- What´s the difference between a good player (best 0,3%) and an olympic champion?
I made this comparison in Gran Turismo 7 of my fastest time and the current leader Giorgio Mangano at the recent olympic time trial event, to see what are the small differences and how to get even faster.

It would be fantastic to see how Sophy would perform at this and compare it to best players.
Sophy does freakish stuff like dropping a rear tire into the grass to rotate the car into a turn. She'll also do bizarre brake and throttle inputs to finesse the traction. It does a lot of things that are difficult or impossible to emulate.

it’s just the little things in TT and how they take corners that provides a massive advantage that takes so much time to master
I don't wanna stress myself too much on setting qualifying laps like before. The frustration of messing up even just one corner is something else hehe
Valerio Gallo is the current Olympic Virtual Series champion of Motor Sport. Mangano is only the fastest qualifier for the upcoming Olympic Esports Series.

My only problem was being on a terrible controller setup, because the other person that has rights to the game is a filthy casual.
My line is actually on par with the No.1 rank. It's just the instant, unstable power delivery I get from the buttons, which both the gas & brakes should be mapped to the L2/R2 triggers for better control. Gosh, I hate sharing a console so much. 🤦♂️
This makes me have new respect for f1 drivers. In qualifying they really are not far apart at all. Yet over 60 laps.. it adds up.
Interesting video and very well put together. I was also looking at steering input which was also quite interesting to see differences there. Perhaps consider commenting on this as well in future videos like this?

the fact that the olympic champion tends to get closer to the track limits do really shows how big the difference
such a "small" details that make big diffrences. WOW
I wish I knew how to be able to watch the best drivers replays so that I could learn how to improve my own driving. I could only just barely get under 1:20 in this challenge.
Hi, just go on the ranking board before entering the event. There you can see some replay icons next to the top drivers. Click on them and you can watch the replay.
You can also load their Ghost too

@@kurtschnippel1053 Use R1 to check slower times and see if there is a replay there. Better than no help

Anyone Else noticed that He was one place ahead of SuperGT ?
I can't do better than 1:16.007. That's my limit. Sector 1 is so hard to get right and I keep underestimating how important the exit from the final hairpin really is
giorgio is one of the chillest person i knew probably but on the track he's a beast..
i wonder why he finished the lap on the left side instead of going for a right left right lane
Because after the last left turn, the left lane is the shortest distance to the finish. If you possition the car in right, you will lose some .hundreds, may be even half a tenth.

@@crilauriola, no. If you keep left lane after left turn, that is the shortest path. If you go to the right lane, that travel from left to right is an extra mileage. That will makes sense only if you are starting a new lap, so you are in a better possition for the T1 turn in.

I got 1:17:115 (11,547th) on ps4 dual shock 🥴.
Just couldn't get it done, but it was so much fun to compete, trying to get a actual wheel for future competitions.
That is great to see and understand where the differences are. I should do the same video between me as average to you as good racer to see where I lost the other second 😅

Ich hab’s jetzt nicht lange versucht. Habe länger gebraucht um rein zu kommen als eine 16er Zeit zu fahren. Jetzt frage ich mich ob ich eine Goldzeit geschafft hätte… schlimm 😅
Valerio Gallo also is incredibly fast, considering the fact he is still a quarter second faster than 3rd place
I just did 10 laps then feel ashamed to stop at 1.17.1 so, I left it and didn't try more. Idk why but I can't improve myself and it's very sad

I had a very similar time to you, about a 1:15.9
I wish I had a lot more time in the sim cause I could tell how much was left on the table to improve, but I did put in about 150 laps to get that time. Ideally I think If i put in 1000 I could have made a real effort against the olympic canadian's best time. How many laps around here do you think you did?
you can check their profiles, they did practice A LOT to do these times, I would say it's around 900 kilometers per day for the top 10.

Trop facile ,votre logiciel vous avantage. Des que vous sortez des limites rien ne se passe. Or pour la plupart nous sommes sanctionnés, pas vous. 😢
Je ne pense pas qu'ils soient avantagé. Mais avec des heures à refaire et refaire le circuit, ils connaissent les limites et savent jusqu'où aller. Pas de miracle ou cheat code, juste de la mémoire et de la précision d'exécution à haute vitesse. L'incompréhension personnelle n'est pas forcément explicable par de l'irrationnel. Bonne continuation dans vos chronos et après des milliers d'heures de conduite, il n'y aura pas d'autres avantage pour vous que le fruit de vos efforts.

@@fredericlandemaine2425 étrange, généralement cela survient lorsque plus de 2 roues passent la ligne blanche ou le ralentisseur. Il y a parfois quelques exceptions qui sont exploitées par le joueur. Je vous invite à observer dans votre replay si une 3ème roue ne roule pas un peu trop sur la ligne (parfois bien définie). Dans ces replays, on voit bien qu'ils sont toujours à la limite, surtout le virage gauche après le pont.
