    Hi, I have a 3 pin connector that connects to the weight sensor. The third wire should be ground. Do I have to connect the resistor between the power cable and the output?

    Hi, I don't know if it's a similar process, but could you do a video on how to replace the heated seat pads on a 159?

    • @arcgarage
      @arcgarage  2 года назад

      Will try to cover it, but it probably involves the seat disassembly

    By the way, what scanningtool are you using? Would you recommend it?

      It is a Autel MK908, and I would definitely recommend it, although it is quite expensive...

    Have you ever done a 2010 Chevrolet Impala? Do you know what resistor to use?

    • @arcgarage
      @arcgarage  Год назад +1

      No, but you can find out by having someone sit in the seat, and taking the resistance measurement...

    I would like to do this but also have an option to trick the sensor into thinking there is a child in the seat. Is it possible to have two resistors on for turning the airbags on and one off, while being able to switch between them.. i ask because my dog like to ride infront and it is not safe if airbags are on and he weighs 90lbs

    • @arcgarage
      @arcgarage  Год назад

      It is, you could implement a switch

    What kind of resistense I need please 🙏🙏🙏

    • @arcgarage
      @arcgarage  2 месяца назад

      You have to measure it yourself, have someone sit on the seat and measure it, it is different for every car

    • @arcgarage
      @arcgarage  Год назад +1

      You got to test it out, with someone siting on the seat, and you got to measure the resistance

    I have the same issue on my 1998 156 V6. We also have issues to connect to the Airbag ECU. Lot of diagnostic devices cannot connect to the ECU. Without this connection I can not see or erase any codes. Can I use any Airbag ECU from a 1997-2001 Alfa Romeo 156 on mines? Because some electronics says that should not possible because the ECU should remapped?

    • @arcgarage
      @arcgarage  2 года назад

      There is a possibility that you might need to reprogram the new ecu

    Is it the same in all cars? I have a 2012 Nissan Rogue with the same problem but it is 3 pin and I don't know what resistor to put in, could someone help me?

      It is not the same, there are different values, but keep in mind that you must know what you are doing to do this properly

    • @arcgarage

      It would be below 2ohms

    • @2nickles647

      It's not the weight. It only triggers something is on the seat.

    Did this fix secure the functionality for a driver heavier than 80 kg or below 80kg?

    • @arcgarage
      @arcgarage  2 года назад +1

      Of course, I basically took the average value...

    • @Goc67
      @Goc67 2 года назад

      @@arcgarage Well, which is it? I mean if it is only for someone at exactly 80kg, then you need to change the resistance for every new driver to be safe.

    • @arcgarage
      @arcgarage  2 года назад +3

      @@Goc67 The airbag module thinks that the seat is occupied at all times by an adult which weighs 80kg, not matter who sits, the airbag will deploy in case of an accident
