I learned switch in less than a week this season. I did "switch hours" where every day I focused on switch for a hour. Whether that was on the bunny hill or lapping beginner runs, the switch hours helps you still enjoy your the rest of the day instead of trying to hammer out a full switch day. I can make it down the entire mountain on greens and blues switch now, but I still need to practice jumping and hitting features switch. I have done FS 180s, now for BS 180s.
Learning to snowboard right now. 31 yo male snowboarded when i was 16 like q hand full of times. I ride switch just cuz i know i need to in general i dont really have a dominant side.
I ride a posi posi setup with fairly large angles as I get severe knee pain with any angles that are remotely switch friendly. So whilst I can ride switch, I never do.

Once you master it, you'll forget which way is you normally ride.
I usually practice riding switch at the end of the day when I am tired enough to stay on a green run.
I highly recommend having kids and spending two seasons following them on the bunny hill...switch. Thankful I went thru that.
This is good advice. I can’t recommend this enough. I wish I was told this when I was younger and learning to ride.
It’s nice switching it up constantly throughout the day so you don’t get tired
Okay but some directional boards are NOT designed for switch and hard af to carve on the tail.
It makes it so much more fun too

Switch is life
I just learned 360 switch, yay!
Should a beginning invest in another true twin board just to ride switch?
No, you don’t need a true twin board to ride switch
Nope, i ride like crazy and i dont do butter and i dont ride switch and i am completly fine.
I have a skeleton key snowboard so the back is different from the front. Can I still ride switch?
Yes you can, it will just feel weirder because the board isn't a twin.
@@ian3166 thanks 😊
