Thank you so much for this video. I just received my 7x12 Dime magnetic hoop for my Brother Dreamweaver Innov XE (sew/emb) 6200D machine. I hope to have lots of great embroideries with it.
I just received my monster hoop and I'm really pleased with using it...I've been able to leave it on the machine and simply move my quilt...very easy. The one thing that I was not happy about it that the measurement tape around the hoop is something you have to put on yourself. It is very difficult to get them to match across from each other. This measurement is very important especially for perfect placement when using the IQ Designer. I would like to suggest that they be installed before shipping or at the very least, the center points be marked on each side. By the time I figured it out, I tore one of the tapes while repositioning it. There are a couple of other stickers, with no instructions for their use. Otherwise, I think this is a great product and I'll be making good use of it. Thank you.
@@dzgns I agree with Ann. The tape measure that comes with the hoop should be installed on the hoop prior to shipping. The cross hair files available on the DIME website only has files that cover hoops up to 6" x 10". I ordered and received the DIME Monster 150mm x 400mm (5.906" x 15.748") for my Bernina 880. Although my machine has built into it a choice of selecting the Mega Hoop 150 x 400, it does not recognize the DIME hoop of the same size. The Maga Hoop sewing area is smaller than the DIME magnetic hoop even though the hoops are the same size. I will not be able to use a design with a sewing area larger than what the Mega hoop can embroider which defeats the purpose of purchasing the Monster. Also, the Monster came with stickers with no indication as to what they are for. DIME needs to add more instructions with their product. In addition, it would be helpful to redesign the hoop with a lever for separating the two hoop pieces easier.
Hi, I am new to machine embroidery and I love it. I have a Janome MC550E which I just adore but I’m plagued with puckering. I’ve done all sorts of stabiliser combinations to no avail. Does this cut down the incidence of puckering? (Fingers crossed)
are they good just for loose quilting designs (how i see them used most often) or can they be used for more densely digitized purchased designs? i have a hard time thinking the fabric would remain aligned for high stitch counts or even for thin fabrics-- like calico or WSS and FSL
I purchased two Monster hoops for quilting in the hoop. HORRIBLE experience. The top slides off of the quilt sandwich when the arm moves. They're totally useless and my sewing shop insisted that these would work for my purpose.
I purchased one of these hoops for my Baby Lock Ellure Plus. According to the box I have the one that should fit my machine. But when I try to install it, it just will not snap in place. It continues to be loose. i have measured the little hooks where it snaps in and all seems right, I just cannot get it to snap in. I don't want to hurt my machine. What do I need to do?
Good day!My Brohter embroidery Innovice V3 SE. Standard hoops are 8" *12" . Will Snap Hoop Monster size 8" *12" fit my embroidery ? Will I be able to whip up big sandwiches on them? Thanks
Has anyone tried their 4x4 one on a brother machine, it says on amazon that it works on LB5000 but some reviews said it didn’t work for their machine that was listed so im worried

Eileen, I purchased a monster snap hoop to use with my Bernina 830 embroidery machine. I have attached the hoop to the embroidery unit and have selected a design to embroider. However, the machine does not recognize the monster hoop, it chooses instead the Bernina Jumbo hoop. Is there something I need to do so that the machine recognizes the Monster Hoop. I will be really bummed it I can't figure this out. I have some of your other hoops and haven't had a problem with them. Thank you for any advice you can give me. Judy Rikansrud
Most likely, there is a small (very small) adjustment that you can make on the hoop. The bottom frame is made up of three parts: the metal frame, an aluminum rail and the attachment with movable tabs). Hold the bottom frame in one hand and pinch the tabs on the attachment with your other hand. While pinching the tabs, slide the attachment back and forth so you can become familiar with the movement of the attachment. Release the tabs when you hear it lock in place on the rail. Once locked in place, place the hoop on a flat work surface and hoop the fabric. When attaching the hoop to the machine, DO NOT let the attachment move on the rail. Just pinch the tabs to slip the hoop into place on the pantograph (embroidery unit). ~Eileen

Thanks for the tutorial! Should the hoop have a lot of movement in the part that attaches to the embroidery unit? The metal moves a fair bit.
When I try to use them for quilting, the top completely comes off. Useless.
