I think it would make sense for celestia to be the sun, and Luna to be the moon in their “present” days form, but they’re able to communicate through magic. Twilight being the crystals would be her present form, z
I really like the theory that Celestia and Luna are not ponies but just physical manifestations of the Sun and the Moon in pony form, and they decided to leave shortly after Twilight took over as ruler of Equestria. It would have been pretty sick to see like let's say the night where the Gen 5 gang had a bonfire and slept outside they all had a collective dream where Luna visited them in her pony form and showed them the way that Equestria used to be and what they need to do to bring magic back to the ponies. Kind of like when Kansu visited Nothing in her dreams in the My Pride series on RUclips. I don't think it's far-fetched for there to be some sort of afterlife for ponies and all the other creatures in the MLP verse because let's get real they're magical talking ponies anything's possible. Maybe the eternal spirits of Celestia, Luna and Twilight are responsible for magic disappearing, because when the three races started to turn against each other they took away their magic so that they couldn't use their magic against one another. Maybe it was a way to protect them and keep the peace.
Well I like the idea that the princesses are still alive. From what we can tell, Alicorns are Immortal. We haven’t seen any of the towns/cities from G4, so maybe it’s a Crystal empire situation, and everything just disappeared one day. Which would explain the war from the remaining ponies, and the separation between all the 3 ponies kind
I don’t think it would be creepy for Sunny to be able to talk to the past princesses. I mean, if Jedis can talk to the Jedis of the past, then this is possible.

I love this concept so much! The idea of the princesses of old still having connections to the current world though this alicorn spiritual state I think would not only add lore and connect G4 and G5 better but also make G4 more interesting! If you recall when twilight ascended into a princess I would think that celestial plane would be where the princesses (and now sunny) would be able to communicate. Especially if Sunny’s alicorn powers aren’t permanent and have to be summoned or focused in on like in avatar, I think it would also help build more on the magic aspect in G5 Equestria. Also for those who say Twilight is immortal, it’s been confirmed by show staff that twilight would not outlive her friends; for Luna and Celestia I believe in the theory presented in the “what happened to twilight” video. Wonderful theory as usual!!
It has nothing to do with the fact that the program's staff said that, if we remember the creator of the program had said that Celestia and Luna were born alicorns and we already saw in season 6 what happened...
I find it interesting that her Twilight toy is a younger version of Princess Twilight instead of the tall majestic princess that would have been around much longer and much more recognized by all of Equestria. Probably just for the sake of making it look more familiar to the audience since Twilight is only a tall, flowy-mane princess for part of one episode but it still doesn’t really make sense lol. It would be like having a Celestia or Luna toy but them as average height ponies with normal manes..
Probably because the stories are about young twilight in the future so they used twilight both as merchandise in real life and in the pony universe

I don't know the full story but it has something to do with Hasbro not owning certain things after season 4.
I figure Celestia and Luna have up their immortality when they gave their magic to Twilight, and that's why they went to the retirement home. And Twilight gave up hers to Lustre Dawn, so she would not outlive her friends.
I don’t think twilight gave her immortality to twilight because it’s obvious twilight would not do that because she knows the pain of being immortal and this is also why sunny isn’t a permanent alicorn

twilight, celestia, luna and cadence cant be dead because in the make your mark series during the dragon fire episode, opaline said that alicorns are immortal. also if all the magic in equestria is gone than who is raising the sun and the moon also what happened too the Chrystal empire?
Twilight has the magic to raise the moon and sun and lower them, she is basically a Goddess.
I would love to see this! That and/or if Twilight had a bunch of her books she's written discovered by Sunny, maybe even enchanted books as well (thinking back to how artifacts brought back Star Swirl etc) /some kind of spell to talk with her. I would love to see the new gang discovering spells and other magics to fix this new Equestria via Twilight's guidance in that kind of way too!
Definitely would be sweet if Sunny was spiritually connected to Twilight! :)

Sunny is her descendent show her being her reincarnation is not far-fetched I just think the next generation will be the one where twilight gets reincarnated with colors in Sunny's Philly closely related to her dads

Maybe Flurry Heart took the place of Twilight but could not stop the three pony species from becoming racist with another because of the Crystals and she went on hiding to not be inprisoned by the ponies.
no i disagree 100% because Flurry Heart is only supposed to be taking over the Crystal Empire not whole Equestria and im not 100% sure but im pretty sure that Flurry Heart would already not be the ruler of the Crystal Empire.

I love the idea of a hars heaven. It’s a pretty fresh idea for MLP. Plus imagine seeing all or some princesses in cgi. That would be amazing!

I've read a fanfic sort of like that the other day, where Twilight appears to Sunny as a spirit and says she helped Sunny find the third crystal, then explains what happened to Equestria. But it would seem to come a bit out of nowhere if MLP did that. I mean, in Avatar it was the entire premise from the start.
I feel like maybe we keep making up these theories because G5 is lacking a wise character to guide Sunny. Since they already killed off her dad, who was the only character who had any useful knowledge, they would have to either introduce an entirely new character, or have Sunny communicate with one of the G4 characters somehow. Which then begs the question of why they didn't talk to Sunny or do something about Equestria's state sooner. So making it so that Sunny couldn't talk to them before getting her alicorn powerup would be one way to solve that, I guess.
I love this theory. I have my own theory on this topic but I'll keep it to myself. It would take way to long to explain. Great video.

What if Twilight and the other Alicorn princesses are trapped in stone?
Really, the only evidence that Twilight isn't immortal is the G4 staff saying that "Twilight won't outlive her friends". The staff, for whatever reason, didn't actually put that into the show. That means that the G5 writers could ignore that piece of information because it (technically) doesn't contradict G4 and for the sake of drama. My theory is that Twilight and the other alicorns have an Olympus-type realm where they moved after G4.
But in the last episode of Mlp: Fim, the royal sisters and Cadance weren't shown. Implying that they're dead and not immortal. That could be evidence...
@@unidentifiedwalkingperson cadance must be in the crystal empire along side with flurry heart (they didn’t show that in the last ep), or maybe retired and joined celestia and Luna when flurry heart took over the crystal empire.
You may have a point pay close attention when Luna and Celi said they going to silver shore to Twight and they hope to see her there one day. Oddly Silver Shore must be known to the ponies because no one asked where that it. We the viewer have no idea what that is but it seen like that where retired alicorn go I guess.

based on the opening of G5 I'm led to believe some mysterious force brainwashed the mane 6 and made them go savage on each other. Now the Netflix series will be about the mane 5 trying to find out what that force was and why he or she made unicorns, earth ponies, and pegasi hate each other
My headcanon right now is that it was the memory stone. We see a replica of the memory stone in Argyles workshop. Maybe it was used by accident or maybe even intentionally by an opposing kingdom?

I think Twilight disappeared in the forging of the three crystals. I read somewhere that an earth pony was injured by magic under her rule, which caused division among the races, to the degree where she felt she needed to strip and store all magic in the artifacts at the time. I'm trying to make sense of the timeline. I'm assuming the 6 were all around age 20 during the show, with their little sisters being around 14. I think they were late 30's to 40 at the end of The Last Problem. I don't know if Twilight outlived the others before the divide, but it's certain enough time passed between the creation of the crystals and G5 for Twilight to have been long forgotten.

Rainbow Dash was unfortunately the first to go. In her older years, she finally achieved her dream of becoming a Wonderbolt. However, during one of the wonderbolts show, there was a terrible accident where one of the Bolts crashed into Rainbow Dash and sent her plummeting to the ground. She tried to open her wings up before she hit the ground, but didn't quite make it. Twilight had tried to dive after her, but was unable to reach her in time and sadly watched her friend die in front of her in the flight accident. Everyone was never the same after knowing one of their best friends had passed.
Next to pass was Fluttershy. Fluttershy had opened up her own vet clinic and adoption centre for ponies all over to adopt pets. She had met her husband through this when he volunteered to help her out at the clinic. You could say it was love at first sight and eventually they got married and had a little filly who was just as shy as her mother. But one day, Fluttershy fell sick and was taken to hospital. She was kept in there for months and the little filly visited every day and snuck in every night to see her mother, knowing their time together was limited. Then one night when the filly came to visit, Fluttershy knew she didn't have long left to live and asked the filly to sing her lullaby one last time. And with that she passed away, succumb to the illness entirely.
After that was Rarity. People rumour she died of a broken heart after knowing two of her friends had died. The likely hood was she was she fell into depression after her friends died. She never went outside, she never worked on any dresses (though that wasn't a problem since her business was very popular and now spread over all of equestria), she never spoke to anyone not even Sweetie Belle. She became overcome with grief that she ended up feeling the only way out was death and so she killed herself. The funeral was regel like she would have wanted it and Sweetie Belle took over the business and it has been that way ever since with the children in the family line becoming the owners.
After Rarity was Pinkie Pie. Once everyone had found out about Rarity's suicide, Pinkie just wasn't Pinkie anymore. She still threw the occasional party, but she wasn't as cheerful as she used to be. However, as each of her friends funerals, she brought a basket of sweets, flowers and ballons, blowing a party popper and reminding them to "Never stop smiling". She obtained diabetes about a year after Rarity died. She refused to believe she had it and kept eating the sweets and cakes she loved. Eventually the sugar dosage made her heart come to a stop and she passed on peacefully in her sleep. Twilight made sure her funeral was bright and cheerful as Pinkie would have wanted ponies to celebrate the life she lived, not be sad over her death. It was then Twilight tried to visit Apple Jack as much as possible.
Apple Jack was the last of the mane 6 to go. She lived right into her old age and became the 'next Granny Smith', being called 'Granny Apple'. She was wise and gave Twilight plenty of advice. She called Twilight over one day with a letter and they had a simple day out on Apple Jack's birthday. It was a nice lunch out, meeting all the new Apples and then going off to the legends graveyard, where their friends were burried. She sat down in front of her friends graves and chatted aimlessly with Twilight, Twilight using her wings to keep Apple Jack warm and then Apple Jack fell asleep and never woke up, dying with all her friends around her.
After the mane 6 had died, about 1-2000 years passed and the Princesses began to feel weak as their time was coming to an end. And alicorn can live roughly between 20,000 to 30,000 years as of their date of becoming an alicorn. Celestia knew this day would come and didn't deny that she was sad about her and her sisters death that was soon approaching. She went to Twilight one night and spoke to her about it. Twilight tried to say that there was something that could be done, but Celestia shook her head as getting weak like she was only meant it was time for her to pass her powers onto the next Princess. And that was what she did. Luna had come to do the same and together, they used their final bit of magic to raise the sun one last time before deciding to go to the legendary warriors graveyard to die peacefully. Luna sent a final request for Twilight not to follow them in an attempt to save them as it was already too late; the spell could not be reversed.

I think that the princesses got like a hide out technically not dead nor alive but somewhere in the sky sort of like the place celestia brings twilight when she becomes a princess. Twilight brought her friends and they have a place to watch over G5. They were planning to get a new princess, one that could change the world so it wouldn’t be chaotic. So they made Sunny it because she deserved it and possibly the only passionate one to change her nasty world to friendship. When the characters of G4 grew old they decided to from that hide out secretly and had some royal guards tell the pony’s that they mysteriously disappeared but actually were in the hide out. The citizens of equestria decided without a princess, they should just decide themselves. So I didn’t want my theory being dark as it is a story like where they all die. I think the New generation movie did a amazing job avoiding their deaths . So yeah

i have theory when her friends died or she died with them she created 3 crystals to save 3 magic ( earth pony pegasus and unicorn ) to save magic and friendship
The G5 series is not easy to explain ever since Twilight has a hologram of her younger self as opposed to her ascension older self that is found in the Unity Crystals, all it took is the Mane 6's aging for a young Opaline to rise and fight and almost succeeded, Opaline was too strong until Twilight have to drain all the magic into those crystals and separate them to be safe from Opaline, and we never heard from Twilight again, possibly die of old age but becomes immortalized like a Force Ghost and retain her younger look in the Unity Crystals. That's the theory of the in-between timeline.
I think Twilight is going to show up in G5 at some point and get a badass hallway scene like Luke in The Mandalorian
What if they all became ascended beings. I saw something like that on Stargate. They came to a planet and all the beings were ascended. Sort of Life B you're saying now.

G4 just had so many wonderful characters, and it's hard to imagine them not living on somehow... Even if their VA's are unavailable

Let's just call this what it is, they Force Awakens the FIM continuity. They reset everything and now Twilight doesn't even have the benefit of being a myth as Luke Skywalker was, she's just forgotten by all but a few historians who are basically treated as heretics for suggesting that once all three races lived in harmony.

I'm wondering what happened to flurry and cadence. It would make sense that Opaline could have killed Twilight or Twilight gave up being an alicorn, but I don't see that being true with the other two, or with luna/Celestia.

I think it was confirmed that there was some sort of chatostriphic event that took place before g5 and killed all of g4 including the alicorns. Discord was the only survivor and he reappears in the comics appearing beat up (despite the fact that he could easily just change his appearence in a snap lol)

I have a theory as to where Twilight and her friends were buried. First of all they would want to rest in peace together so they would have been buried in adjacent graves. As for where specifically; well, where else would the Guardians of Harmony be laid to rest than near the Tree of Harmony?

well sunny is a earth pony (idk if she’s permanently a alicorn) and twilight was a unicorn before being a alicorn. another difference would be that twilight at the beginning didn’t want friends / didn’t really have any. while sunny did , and she wanted other pony friends too (Pegasus and unicorns) . twilight represents the Element of magic , while we don’t really know much of sunny yet

This is an interesting theory. But here is something that you can think about. What if Twilight was still alive. It is obvious that this land isn’t Equestrian because it would have to grow a random mountain in a few thousand years and get flooded to reach what this land looks like. Not to mention the ravine going through it. And we see that Twilight almost never left Equestria. With the exception of the 2019 film. But even in that film, she didn’t go that far. Now this had to take place in the future. Long in the future. But being an alicorn means you live thousands of years. (And don’t bring up that it is only for ponies who were born an alicorn as Flurry Heart was the only one born in equestrian history. Now remember the Journal of friendship, well due to snail mail being the prime mode of long range communication, it would have taken a couple of months to go across the sea. It could have made its way into Sunny’s land thousands of years before the movie took place. Now due to thousands of years of proof of the book existing and no proof of the story actually taking place, Sunny’s ancestors might have thought it was just a story and the book might have been lost to time wounding up into a filly story that only Sunny and her ancestors thought were real. And since alicorn a can live for thousands of years, Twilight may still be alive far away from Sunny’s land without her or any pony in her land even knowing. Now say I am wrong and you were right, then there would be a statue of Cozy Glow, Tyrek, and Queen Chrisalis somewhere.

Flurry was a baby in G4, so where would she be in G5? That’s my big question not gonna lie.
What I am thinking is that I think that twilight is not in horse heaven and I think is that twilight must be under the caves under Cantor lot . Well maybe not well because the Crystals have been separated for years well maybe twilight must be somewhere around Equestria or maybe she could be at the Ever free forest well maybe twilight is somewhere in Equestria
For my honest opinion, Twilight Sparkle is not dead. There could be somehow Twilight may/might come back as a brief character. (It happen to Mufasa in the Lion Guard). So yeah, I will never think about Twilight is dead because she is my favourite character of all times. 🥰I will always love Twilight and believe she is alive, no matter what you people say. It's my opinion, so please respect that I never think she is dead. She is not DEAD! 😞

I honestly do not want to be mean to you guys but I prefer this way because I'm very sensitive (which means I get to upset easily) with people at times. i dont want to dredge the equestria of old into the new series, it would be tantamount to everyone here and now getting hung up on shenanigans that happened to the early humans who survived the supervolcano 70,000 years ago. yes, they were important very for their time, but they are functionally disconnected from the present completely.
And i'd be worried i they did do the Avtar-like thing you proposed, the last 10 years of kids shows have been trying to mimic Avatar and it did not end well for most of them. why? these shows tool the superficial parts of that series (war, hard decisions, adventuring friend group, being hunted by evil, villain turned hero, an so on) and forgot about the actual fun parts of the show. Putting in the avatar lineage into this show is just begging for it to just become "Avatar, Now as Horses" the show. again, minus all the actual fun stuff.
As a parallel to g4, remember how Celestia first told twilight that friendship can not be learned like maths or history in a school? And then twilight made a school for friendship learning? and instead of actual friendship problems that her and the mane 6 had, they started going of to lore lands to solve other peoples problems for them?
yeah, that's not a good show to watch, that's a good show to turn into a wiki.
I think you forgetting that the princesses can live very very very long princess celestia's literally thousands of years old so alicorn a technically she is just somewhere when the princesses retired

I Think something Gores wrong after Luster Dawn was send to ponyville. Maybe Twilight loose her friends when they became Old and she dies with Them and Luster was crowned but failed it. Or that Luster was a rebel against friendship.

I don't think she died, Opaline has been alive since the day celestia/luna were born, and Opaline is still very great for her, more than a thousand years age. I think twilight is hiding or something.
