcuit joiner. thanks for bringing it down to earth.
I need a higher chair that's easier to get out of so I'd make it with feet. Big clunky 4x4 feet. Always love your builds. Keep going!!
Looks like something that belongs next to a pool or on a sandy beach.
I like the bulk of the design. I'm a big guy, and this looks like it would hold me just fine. Quality work.

Def no feet what a great idea its perfect in all ways especially storage......loved it
Great project, Glenn! 👍🏽 my vote is for No Feet. It’s rugged modern furniture, which I love, personally.
With the feet, it looks like it has heels 👠
😉
I love both looks Glen and I love the fact that the chair is sturdier and has weight to it. Another great design!
I like no feet, but I think it should naturally sit a bit higher. Geometry of the base would have to change a bit but you could still get the same look
Great design. I prefer the chair with the clear feet. It’s a clean classy look. Thank you.
Love it. Looks better to me with no feet, however, being 6'2" I would be more comfy with the feet on. Great looking chair!
OMG I love it with the feet, this is a great looking chair! And it's stackable
“due to my inability to make lightweight furniture”…🤣
This chair looks awesome and I think I will make one. You do great work, buddy!

no feet, with cushions. awesome chair! amazing work
Well done Glen! another great project. I was just thinking about these chairs for the cottage. My next cottage DIY! thank you
Clear feet makes it look more polished! Great job!!
I like the feet & the cushions on it. I'll be making a version for my new deck :D

Love that design! Could this be adapted to use 2x4 to make it a little lighter?
Nice design, but not cheap. Material is very expensive
@@fao7491 maybe next year it'll be more reasonable again

"inability to make lightweight furniture" 😂 it's certainly chunky, I like it without the feet 👍 nice one
Bought the lazy chair from the fillup club for the hubby's outdoor domain and he loves it!
Feet or no feet? Depends on how agile the user is. I would need some raised seats for some of the “oldies”. They do look very neat 👍🏻
I like this. Simple and stylist. I think it looks better without the feet. I would suggest you stain and seal wood before putting together to protect all of the wood, including the dowels and between the joints. Thank you for making the plans available.

I like it with or without the feet as the piece is beautiful either way.
No wonder Rockler stuff is so expensive for us regular customers; they're giving away a lot of stuff to you creators.
I love it both ways. The acrylic feet look classy.
It is great that you showed the final result first. Fantastic design BTW.
Interior and exterior glue. Amazing. I was using some exterior glue that said “under no circumstances is this to be used indoors.” Great video I’ll be making one!

That looks so good. Could watch your videos all day. Instant fan.
dude you are the king of carpentry!!! great project, I like the chair without feet for outdoor, in the house I think with feet would be amazing
Very nice job. Sturdy, thoughtful design and solid instructions. I like this channel! 👍🏼
I've seen a few others make this design, but non collapsible. I really like the narrower back too. Looks really good!
Wow AWSUM work.. genius for sure. The simplicity of the design is marvelous...
A very nice chair. I prefer it without the feet but with the cushions. Well done.
I really like the basic solid look of this chair.
Love this with the legs, very simple yet streamlined design ..
I don’t know what RUclips did but this is the first video of yours ive seen in about a year and I’ve been subscribed for 5ish. Glad to see you back in my feed!
From Tasmania Australia. Excellent design & work.
Great work and love the simplicity, no feet 👍🏻
They both look good, but my choice would be with the feet and the cushions. Thanks for the video and the ideas. Blessings!
Nice design and functionality that will out live most of us!
I really like this chair! It looks good both ways. Feet for inside and no feet for outside!
I think you did a great job of explaining the process and it's an attractive yet versatile design, too. Thanks for sharing!

No feet. Love the design. These would look fantastic around the fire pit! Very well done. And I also love the bulk look the wood gives. A+
Love your new Videos..... Great work. 🏴
Heh Glen, I prefer the chair WITH the feet. I feel it gives the chair the FLOATING look, as you said and so I believe it makes the chair look and feel more elegant. Great share.
I like the no feet version asthetic, but comfort wise - the feet are probably needed.
These very inspiring videos help me with my projects.

Way better without the feet! I’d like to see a version with an armrest. Would be cool if they were also removable for storage
I agree! I think the armrest would be challenging to pull off, although anything is possible. It would take some time to figure out.
I like it without the clear feet. Great video and design.
Nice design! I agree w/ some of the posters here to raise it up - but maybe just 1"-2" just to reduce exposure to standing moisture.
Awesome project. I really like this chair. I dig the bulkness, colour is great too. And it looks better without feet. Keep up with the great work
Those are beautiful, well-made chairs. I’d prefer them either without the feet or to have the same shape of the feet in the same wood and stain color as the rest of the chair.
I like the chair better without the feet but I like that you included the option in the video! Great desgin!
I really liked how it came out with the clear feet. Nice design and project!
looks great both ways, but I also prefer the look of no feet. great work as always!
Beautiful design, personally i like it without feet more. Thank you for sharing
Very nice looking chairs! Also appreciate the video angles and your voiceover. I’m subscribed for more!
Wonderful built man!
Really good looking build
Perfect for the Deck
No Feet - low and sleek
No feet. Love the chair and the transformer idea!!!!!
Excellent craftsmanship. Loved it.
I like it more without feet. I love your design though and the 2 piece is brilliant for storage. Will try to copy you.... Thank you for sharing.
I just found your channel today and it's amazing. The chair changes it look completely when you add the feet. I like both, depending on where it's being used.
Being a shorty I like no feet and even better I would like it at my home!!
Great job!

Love the chair. Great work .. ! And, I like it with the feet because it is easier to get in and out of because you sit a little higher ....
Lovely project yet again and in my opinion...no feet. Keep up the beautiful work, mate!
Yo dude your work has a sense of simplicity in it yet luxurious you keep rocking my brother
Super cool chair. I like it either way, but looks more casual without the feet.
This is amazing. I am usually quite critical with designs And this looks fantastic especially like the match with your white cushion size wise.
What an absolutely gorgeous chair...i need like 4 of them now!
The feet! Nice design, I really enjoy your content. Going to make this!
I don't have plans to build this, but it's so therapeutic to just watch you do it and explain the process
