  • Line and Color Quick Start Guide: www.thedrawingcodex.com/quick...
    In this video I cover some basic process for how to build a proportional base (or Mannequin) Using a Loomis style Method. I then demonstrate the basics of how to add muscle on top. And do a simple demo for how to pose the figure.
    I'll add some more videos soon expanding on these concepts (coming up with different poses using a stick figure mannequin, and how to add different types of muscles)
    With most types of stylised types of art - There is often a mix of structure and perspective and technical drawing.... combined with symbols and abstract features.
    Once you get good at blocking in proportion with the Loomis Method you can use it to suit your own style.
    It's just a tool you can use to help you draw cool stuff!
    Happy Drawing!

    I had a lot of fun drawing along with this lesson. Really makes a difference having a teacher go through the book with you. I don't feel like I'm just copying the figures. I look forward to catching up with the other lessons you've posted.

    Much appreciate all your effort and time you spent on creating this video. Recently I started to work on anatomy, perspective and all other bases - it's a tough lesson in humility and self-discipline. Lessons from a pro like you is more than I can ask for. Leaving a comment and sub in a hope it's gonna increase your YT reach - thank you!

    Just subbed! 😭 This channel is EXACTLY what I needed. I was hitting a block in how to draw figures from imagination and in perspective. Also with improving my gesture drawings. And THIS channel is going to help push me forward. Thank you so much! Aspiring Mangaka one day 😂

    You fucking rock man. I'm glad I stumbled across your channel. Your emphasis on fundamentals -- the ACTUAL nuts and bolts of good drawing -- with a clearcut destination in mind is exactly what I could've used when starting out and you're really going to help a lot of people. On top of that I love your work -- your shape design is really top notch.

    Hey Tim, I was wondering on your thoughts about A.I. art. I was ignoring it for ages 'till I started to see some stuff that looked pretty cool. Now I am very worried. :/

    Tim your vid’s are GOLD! thank you for making these! When I buy the drawing codex are your lessons like the ones on your RUclips channel?

    • @TheDrawingCodex
      @TheDrawingCodex  Год назад +2

      Thanks! The videos in my courses are similar for sure. Although I would say in honesty, my presentation skills have improved over the last year or so of doing RUclips regularly. So some of the pacing and polish is not quite as exciting. :-)
      I’m working to update and improve the courses by adding more tutorials and updating some of the videos so that they feel closer to my RUclips stuff.
