You had me at fairway driver feel.
Interesting: the Gorgon fills the empty slots between the Beast (10 5 -2 2) and Monarch (10 5 -4 1) and has different numbers for Star (10 6 -2 1) and GStar (10 6 -3 1) plastics.
Make sense G star tends to be a bit More under stable. A gstar firebird is a lowkey amazing disc to bag
@@aron4117 Yeah Innova is more likely to use different flight numbers for GStar and DX for anything 10-speed and above. I guess I just wasn't expecting to see it here, but it's nice they are continuing this for future disc releases. 🙂

Innova has the Mystere which is the closest to hybrid I can think of.
Prodigy came up with a Hybrid Driver, like the H3V2, was waiting for an Innova run at it.

Looks almost as good as the Medusa made in Gresham, OR! Skyquest made this and she immediately became one of my go to disks. Softer plastic so she can get the best distance whether from an overhand or finger-flip grip. And I can put her within 3-5 yards of where I am aiming up to about 250 feet.
Is it me, or is this one of the first times Innova has put different flight numbers for different plastics? Disc looks 👌🏼 btw. Can’t wait to try it out
They generally do it for select 10-speed discs and faster. Examples I'm aware of from the 2020 Innova Flight Chart: Invictus, Mystere, Tern, Vulcan, Katana, Shryke, Boss, Colossus, Corvette. There may be others, but that's what I'm aware of currently.
No it's not, the savant, I think the trex, and another mold, can't remember

Just got a Star Gorgon. Took it out for a round and found myself throwing 30-40ft further than my longest drives. Sneaky distance is right.

my flatter champion sidewinder beat into what i think this disc is which is a disc i put on decent bit of hyzer using about 30% power with maybe a 5mph - 10mph tailwind for 330ft-360ft tight lines.. agree?

Looks like it flies like the Beast did before it returned to the original old mold. Definitely interested! The old mold Beast is too overstable.

That’s one way to describe it. But Gorgon has sneaky far glide
Why do the different plastics have different numbers?
g star is less stable
GStar has a slightly higher dome and flatter lower wing (lower parting line) which seems to contribute to the additional turn.
Assuming the plan is to run in Champion plastic as well?

Entirely new mold parts, new design
SL 10 5 -1 1 is the best disc mold of all time, and flies the exact same for me as the flight in this video. A shame they stopped producing it.

you would be able to throw a lot further if your run up line wasnt so sideways but a smidgen more backwards... that will give your disc pull through path a straight path vs V shape like you use now.. . this correction added 75ft easy to every shot nearly..
Tbh, not a form improvement guy. Been throwing the same for 20 years, is what it is. Fun is my focus

Yea numbers are fairly similar and my older champ ones beat in to almost this flight. Not much experience with newer runs. Most newer innova is more stable then originals.

Relatively, it's not as wide as the faster distance drivers, feels more like a fairway driver
Looks identical to a discraft heat/scorch to me. The real question is will it hyzer-flip out of the box for someone that throws 375' or fly like a thunderbird until it see's a headwind and gets wildly unpredictable like a roadrunner. Also we want the old star logo back this new stuff just looks childish. Make innova great again.

We fit 10 speeds into the “long range” bucket. This video is a quick first look at a new disc, not a touring pro review. But yeah, if you’re casually huckin putters 350, this disc might be a good roller for you.
When is Innova going to stop selling defective “bubble rim” plastic? Why has this been acceptable to you as a company?
Maybe get a somewhat pro to test throw the discs. Konas dad isn't the best representation
I disagree. More golfers can relate to him better than a pro.
Do you think pro's have a big need for a flippy 10 speed? Are pro's watching disc reviews on youtube? I think whomever is in the video is a better representation of who this disc may benefit and is watching these videos rather than a pro that will likely use it as a roller disc.
I hear ya. This is just a first look video to give you all early insights. We'll get some pro reviews for a legit Flight School video. I do think it's a disc that most intermediate and advanced players will dig because of it's sneaky distance for modest power throwers, like me. Hoping it's relatable in that way.
90% of players can't throw like pros. See: all the people throwing their brand new meathook Time Lapses.
