    I suggested in the past that Basque style heads were what I believe to be the efficient axe however I didn’t take into account several factors, apparently. I’ve heard that the straight bit version performs really well. The reason why may surface in your investigation. Lane this is riveting content. Home run bud :)

      I heard that the flatter bits were better for chopping softer green wood and curved bits were better in hard woods.

    Got an old Helko made Bahco 2 1/4lb that's very much like a wedge with a bit of a beard but has those kind of dimensions.
