He is an entire generation's favorite science educator with multiple popular shows and books as well as a large, engaged following on social media. Wow bill was a large part of my childhood and now he throws my favorite brand. Full circle moment.
He was part of my childhood as well. Something cool from my childhood. I was just old enough to see the end of bottle openers on gas pumps. Coca-Cola bottled pop was still made in the United States. Bottled soda pop was sold at most gas stations. It was a part of the culture at the time. My dad drove to a gas station to pick up candy and soda pop at a gas station for me and my brother. Maybe we would stop off for lunch at McDonald's. McDonald's has gotten worse over time. Listening to music on the radio while one of my folks was driving. Stopping off at the park. Visiting my grandparents.

I have been buying and throwing Innova since 1985, if by bringing on Bill Nye (the alleged “science guy”) they hope to keep or gain more Innova players they may be disappointed. If given a choice to play with a celebrity ambassador I will go with Andrew Zimmer in a heartbeat. At least Bill Nye is an ambassador and hopefully not involved in R&D, leave that to Mr. Dunipace and the other disc golf design gurus who know what they are doing.
