Daily B has now been removed and replaced with Redbull Short in GR.4, looks like the issue was not a simple fix 😞

I was so confused when I started time trailing this track today, before I watched anybody else's replays using the exploit. I thought I was legitimately 15+ seconds off the pace.
Granted this is a glitch but the thing that bothers me is peoples DR is gonna get affected . Let’s hope Polyphony punish the people who have clearly taken advantage of it but I doubt it

This was a track that I was quick at, well for me. I was able to get a 127.900 and for me that bloody good. Finish work early for a gaming day to find out they have changed the track.

I was really looking forward to this race. I love driving the 155 and I really like the track. But the first race I did....I was 14 seconds off the pole time and I knew something was screwed up.
I was just doing lap times and knew they were going to get faster but to knock 15 seconds of what I thought was my best efforts, cheating fucks. Red bull ring it is then

I was wondering why my qualifying time was 18 sec off the top times. I know I'm not as fast as the top guys. I'm typically 3-4 sec off but 18 had me kicking myself. That sucks!

They spend hours finding exploits instead of trying to be a better racer. Pathetic.
Honestly there is no way PD did not know this. I remember about five days ago I went back to the circuit experience for Lago and noticed there were 2 or 3 cheater times. Granted we can't watch back laps on circuit experience but I bet PD could themselves.This tells me that those same 2 or 3 had this in the back of their mind and once in TT those laps were available for us to watch - the secret is out.
I didn't have a clue what was going on when I was in a race last night. I thought I was tripping on something.
It's pathetic though. PD have given people the opportunity to cheat and when that happens people will take advantage.

I love all the Maggiore layouts and always go well there. I set a legit top 100 time yesterday and was looking forward to grinding some DR and maybe getting to A+ this week. I'm gutted this is a thing!
Im not the greatest driver and finally set a Top 300 time and was quite happy. Now it got changed lol.
I maybe shouldn't complain. Just went top 30 at RBR short 😁
In the second race, someone actually did try the exploit on lap one. It didn't work and that's why there was a car way at the back of the pack. And then for the second car to attempt it and fail to accelerate quickly enough to get the win: That just takes the cake!
Funny thing is it's always been there apparently. It works in the Circuit Experience (thank you, finally got gold haha), and in the Human Comedy Mission. But it's not something anyone would think to try. Someone must has discovered it accidentally.
As for the people that exploited it to gain DR they didn't deserve, that will sort itself out rather quickly I think. Some lobbies may have some pretenders for a bit.

@@abaeta I'm talking about Sport Mode obviously, there is no DR in single player. I even said I used the glitch in single player for the circuit experience.
Fair does to PD, they pulled this race as soon as they knew this was happening but yet again their testing protocol was not detailed enough to pull this error out

Easy fix would have been to flat out remove the auto rest, that's some 90s arcade racing game technique.

Get so frustrated with the people who just go out of their way to run other peoples racing. I am not particularly good or fast but can hold my own. I m rated C and B. Was an S for for safety but recently on the Spa circuit seem to be inundated with drivers just wanting to shunt everyone. D1ck Rambone is one such driver. What an idiot. He literally just shunted everybody who came in his way. Just really puts me off playing seeing my ratings and driving ability not improving due to drivers like him. Rant over. Wish PD would seriously penalised him. The penalty system seems flawed too. He shunted me off and I ended up with a 15 second penalty.

My question is, who the F figured this out first? Like who goes into a daily race and park into a random spot in the hopes of that happening?
ive also noticed that even finishing with penalties it doesnt change you standings at the end. Several guys had 1min penalty for being on the mediums and would still keep the win.
You can’t race this on mediums mate 👍 only race with compulsory tyres is daily C and when you don’t use both tyres you get 1min pen that 100% looses you win 👍
@@thekie25 I dont understand how on this track, just last night several racers finished with a min penalty, so i assumed they had different tires. I got the screenshot, so if not tires what gave them a minute penalty then? and again kept their place, when before i would see them drop.
It’s a shame because I like this track.
Red Bull short is worse because the cars are to fast for a short circuit and everyone just rams.

So nuts this happened, am enjoying the Red Bull replacement though. I was in the top 100 in the world because I was online for the first hour it got changed out - was fun at the top if only for a second 😂

that would have the potential to clean up these lobbies quite a bit
I spotted some weird times yesterday with quali times 10-15 seconds faster than everyone else. Then today I saw it even more with people jumping up several places in a race (I even had a second sector 6 seconds faster than the fastest lap only to cross the line behind them on time). I checked out the fastest laps on the leader board and saw the exploit with the teleporting cars.
Not gonna bother with this race this week unless it gets patched.
When you have zero skills, you have to do different things to compensate. NFS would suite them better.
Gran Turismo 7 has been a disappointment for online racing from the penalty system to this…. You’d expect better from a franchise like Gran Turismo
Whilst their fixing this issue they need to put wall contact/wall riding penalties back in the game

I did my first 2 races online on watkins glenn today, my god some riders are all over the place, a certain CHRIS all over the circuit gets penalties and still manage to ram me. I don't know if i will go online again.

How do you get upset when someone tries to break the slipstream isn’t that what racing is about and then you punting them off the track is supposed to be any better

People who abuse this exploit should at least get a temporary ban for it. But I doubt Polyphone will do that because they dont even have a report or bansyatem
Other games are banning you straight away if you use exploits on purpose so why isnt Polyphony doing it? 😑

Yeah this race is so broke. I did the exploit once to try it but it was just chaos and not fun after the initial funniness.

@@user-ic9lm5si2n not in sport mode mate, in sport mode you can’t do anything to gain performance other than drive well. hence why all the top drivers who Qualify for world tour events are just naturally fast 👍
