    Nice review! I really appreciate the details you provided regarding the cleaning/maintenance. Great job!
    RE: oil splash screen
    Get a bigger one. Then like before, remove the metal frame. Next, with a sharpie, trace the shape you need. Then trace another outline around the shape that is 0.5cm-1cm thick. Finally, fold then border inward. At first, the fold won't hold, so you might want to place a flat heavy object over it for a day or so. Also use a rolling pin to sharpen the fold around the edges.
    You'll still have the frayed edges, but at least they'll be pointing inward and won't scratch the non-stick coating. It's still going to be a pain to wash with a sponge though...

    Hi, i have a doubt. I bought the same air fryer but once i set the timer im not able to decrease the time manually. For example if i set it to 30mins instead of 20mins by mistake, I'm not able to decrease n set it to 20mins. Is it like that or is it a fault?

    • @TheBlahger
      @TheBlahger  2 года назад +3

      Hi! Unfortunately, yes it is designed that way. The manual timer knob is hard to turn the other way around. As a workaround I just use my phone timer since it's more accurate. Once it's up I just pull out the basket to turn off the airfryer and let the timer finish on its own. 😄

      @TheBlahger  2 года назад +3

      Hi there! You can pull the basket out even before the timer is up, the heating element will just turn off but the timer will keep counting down. Yes you can unplug the power in the middle of cooking but I recommend just pulling the basket out to turn the heat off and wait for the timer to elapse before you pull the plug. Yes you can increase the timer anytime, decreasing the timer though is difficult because the knob doesn't turn that way that's why I use my phone timer instead😄.

    I think mine is not working anymore during it the 2nd time. I used it the 1st time(yesterday) and fry some fries, nuggets and hotdog. And tonight I use it to fry my ham but the light suddenly turn off but the timer is still working. But I can't hear the air working inside. 😥 The worst part is I bought it at shopee and the after sales or their agent never answer my question 😥

    • @TheBlahger
      @TheBlahger  Год назад +1

      Sorry to hear. Usually it stops working for a while when it overheats, then you have to wait until it cools down to be able to operate it again. If it stops working completely and it's only been with you for a few days, there's a return/refund option in Shopee. If seller is not responding you can take it to Shopee Customer Service. Hope this helps.

    • @TheBlahger
      @TheBlahger  Год назад

      Unplug it and let it cool down, then wait around 1hr. If it's still not working even when the unit has cooled down (I usually wait until the heating element is cool to touch), then it's probably defective. Best to have it returned/refunded specially if it's still within 7 days.

    These manual dial appliances are dangerous!!! Several times now, I have set the timer and not realised it is not actually counting down. The knob was stuck. The device I have is this exact Philips and it's not particularly old. The ticking on the knob is very quiet and is extremely problematic for older people. if I hadn't realised, after a period of time that the cooking should have been finished by now, it would have started a fire. Be Warned.
