Hope you all enjoy this video! Bunch of great conversations! Huge thank you to Eagle for being on the channel and sharing some awesome insights. Next week at BSF we will be having Paul McBeth as our guest!
Now I want to see the practice round with simon
Back to putting with Proto Telos?
Yay! Can't wait for next week's!
Any guess when the video with Paul will be posted? Thanks!
Thanks for having me on the channel! Hope you all enjoy!
Any time! Let’s do it again! I challenge you to a steak eating contest 🤝
Thanks for putting this content together!
@EagleMcMahon which model of Vivo barefoot do you recommend for DG?
I’m curious why the change to jump putting for you eagle? Was your method of putting from c2 hard on your shoulder?
LESS GO EAGLE!
DGN needs to Drew to do this for their channel. Great interviews in a wonderful format. It seems like we are playing a round with them and just having a conversation. Great job Drew!
Ha! Sheesh that’s a concept.
It's nice hearing Eagle go in depth on stuff. Very well spoken and insightful. He seems very reserved normally, so it's nice to see how he is when he feels more comfortable being himself.
🫡
No chance either of you will be forgotten about .. Great content. Love these videos Drew!
Glad you like them!
No way the fans will forget about Drew with the snap you get on the disc or Eagle with his arsenal of shots.
I love hearing the various people talking about why they got into disc golf and what they love about the sport!!!
🎉
Great video guys. Some really good conversation. Drew, you asked some great questions. Eagle dropping some wisdom.
I really love your thoughtful discussions, Drew. It's cool to see someone capture real conversations. I also definitely appreciate the conversation about taking care of your body - I'm no disc golf pro but at 28 it hit me as well that I need to start taking care of my body if I want to keep living for the next while! Thanks for the content dude.
This feels like an amazing podcast, on a disc golf course, during a practice round. Keep it up D
The discussions you had were amazing, and there isn't enough people who have realized the "Trust the process", or improve your self and the results will follow. You put way less stress on your self, and thus your performance is way more relaxed. Great video as always!
Great point!
Another great interview! Love the style of this content. Knowing more about Eagle, I respect him in another way. Thanks Drew!
this was hands down one of best videos/ DG cotent ive ever viewed. My girl and i were cooking while this was on in the back round and it was so lovely to hear the conversation between you two. Everythning was so relateble to in so many ways. Eagle dood, keep fyling high
I really like the longer in depth conversations.
Thanks for watching.
Wow " no man steps in the same river twice". Great content!
Great interview and great video showing my beautiful state!
Probably some of my favorite discgolf content at the moment, im a little burnt on some other discgolf content i guess, been watching a lot but still getting deep in the minds of the pros is really nice
Thanks for watching!
Loved this video, fun to see Eagle he's been one of my favorites for years, so happy to see him healthy.
Same. Disc golf is better with him.
Love these interview style practice rounds! Great work Drew!
Great! Thank you for interesting perspectives on discgolf and goals!
Yall should play Brooktrails in Willets, CA. The course in Napa is crazy too.
This was refreshing to watch!
Drew I agree with you 100% about eagle and his insane putting. And what looked to be blocked situations slow ceiling death parts yes 100%. I tried to copy my putting style off eagle. Because of how accurate good he is
This was an awesome video Drew!
Thanks for sharing so much guys
"The best moments are yet to come." Gotta love it.
Very valuable lesson there I think. Wait till the end of the video he touches on it again.
Love the toss and talk style Drew 👌🏽 These are ‘aspiring Pro’ golden nuggets dude 🙌🏽
Fella needs a podcast eh?? 🤩
Two of my favs just BS'ing on the course. Good stuff. Thanks Drew and Eagle!
Our pleasure!
Eagles guardrail straddle forearm 500 ft park job. For the 700 ft park job. Anytime winning a tournament and being in the driver's seat. And let's not forget that that guy could hit a pbogey and then go on one hell of a 30 streak. And yes to be out of disc golf for that long come to the European open and dominate. Or coming back and throwing left hand then sewing really good shots left-handed
Love these, as a note they would be so much better with someone filming and zooming in on shots. Can't really track throws beyond a couple hundred feet
Excellent video drew! Its great to see this type of insight!
Great video. You are getting way better at asking questions.
I appreciate that!
@drewgibson is nailing this content. Slow paced, get to know these guys as humans, and throw some discs. Ratio for success.
Thanks for watching!
The Drew Gibson infomercial channel!
Thanks for tuning into MY channel 😂😂😂😂
Great video. Thanks! Also, you mentioned weight training. Any chance of a video going over what to work on?
Curious. Eagle is rocking a cardinal logo on his shirt, is that to help Scott Stokely promote his new disc?
Need to know who’s blasting Tube right off the first tee and how can I be best friends with them
Also, question: while you guys are in the PDX area, do you ever play other courses in the area just for fun? Like will you be playing either Pier Park or Timber Park?
Would also recommend checking out my home courses, Leverich Park & Hockinson Meadows, just north of PDX in Vancouver WA.
Typically we don’t
Looking healthy Eagle!!!!
Eagle full of wisdom. Drew, this is still by far the best dg content (period)
🫡 thank you
Nice job! Bring in Jomez and make Disc golf interview in the style of HotOnes, can you beat Drew at disc golf, during a spicy interview?
😂😂
The best part is phish in the background.. jk.. but really, love that
I think Zephyr Cove is the Tahoe course he meant by "the other one"
Why would you play in Tahoe, when you could play at Swenson Park in beautiful Stockton?
Winning a Major? If that was my goal I would pick which Major course highlighted my current skills and then I would move to that area and practice that specific lay out at the course. I would play that course more than any course.
Eagle Jamming Tube on hole 1? iykyk
Great video! Don't sell yourself short Drew
Too late 😂
What are the MVP discs you're bagging right now Drew? I know about the Watt, Envy & Glitch but do you throw anything else?
Envy and watt only
When you guys are standing on the tee talking, drew looks like a hobbit standing next to eagle 😂
This will be the greatest practice Rd ever!
Crushing a sick tube on hole 1. Who’s the phish fan?
Wow, has Eagle gotten taller?
I’ve shrunk 😂😂
Just me or has Eagle bulked up a bit? Looks stronger
That's what I thought too
Definitely. Especially in person. He’s in great shape now
I clicked so fast when I read the title...
🦅 has landed
If i didnt know about disc golf & i saw the great shots thrown at Northwood Black i would think it was awesome, i would think " How the hell are they getting around all them trees?" & it wouldnt be shocking if they hit some of the trees
Rare take
"Don't half-ass 2 things, whole-ass 1 thing."
😂
Eagle looks healthier now that he is a carnivore.
Drew you may be forgotten. But Hugh F will live forever, heard he is getting a new a body transplant when his current body gets too old. His brain has been claimed for research by NASCAR corporate for future race car driver breeding.
Didn't Devan Owens win it?
Throwing a disc is different than watching someone throw a disc. Just because it feels good to throw at a particular hole does not mean it feels good to someone watching it. Scenic places are good! I personally do not like watching sky hyzer after sky hyzer land close to the basket; it’s Boring when you see many similar shots no matter if it went 150 or 500 ft.
Great questions but I don't think you need to feed (or maybe guess) your guests' answers to the questions.
Drew, you sound almost identical to Rizwan Virk. He's been on some big podcasts lately and when I heard him, I thought it was you! Check out his Rogan episode. Super fascinating guy too, very interesting conversation.
Nice video here too. Eagle had some gems. His thought on learning how to film dg needs some investment. Dg has some big potential for filming improvements
Drew you step putt with the wrong foot. Your welcome mr miss low
It’s cause I don’t step putt… Thanks Mr Troll
@@DrewGibson Lmao sorry you gotta deal with stupid people sometimes man! Thanks for what you do for the sport.
I am reporting this video for being too informative!
😂😂
62 comments in 8 hours. This channels hoppin. Maybe get a better guest, haven't heard of this guy before.
Satire? Sorry not understanding 😂
@@DrewGibson I can tell. Ha. Don't blow it today.
@@PinchTheSack😂😂😂 geez you’re creative.
@@DrewGibson catch up and I'll buy a shirt.
Hole one OB 😭
these practice rounds are gold! so much wisdom from the best in the business - skill wise and experience wise. u and eagle are 2 of my favs. keep it up!
I appreciate that!
@@DrewGibson I second that, thank both of you big time for what you do for the sport!
Eagle's perspective on how to grow the sport is legendary and needs everyone's consideration
🎉
I’ve Been loving how a lot of the tour players are consistently uploading vlogs!
Love your practice round interviews!
According to both quantitative and qualitative research, stretching before exercise does nothing to reduce the incidence of injuries, the severity of them, and does not reduce the recovery time of injuries sustained. Think about it for a second: when was the last time you saw a Cheetah do a bunch of stretches before a massive chase? If hours of inactivity resulted in injuries during a chase, that would be extremely counter-evolutionary.
Stretching IS important for sports - and it is regular yoga which reduces the incidence and severity of injuries, as well as reducing the recovery time.
When you get to the disc golf course, the only thing you need to do is to WARM UP. That means playing 3 or 4 holes, or the equivalent. Once you have done that, you are 100% prepared for competition.
Loving these practice rounds!
Thanks for watching!
Dude I loved this video , this course and you two throwing ! Great conversations too! Thanks Big Drew !
Drew is right. Old eagle would just be running these putts. Its interesting to hear eagle say he wasnt that guy When he was Infact that guy. Needs his confidence back
Tahoe would be incredible, the redwoods would be awesome. Hope someday it can happen. Also Donner ski ranch is a very fun course
Has to be the favorite practice round I've ever seen. You guys are so honest and real.
Thanks Drew... really enjoy learning about you and fellow players
The some of best pro player insights about disc golf, life and competition that I’ve seen in along time. Best of luck in Portland this weekend past champions.
Thanks for watching! Thank you.
@26:20 shot of Drew's back, "hmm."...jump cut to throwing the next hole. Great interview, dude.
i used to grip the disc about 70% based off Eagle but now i grip at like 15% strength and i swear the disc goes just as far but my accuracy is better and my body doesnt hurt afterwards...
Man, this was such a good one.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the goofy stuff on the other channels as well, but having two smart kids who are also jovial enough to not make it awkward while talking about more "serious" stuff is really interesting. While I don't always agree with your takes, I do absolutely appreciate your thought process and where it comes from.
The one question I really would've liked to hear is where is Eagle at the moment health-wise. Is he at 100%, is he 100% and feeling comfortable in his body or still getting accustomed. His results haven't quite been there yet, so it would be interesting with the majors approaching.
Honestly, even on the wooded holes, what would REALLY help. Is some kind of map, in every shot. Showing where the player was throwing from in relation to the basket. If you missed a hole layout or practice round. It's kind of frustrating just watching someone throw without any clue what the next shot might be to or where they are going in relation to where they are at that moment. With a ball related sport. Basketball, football, soccer, etc etc. I know where the players are in relation to their goal or objective EVERY time I turn a TV on. Disc golf, at times, requires an 80 page research paper trying to figure out what a layout looks like
Effortless power and for that guy to be able to throw four hand and backhand as accurate and as far as he does. That is why he's one of the best.
These are my favorite videos that you put out. Nice long form conversations with the pros.
You guys for that conversation helped a lot (no man steps in the same river twice)
I love the content! Thanks for interviewing!!!
Love your content, you do a super good job with the content
Berserk referenced. Big Struggles!
Does anyone know the jersey eagle is wearing?
Won’t like me reply with link, but this is from cardinal disc golf joey Temali tour 2024 jersey.
Joey Temali Cardinal tour series jersey
I see that chest Eagle. great job
Eagle sam thing happened to me i stopped throwing FH to focus on my BH and got that max up from 500ft to 600ft and now i cant throw a FH over 400ft lol .. guess you have to practice everything or the stuff you dont practice takes a hit..
Good stuff as usual.
Mother of God... all the in-video ads.. I think I'm out, dude. Not up for all the ads. I really like YOU as a person, as a disc golfer - amazing. But I just don't like constant product placement. No offense. I think it's important to tell you why I won't personally be watching because the ads just rub me the wrong way. Still love how you throw, so this makes me sad. Sorry.
RUclips’s doing. Sorry. Maybe try premium? Seems like a good solution!
great interview
Why does it say the 5th Portland open? The Portland open has been around for longer than 5 years, maybe at this location, but that’s incorrect.
Wrong people to ask.
i feel ya Drew i always miss right of the basket even if i move body to left i still miss right haha
Hello! I am 26 year old dude, and I loved watching this. I started around 2019.
What do you and Eagle think the Finnish are doing since their crowds are much bigger?
Also, I personally would love seeing disc golf at Lake Tahoe or other scenic places. If I were making millions of dollars a year, I would love to make RUclips videos where I go to exotic and very scenic disc golf places for 2 reasons- my own enjoyment, as well as for the growth of the sport. Maybe you guys could do this when you retire!
Eagle and Ezra need to do a video purely talking about Food and nutrition
Oh man
Biggest reason I work out and seems like you two agree! I live disc golf but not enough to not play catch with my kids one day, so for now I skip some rounds to workout instead and take care of my joints and body! Love the talks!
If you lost 25 pounds you'd feel so much better. You'll feel 22 again. You should challenge Uli who can get lean and mean first. Yet, everyone is different and you should be happy no matter what.
eagle is growing into well of wisdom and mindfulness. it’s a pleasure to see. thanks for this format, drew- you’re nailing it.
Really enjoying your content this season. You need to have Big Jerm on so you two can interview each other simultaneously.
