JAY-Z was in attendance for the Super Bowl on Sunday (February 13) to see the Los Angeles Rams defeat the Cincinnati Bengals, while also catching the epic halftime show put together by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige.
In a set that ran through each of their hits, Dre and Snoop put on a performance of their classic 2001 single “Still D.R.E.,” which JAY-Z actually wrote. A proud Hov was spotted in the crowd rapping along to every word, with Beyoncé doing the same in front of him.

#JAYZ #DRDRE #SNOOPDOGG
The beauty of Jay writing for Dre and Snoop is there was no West Coast v East Coast foolishness to get in the way of pure creative artistry, just talented men coming together to create magic! It's too bad that Biggie and Pac didn't survive the madness of that era!
They were the reason why hiphop realized they had to squash it
He wrote the lyrics and is trash lyrics. The song is classic because of the beat
@@kingwata1 you're missing the whole point! People are always going to have different opinions about how good or bad a song is,but at one time East and West Coast rappers(and their fans) were like rival gangs! It cost us two of the greatest (in my opinion) that ever lived!
@@kingwata1 What an unintelligent comment!
Worst is that all of it was allegedly over a misunderstanding. 2Pac wrongly thought BIG s side were responsible for him getting shot and before that they were actually cool with each other
It’s crazy how this song never gets old, it’s almost like a representation of legendary
That's what makes a song classic. It's timeless.
when i hear it i always think of Alonzo hittin switches in Training Day with that track playing.
The only thing I know about Jay-Z is that he came to L.A. a few times, and Snoop and Dre told him that, ‘When you on the west coast, you wrote a song for me, don’t worry ’bout nothing Next thing I know he’s taped up, robbed, and gagged ’” Knight recalls.

Just fyi, Em wrote forgot about Dre.
people forget Jay is a nice writer, he's penned some penned some great songs.
@@DanielFriedman Well, he was on the song, so that's a bit obvious to people. "Still Dre" is for two separate artists, and from an artist outside the camp. Pretty impressive.
@@LurnWell Well, actually, Em meant it for Dre and Snoop. Also, Dre could've written his own verse.
@@DanielFriedman I didn't know that. Those fast lyrics wouldn't have matched Snoop at all. Glad he left it with him and Dre
I truly had no idea that JAY Z wrote Still DRE. Give HOV his flowers. JAY Z is def one of the GOAT’S.
Yea even eminem says he is one of the people who made eminem who he is. So even if you dont like jayz music and you like eminem you should still respect him. Cause he was a big influence on eminem.
@@WM-mu8ep Renegade says otherwise.
@@melvinhhcp3615 reasonable doubt came out the same year as infinite. Jayz was big before eminem. Eminem wasnt big during infinite. They both 96. Eminem even admits he looked up to jayz as one of the greats. Remember in takeover when he rhymed sledgehammer with drama. How he pronounced the word differently. This might be 1 little thing but it was a huge impact on eminem. He said it helped him develope the way he could change words and pronounce them differently to make them rhyme. You might think its something small but it's not small when we are talking about eminem skill that's like a upgrade.

Jay can write and spit off the dome. Jay said once that when he first started rapping and making records he did it to impress his peers...that was the time when he was really spittin fire. Older Jay is cool but you can tell that he matured and was rapping for himself.
