this game is just so incredible, i dont know why it draws me to it so much
this tv show speaker was my idol when I was 12 years old. when I was a teenager I was like him, I closed my facebook and move abroad to be a different working person. now almost 35 my intuition was right. I understood that every experience is universal, no one is special, the same things happen to every person more or less everywhere
Here in 2024, i love this game so much, memories of playing it with my childhood best friend terrified in parts of the game so bade we had to look away , but the story had us hooked so we kept playing!

I just saw this on Good Old Games Galaxy for like £1... I totally forgot about this game! I wasn't sure if I was mixing it up with Condemned, but that was a couple of years later. Gamespot's audio mixing on this review is so bad, the game sounds are way too loud when he's speaking lol. It's awesome seeing these classic video reviews on this channel though!

The best storyline I have seen in any horror shooter, great action and what do you want more? 10 of 10 for this game, and the best part, it's freeware now!!! Woho!
I wish this had a HD Release
The PC version, even after patching is still very buggy, audio suffers the most. Play it on the xbox / ps2 if you have the chance.

he's got a point the arsenal is pretty small for a game that takes place in a prison
@GodzGamerz The PC version is free now and I recently downloaded it and I have to agree that it plays much better than the console version.

man when i played the suffering 1 for the first time i was excited but looking at it now i have this to say I LOVE THE SUFFERING! i also played the demo of the suffering 2 first on shaolin monks and i liked that one too cant wait for christmas so i can get both of the hopefully at gamestop
A game where your rage lets you transform into a hulking beast with inhuman power and speed is definitely awesome :)

I loved these games. Thes type of games are my favorite. Dark, gritty, real feeling games. I know the monsters and shit arnt real, but its not kiddy shit. This is something you would have to turn off if you were having company over. I love it!

I remember first playing this game with my step brother, in the dark, volume turned up, and just screaming and running away blasting everything. Great Game! it is rare that a game actually makes me jump and this is one of them =)
I never got to beat it because the pc/freeware version is so unstable that it kept crashing and losing my progress.

@ahcidkdfj Its one of the best games I have ever played, and very memorable and original when you think about the morality ending ploy. I can't give it lower than a 9,0!
