You haven't just added to the conversation, you've reinvigorated theorycrafting in the fandom and introduced so much clarity to previously muddled plot elements. There are a lot of thing you've said in your videos that made me go, "Duh! That's so obvious!" And yet you were the first person to actually make those connections. Every video of yours that has come out on Inscryption has been a *fandom event*. We all gather around and watch the videos as fast as possible and then discuss your findings and how they make everything fit together - or how they introduced intriguing new ideas nobody had considered before. Trust me when I say your videos on the Mullinsverse are the best-researched, most thorough videos that current fans will be sending to new fans for years to come. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication, Flaw Peacock. Your floppiness will forever be legendary.
Can concur on that last sentiment! I'm a new fan- finally played inscryption just last week (I've been meaning to forever)- and when the ending was so abrupt and I was so confused I looked online for an answer and overwhelming found various people recommending this series! And I do not regret it, not only have I gotten to watch these, but now I've got a whole new channel to watch through the next couple weeks
I just understood something. Last Kaycee's entry was number 12. But what is 13th arkana? Death! Now let's see other entries. Entry #1 (The Magician) - Angler catches old_data and walks even though there is no such animation. The Magician represents "ability to cultivate and fulfill potential" Entry #2 (The High Priestess) - Everything went 3D. The High Priestess represents "secrets, mystery, the future yet unrevealed" Entry #3 (The Empress) - Kaycee's playing new game and poking around. The Empress represents "fruitfulness, action, initiative; also doubt, ignorance" Entry #4 (The Emperor) - Kaycee sees Leshy (in a Woodcarver's mask) talking about old_data. Also she found Kaminski's logs. The Emperor represents "authority, establishment, a father figure" Entry #5 (The Hierophant) - Kaycee's addicted to this version. She's planning to make a mod. The Hierophant represents "alliance, servitude, inspiration" Entry #6 (The Lovers) - Leshy has got Kaycee Hobbes' ghoul skull in his cabin. Kaycee wants to "hack" getting up the table in game. The Lovers represents "attraction, love, trial overcome" Entry #7 (The Chariot) - Kaycee discovers "a doomsday machine" after digging a little bit. The Chariot represents "war, vengeance, trouble" Entry #8 (Strength) - Kaycee leaves her apartment as an exception. She ripes some foil and loses to some guy. Strength represents "action, courage, also success" Entry #9 (The Hermir) - Kaycee finds out what Leshy did to PO3. She hands this card back to Leshy. The Hermit represents "prudence, circumspection, also treason, corruption" Entry #10 (Wheel of Fortune) - Kaycee nearly throws out the disk. She's uncertain about nature of KC. Wheel of Fortune represents "element of change" Entry #11 (Justice) - Kaycee thinks nobody will play this version of game but then she dreams about opposite (which is true 'cause we are playing this mod). Justice represents "equity, rightness, triumph of the deserving side" Entry #12 (The Hanged Man) - Kaycee buries this disk within a box somewhere. She's planning to burn it. The Hanged Man represents "wisdom, circumspection, intuition, also trials, sacrifice" Now 13th arkana Death represents "end, mortality, destruction, corruption". These 13 arkanas interpretations coincide with Kaycee's story in this game. Is this valid connection?
The reveal that P03 actually succeeded in uploading Inscryption and potentially saved those on the disk makes me almost cry. It's like thinking a friend is dead or a pet is missing, and then you're given a bit of hope that they might be okay. I'm utterly ashamed of how much this game gets me emotionally. The fact that P03's evil scheme that we try to stop might be the only reason that anyone survives the deletion process. It's poetic, in a way. Makes me wish I could apologise to this fictional character. Our stoat stands unopposed.
Also the fact that he chooses to show himself in his stoat form imposed by Leshy, which he loathed so much, instead of his usual robo form. I think that’s special too
Another thing about P03 that's interesting is that despite being present and concious when the Bone Lord explains the OLD_DATA to Luke, P03 doesn't elaborate on what the Bone Lord said. It's another point towards P03 being more considerate than he initially appears.
What I find really interesting is that if the Inscryption we play is the one uploaded by P03, and if we take into consideration the fact that to see that final video you need to solve an ARG that exposes Gamefuna, then P03 also, well. exposed Gamefuna. And with that little wink to the camera, it seems a bit on purpose. What is going on in that guy's head.
17:53 That’s the neat part: they didn’t. Originally, the community lucked into the correct answer by looking at the roof of Leshy’s cabin in Act 2. The method was wrong, but by sheer dumb luck, the answer was right. It wasn’t until Flemmbons did some digging and asked Mullins about that step that he went in and found the answer the “correct” way-MONTHS after the ARG had been solved.
did you see the other video flemmbons made about the numbers in the floor textures? that solution was so obscure i dont know how anyone was meant to find it naturally lol
It wasn't exactly dumb luck- well I mean it IS, it's just that Mullins likes call-backs and made it so both solutions reference Hopeless Soul's password: 2734. The same numbers also appeared in the Hex apparently
To note about Deathcards, there are actually more than four premade deathcards. There's Kaycee, Kaminski, Louis, and Reginald, the ones we're familiar with, but did you know that after dying enough times in Act 1, you can start to see deathcard choice nodes on the map? They give you a choice of deathcards to take into your deck. However, the game doesn't want to give you duplicate deathcards- so what would happen if you somehow had every single vanilla and custom deathcard in your deck, and then visited a deathcard node which ought to have nothing left to give you? The game actually has a fallback for this, probably as more of an error catch than anything, but it gives you a deathcard named 'Luke Carder', which is a 4/4 with no sigils and no cost. This is exceedingly difficult to do, since it requires a lot of luck but it is still theoretically possible without save editing if you get lucky enough. This would mean that a deathcard for Luke exists somewhere in inscryption before he even boots the game, perhaps the game again predicting the future, and acting as a harbinger of his eventual fate? Kaycee's mod also has it's own cast of deathcards designed to fill out the roster of Leshy's second phase. They're actually all shoutouts to people who worked on Inscryption, like a mini inbuilt credits list. - Berke 2/1 Frozen Away, Guardian | Berke Oğuz Yılmaz is one of Daniel's discord moderators, and also did Turkish localisation for Inscryption. - Cody 3/1 Loose Tail, Burrower | Cody Reader is credited as doing Low Poly 3D art for Inscryption. - David 2/4 Hefty, Sharp Quills | David Hagemann is the main 3D artist for Inscryption. - Sean 1/6 Mighty Leap, Touch of Death | Sean Karemaker did 3D environment work for Inscryption, and also made Goobert's model. - Tamara 2/3 Rampager, Loose Tail | Tamara Orlova did more 3D environments for Inscryption. - Jonah 2/5 Bees Within, Sharp Quills | Jonah Senzel is the composer and sound designer for Inscryption. - Tahnee 1/3 Trifurcated Strike | Tahnee Langshaw is the actress who portrays Amanda. - Kevin 2/3 Rampager, Loose Tail | Kevin Saxby is the actor who portrays Luke Carder. - Daniel 2/2 Double Strike | This is probably Daniel Mullins' personal deathcard if I had to guess, though it might also belong to Daniel Langhjelm, who did 3D environment art for the game. Interestingly, the Kaycee deathcard CANNOT show up in Leshy's fight in Kaycee's mod, but Louis, Reginald, and Kaminski can.
It wouldn't necessarily need to be in the game before he starts playing. If you get to the point where that can happen then it would follow that Luke has almost certainly played and gotten his picture taken many times, creating several images of him that could be consolidated into a card with his name on it that represents his soul captured in full.
maybe since the game we are playing already happen and what we are playing is the kamcorder copy the luke card is like a reference that yes luke is already dead by the time we are playing the game instead of it being thing the game did on its own like a foreshadowing for the player, think about it the game we are playing is the version p03 uploaded so yeah it makes sense that luke would be dead since is clear we is gonna die after learning the data
34:30 Wait, your right. Each scribes form of inscryption does represent how the data was carried. It was first inked onto paper (the cards), they took a photo of them, they inscribed them onto a disk, then gamefuna (Kaycee and co) build a game on top of it which is how Magnificus’ ability works, he try’s to remove the old sigils, if any (what lies at the surface) and then paints his own on top of the card (interestingly, Magnificus never gained hegemony and Inscryption was never fully completed)
I think they may have actually been made, at least the consciousness that joined with the characters, as the method of passing the code formed. Grimora, as she is dying, says something that implies she is older than the game. Her "long life" doesn't make sense if the game is only a little over a decade old and captures her entire lifespan, so she has to be older. I wonder if that also means they all have a different distance and thus understanding of the code which is why Grimora wants to delete the game and with it, hopefully, the code since she is the closest to it and best understands what it really is. Since the code corrupts as it is captured in a different way, I wonder if P03 and Magnificus really understand its danger, and that's why P03 is comfortable expanding online. Magnificus, closer to the result than the source, with his fixation on transformation and perfection through suffering, may only better understand the consequence and be influenced by that.
You might have pointed this out, but I notice that nearly all of the holders of the karnoffel cards\code were shot in the head, and I am including Kaycee in this example. Hitler shot himself in the head, big ear had a gun to his head, Kaycee’s ghoul in inscryption has an icicle in her head, and getting killed off can be referred to as “getting iced” along with the game only saying Kaycee died from fire related injuries. Getting shot in the middle of a fire could probably be considered fire related. And of course, Luke was shot in the head by Amanda.
Kaycee the ghoul was designed before Kaycee the developer died, though she may be a portend of the real Kaycee's fate. But I am 99% certain that the fire at her office was started on purpose, either to try and destroy the Karnoffel Code or to destroy the evidence of someone coming to take it. Kaycee being shot doesn't make sense to me though, since she didn't die immediately at the scene, a gunshot wound would have been noticed. If she did get shot, someone had the power to cover it up. Gamefuna? Kaminsky? The US government themselves?
I don't think you failed. I think you explained the writing and the underlying themes of the narrative very well. Like you said, this was more than 1 person could ever do alone, but what you've done is something I've seen few, if any, youtubers do. It's like you said in one of the previous videos, most fans 'get' the story but don't understand all the underlying themes and finer details. You brought those themes to light for all of us to enjoy and appreciate, and for that I think these videos qualify as a huge success. I'm glad you are still proud of this, you should be because it's amazing. I can't wait to see what you decide to cover next.
As a polish person i was amazed at the messages in polish, and ever more amazed by your ability to actually separate polish from russian accent, which half of the world has a hard time doing. Pieprzony Peacock! But also, as a "floppy" observation - it did strike me that the messages were possible to be written in cyryllic, but the polish letters were missing, making these messages hard to read even for a polish speaker - ex. "Nie udao mi si zama tego szyfrowania" vs "Nie udało mi się złamać tego szyfrowania" how it should be written. Maybe the font simply didn't support them (as it often happens), but it would be really funny if it had a deeper meaning to it. maybe even connected to Kamiński not being able to crack the code? - notice, the Kamiński surname is used throughout the game in its simplified form ń=n but it wasn't used in the messages, instead the letters were missing.
At 41:00 I think you're making one noticeable mistake. He's not asking for a *copy* of super weasel kid, he's asking for a "clone", as in a quick rip off. Like how all FPS games used to be "DOOM Clones", just a quick knockoff that can be done inside of a month or two. So, this could theoretically have been written by Kaminski like a week after the original SWK came out. Edit: Forgot the last sentence.
Yeah, given the tone and context it's said in and the implied massive popularity of SWK I'm thinking this is basically Kaminski saying "why the hell do you have to put all this effort in? just knock out a super mario bros clone or something and call it a day this isn't even a real game"
Yes, Kaminksi doesn't say 09, but FP draws that conclusions and then later (like at 1:13:47) misremembers into thinking the character said 09 specifically. Just a minor error, and certainly wouldn't fix the timeline at the timestamp I mentioned bc it's still post Luke's RUclips career starting, but for dating Kam's message mentioning SWK it's worth considering.
Since he's dealing with Gamefuna, I'd have to assume this would be after their purchase of the SWK IP. Lionel made the first game at 12, and he sold the IP to Gamefuna at 18. Gamefuna seemingly immediately released SWK09, placing the original SWK in 2003, which is when the Steam platform launched. It's also possible that Kaminsky asked for a clone of SWK despite Gamefuna not owning the IP yet but it seems less likely. The fact that Kaycee played with Luke at the game store still leads me to believe the development of Inscryption took place between 2009 and 2011, though it's still possible it happened earlier.
The floppy disk (flaw peadisk?) timeline makes perfect sense to me: in the logs, it clearly sounds to me like the development of inscryption is something that happened a while ago ("they never told us that"..etc.) I think Kaycee just found one of the old disks they used sitting around the office one day (maybe in Natas's office!) and took it home to mess with for nostalgia... and got a big surprise.
I disagree. Entry #1 clearly says that Kaycee was *working* late and testing the *latest build* of Inscryption, which indicates that at least this entry is happening during development. Then in entry #12 Kaminski recalls the disks, but I doubt that he waited from floppy disk era to 2010-ish era to recall them, it can't have been that long. And don't forget that Kaminski mentions Super Weasel Kid while lamenting about how slow Inscryption is being developped. In conclusion, it seems the development of Inscryption was definitely during the 2010s
The idea I got was that they got the box of all blank floppy disks, and knew they needed to bury the KC so decided to put the game on all the floppy disks to cover their bases and use the testing to find the corrupted disk and ideally take it out of production and secure it or destroy it. But they weren't expecting Kaycee to do what she did.
This is EXPLICITLY directly contradicted multiple times as a poster above me has made clear. Inscryption was developed in the modern era by a team Kaycee was on. That's undebatable. The use of floppy disks has to be for some other reason than "the game was actually developed in the 90's", because it just simply wasn't. 🤷
17:44 Fun fact: the ARG solvers didn't! What they did was use the mirror/rorrim clue in conjunction with the F!OOR clue to try and use the broken slats in the roof of Leshy's cabin in act 2 with the safe code. It's an absolute miracle that worked. The true solution wasn't found until Flemmonade asked Daniel Mullins and got some hints about looking at the assets. The big problem is, Daniel made it clear that datamining the game wasn't required for the ARG, and discouraged it since they could just datamine the solution then. Asset Studio was considered to be too close by most players.
I'm so sad you continue to insist people skip your skits! The show stopping number at the top was a wonderful surprise. I absolutely love your personality Flawpy. You're one of the best to EVER do it.
I feel like Inscryption and Mullen’s work in general is less about solving/correctly identifying the story and more about talking about the things you’ve discovered. In that sense I don’t believe you CAN fail. Although I was vaguely aware of Inscryption and pony island as games, I’ve never cared even close to as much as I did thanks to your videos, nor do I think I would have even enjoyed them very much if they weren’t presented so floppy. The way you present information and stitch stories and ideas together, as well as your wide net of knowledge and research really does justice to such an incredible series, and I don’t believe anyone could have told this story quite like you. I greatly look forward to Chapter 3: Flaw Peacock Forever.
I recall in the last video that you said you "didn't think you did a good job" on the first two parts of Inscryption. I just wanted to give my two cents. The word "essay" is a transformation of the French "Essai", which translates to "an attempt". The 16th century philosopher Michel de Montaigne was the pioneer of this kind of writing, and his works reflected the nature of "an attempt" - they were insightful, humorous, and challenging, but never all-encompassing. His essais were meant to add to the discourse, but not completely cover every nook and cranny of a subject. I think your video essays are in the same spirit as Montaigne's essais. You've done your research, but you're not completely in-the-know, so you make "an attempt". And you add to the discourse of the game while being entertaining. I couldn't ask for more from a video essay, and I think Montaigne would approve. ❤ Btw you should check out his book "Essais" - I have a hunch you'd both get a kick out of it and really like the content.
Every time you launch the game, restart, reload, the characters and the story are reset. Even Luke. The Bone Lord, however, seems... different. Unrestrained by this simulated causality. Perhaps, this is the power of the OLD_DATA. Something that remains throughout all the iterations of the game and maybe even the universe outside. The world itself could be reset, but the old data remembers what lies ahead.
1:12:10 Quick note, if it helps remove some confusion, that camcorder guy may not be Luke. It's uncommon, but some Card Game Players (particularly those whom want to become the best) record games that they play in smaller events, then review the footage later. It used to be more common before the start of the pandemic, but it could explain the discrepancy in that the log draws attention to the parallels between Kaycee and Luke. Theirs this kind of unwritten rule of game design and especially electronic games where devs and players are at odds as Creators and Destroyers. If a Dev team can make a mechanic, a player will figure out how to use that mechanic to beat the game faster than the old Domino's delivery motto.
It's technically possible but would Daniel Mullins add text about just any other camcorder card player? From a narrative standpoint that would just make no sense
Hey Hey! Just trying to contribute here, and please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I might have picked up a fact that backs up your theory at 1:00:57 about the old data giving the gameworks it's ability to create sentient characters. From a previous video I watched which took a shot at the Mullinsverse's ARG, it was stated that in his time hiding in Russia, Barry stayed at his son's/daughter's (sorry, can't quiet remember) house, who was currently living with their lover aswell as their young child: Lionell Snill. And being the grandpa he is, Barry spend some time with Lionell, in which a fracture of the old data got onto young Lionell's PC, which later resurfaced as the litteral hex artifact which later opens the portal for root beer Regy to snuff Lionell. In that video it was also stated that this fracture of the old data was the reason Lionell turned out so bitter, corrupt and as kind of an arse, the old data's corrupting presence having caught the young developer in it's vile clutches like so many others. As a side note, I have not a single clue if any of theese facts were proven, I could be entirely wrong and as stated earlier please correct me if I made the midtake here. No matter what, I wish everyone reading this a nice day/night/pancake, and if Peacock is reading this I just want to express my gratitude for your amazing work and effort that flows into your videos, every time I see a notifacation of a new video from the floppy king it brightens my day. Stay safe y'all, Cheers!
It’s strange that Barry’s US ID is from the Department of Defense, and not some three letter agency. Someone in espionage would work for the CIA, who are not a part of the DoD. Either Mullins overlooked this (but I doubt Mullins would miss something so obvious) or Barry is less truthful than we think. He could also just be a former soldier or DIA agent who just switched departments, or some other mundane answer, but if that were the case, we should have been given some evidence of it. In addition, Kaycee saying that the idea of hiding the data in a box full of floppy disks is an idea born from Barry’s stress in the situation lends credence to the idea that Barry isn’t who we think he is, potentially being more of a grifter/con man who stumbled into something larger than himself. It would also explain why Kaycee can’t find Barry in the US, because the name is fake. That’s a little nutty, but food for thought.
Would potentially also explain why his assumed codename is also the name of a radar dish used to detect Soviet missile activity. He may have just picked it from a newspaper article, because the existence of the dish was public knowledge due to it originally being designed and built for astronomy and not espionage
What an amazing intro, your singing is so good! Also your cat is adorable. I love that its just sitting there like " yup, thas my daad" super cute. And now onto this video!
That was SUCH a fun opener to this finale, pleasantly surprised we got it so soon too! Can't believe you wanted us to skip it! Thanks for all the floppiness you've given us from Mullins's wild rides.
The most striking theme is that people are much more than they seem. Leshy is monstrous and beastly, yet careful in his craftsmanship. Po3 is bitter, yet hides sweeter, more excitable points. Lionel is a terrible person, yet he really, truthfully, regrets what he did to Reggie. Lucifer is, in numerous ways, what he seems, but under all his demonic trappings, beyond his pride, he is deeply insecure about himself and how others see his work. So many characters aren't who they say they are. They even give Magnificous, as he seems to have something going on with his connection to Goobert.
oh wow that was quick. EDIT: The reason why the back to beginning cipher got solved was likely because they thought of the demo, checked the page, and saw it got updated on the literal same day as inscryption released with seemingly no actual changes.
I think all of the various copies of Inscryption being worked on would have sentient characters, being Game Works-based (references to the triangle and Irving,) we just see Kaycee notice it because it's only her copy that has the OLD DATA, which would cause the strange behavior that Kaycee would observe. I imagine it's something of a Toy Story situation; as long as nothing triggers a notable lifting of the veil, like the Legendaria stream or the OLD DATA interactions, then the only hints of characters actually being alive is just that they just hit the uncanny valley of depth and realism- "they sometimes seem to be in real pain," "their reactions seem strangely real." It's a minor quibble, I just don't think the OLD DATA is the source of their sentience, given that we know they're build on the Game Works framework, just that they're as impacted by the strange pull of the OLD DATA and the Code as the humans are- it's the same mirror/rorrim microcosm/macrocosm you were pointing out. Whatever's on that disk affects people the same, whether they're made of flesh or of code.
it makes you wonder if these are the real personalities of the scrybes, or if everyones just been scarred by the OLD_DATA and offscreen events. would they always fight like this if they didn’t have something to fight over?
@@abby2577iirc Grimoira states that the OLD_DATA "inspires their (the Scrybes) enmity", possibly in the other copies of Inscryption, without the OLD_DATA, the Scrybes are willing to at least tolerate each other and stick to their own corner of the world, and just follow the intended script close enough that no one would notice. (This also raises a bit of a question with how copies of GameWorks games work, but I digress.)
Alright, the FACT that you sang the bit is already amazing, but to sing it once per costume? Now that love for detail is why I love yer channel, cheers to you floppy!
If someone had told me the guy who made the Faith videos would drop the hottest Tom Lehrer parody of 2024, I would have called them insane! But here we are and I love it!!
Thank you, Mr. Peacock. Even if your fears are true and you just reiterated what has already been discovered, the worst that could happen is you spread the lore and story of these games to people who didn’t already know or people who didn’t have the whole story. I think that in itself was worth the effort and many many hours you put into this project :)
I know you weren't looking for sympathy, and I know how finally putting a long project to bed can feel bittersweet. But this series (and everything on this channel tbh) is some of the best analysis on the platform. Looking back on a huge project, you tend to only see the mistakes, how to execute 'better', where you can fine tune. Trust me, don't look at a Mullins game for 6 months and come back to watch this series, and I think you'll surprise yourself with how insightful the analysis is. Cheers, stay floppy
Two videos in a week? You spoil us, Flaw! It’s been a fun ride watching you tackle Inscryption! I’d love to see you try and take on Disco Elysium sometime, or even just hear your thoughts on it
From someone who didn’t even play the games myself, you certainly did a great job at explaining it! There might be some flaws when looking at it from the perspective of someone who was actively digging into the game. But if you watch these videos with no context at all, you did a great job at explaining things and keeping everything concise, while letting us stew in the information that you will explain later. Good job!
That’s the brilliance of having a community to analyze and build upon the analysis of these games together, where one floppy man thinks he failed, the rest can, and hopefully will, see a step to truly understanding this series even deeper than before, at least until Pony Island two makes it even more complex.
I love Kaycee so much, easily my favorite character to come out the Mullinsverse. A simple creative who just wants to create something people can enjoy. She cares about Leshy and can't give him up even if it could lead to the end of everything. She's so cool
This was a really nice sendoff to Inscryption, you have a great singing voice and i thought your theories made alot of sense. Thanks for the content and cheers to Flaw Peacock Season 3. Im very excited to see what comes next for the channel! All the love and thanks for making my life a little less boring
In other news (besides just pointing out something unimportant to the grand scheme of things), I really do thank you for making such long, comprehensive breakdowns of games like Inscryption, mostly because I am a huge lore nerd myself. I’m sure at this point that you’re very, very aware that there’s only so much a wiki page can do to explain everything. So I’d like to present an interesting pet theory of mine, now nearing the end of the current Mullinsverse journey: The Karnoffel Code, or perhaps some quirk of being converted to the OLD_DATA, is responsible for Gameworks’ capacity for sapient characters. Pony Island establishes Satan as an awful programmer, quite literally in development hell. He needs to knock out our boy Ted for an indeterminate amount of time to barely improve the game and guard it with kind of rudimentary AI in hindsight. Some of them are smart, but all of them are primitive. A wall of ASCII graphics here, a physical keyboard there, even the smartest one is basically a well-spoken text parser from an old adventure game. Maybe, just maybe, Satan could polish his underlings into something fit for human use, but that feels kind of unlikely in hindsight. Meanwhile, quite possibly in between Pony Island and Inscryption, Sado is born from an implied deal with the devil. Maybe the OLD_DATA was kicking around, and maybe the Legendaria card game was produced before the video game (buying existing properties *is* a thing GameFuna does a lot). These are admittedly leaps of faith, but also buy a middle school Luke Carder (and floppy disk tech) a reasonable amount of time to coexist. And then we have what Kaycee’s Mod explains. The OLD_DATA spontaneously created new dialogue, new assets, and the crux of my point, *new life.* We can speculate all day long about what the Karnoffel Code has to do with the Nazis destroying half of Europe, but we can very clearly see the effects of its byproduct no problem. It makes things alive. A perverse form of creation. The digital equivalent of the Jewish myth of The Golem. A little bit of God that Satan has been working on copying for incalculable amounts of time. Whatever makes the OLD_DATA tick, minus Hitler’s cards and everything about them, probably attracted Satan’s notice, got incorporated into his front company’s dev kits, and now The Hex can happen. Maybe it’ll be a part of Pony Island 2, but who knows. So to sum it up, the OLD_DATA is responsible for breathing life into video game characters, was picked up by Satan as essentially random noise that happened to be very useful for game development (and human suffering), and became the foundation of Gameworks going forward. Any questions? >How did Irving talk to anybody if Gameworks didn’t function properly before the OLD_DATA’s SECRET_SAUCE? That’s a great question. Uhhhh the Mulllinsverse runs on Wreck-It Ralph rules where they’re sentient even without outside influence? >You don’t have an answer do you? Not a really convincing one, I’d say. To pull the curtain back a little, I realized halfway into writing this that I’d completely forgotten Irving’s involvement in Inscryption, but decided to commit to writing it out anyway. Maybe there’s some more information to be found. Maybe these details aren’t supposed to be 100% coherent at all times. Maybe the ambiguity of meta storytelling leaves these gaps of information in on the grounds of speculation being more fun and engaging than outright fact. >Or maybe you’re a hack trying to explain away being wrong on the internet by getting suddenly philosophical, for an audience that could fit in a small classroom, and attempting to deflect that shame by doubling down on the intense self-aware meta bullshit you are writing as I speak. Hey, I said it, not me.
1:14:56 I think a reason Gamefuna may use blank floppy disk for playtesters would be to stop leaks from happening online, music artist will use USB and other Alternative methods to make sure certain beats or ideas for songs are stolen or are leaked before perfection/tuning. Kaycee wouldn't think it weird if shes been a game tester her whole life.
for claration, what I mean is the cloud is the most meta and modern way to store music, however they will still use older method's to hide ideas. think of other examples like john wicks whole Black market hitman bounty bored is done through old telephones and computers decommissioned from back in da day
The intention, care, patience, and pure attention to detail you have for every piece of art you’ve analyzed on this channel makes my world a cooler place. As an artist I dream of people being able to parse through mine and others’s creations like this. Not only is ur curation goated, the way you connect with everything you’ve made so deeply makes it enthralling to watch. Thanks man. U didn’t fail sh*t in my eyes.
In regards to the development timeline its worth noting that while KC doesnt note the wierdness of developing on floppy disk in 2010s she also doesnt seem shocked enough by 3d graphics do be pre-CD. She is only shocked because those assets didnt seem to exist prior but not at them existing at all
Jeez, that was the LONGEST and DEEPEST conspiracy/secret code nonsense I’ve ever watched. From pony island, the hex, to these 4 videos. I have seen my fair share of story’s about internet puzzles, but man Daniel Mullins takes the cake. Watching you piece every little detail, similarities and motifs from across each game was astonishing. I can’t wait to see to tear apart pony island 2 when it comes out!
you prove again and again to be one of my favorite youtubers on this site, as someone who's been around since the skinamarink video Its been an amazing ride to see your growth as a content creator!
This video series, and the larger Mullins series, have been such a joy to follow you through! I truly appreciate all of the attention to detail and your inquisitive approach to the games and the worlds they contain. These reviews are art unto themselves!!
Me too. I'm heading into emergency eye surgery tomorrow at 7:45: kill me now that's too damn early in the morning. This is my 4th surgery in 4 months for this damnable glaucoma. It's a good thing my little human brain can't retain all the information in these videos in one sitting. I'll have hours of content to listen to while my eye heals.
I’m not typically a commenter. But I think it would be wrong for me to not say your content is fantastic. Cannot wait for the unending season 3 and the inevitable capstone when pony island 2 is released!
I find it kinda funny how you always put so much effort and thought into your skits and then urge people to skip them. I love your videos, especially the skits and since i found your channel through the Whos Lila video last year its become my favorite thing on yt and ive been looking forward to every new release. Thanks for all the entertainment man, hope you have a great easter!
Hey Peacock! I just wanted to say, thank you. It was my birthday on the 20th and ever since I found your channel and listened thru all your videos I have been so hyped for this series! I had to travel up to up to Sacramento (to celebrate my 21st 🎉) which took me 7~ hours there and then another 7 back and I listened to this the whole way. I think it was fantastic. The way you describe your tactics and the games plot had me captivated even though my eyes were fixed firmly on the road (I drove safely!) I’ve read up on the lore of the game and played a bit of it but none of it has been as enlightening as listening to your series not only on this game, but Pony Island and The Hex too. For me, I don’t think you necessarily failed as in, you alone didn’t need to come up with all the answers to the ciphers and the collection of data. You put it into a wonderfully thought out play-through-like condensed story that was amazing to listen through. That is TRULY fantastic. You may be flawed, but who isn’t? Doesn’t mean ya failed. ❤ Much love!
I've loved this series, from Pony Island all the way to here. If it weren't for you I never would have pulled Inscryption out of an unused Steam folder and actually played through the whole thing. That was a great ride, and having these videos to see all the things I missed only made it all even better. With regards to the timeline of the OLD_DATA being used for the Gameworks, there *is* quite a large amount of time the disk existed and was unaccounted for. It was created and shipped out while the USSR was still around, and it wasn't until decades later that Kaycee tested it while making Inscryption. Who was holding onto it all that time? How did GameFuna find out about it and suddenly decide to make a game overtop of it in the late '00s? Perhaps GameFuna had access to this data for some time and used it to develop the Gameworks. Perhaps eventually Lou Natas wanted to take things further, create something more powerful, and so instead of just creating games using a suite based on the OLD_DATA's power he wanted to see what could be done with a game built atop the OLD_DATA itself. Certainly, what Leshy and Poe are able to accomplish within their own game is far beyond anything we see in The Hex, barring the final ritual which requires the player's help. It's quite a floppy theory, but it does help tie together some of the gaps in the history.
This was amazing, and my head has been whirling throughout these videos. It's so satisfying to see a work like this treated as the literary fiction it is and I loved every moment of it. I wish you'd given a little more attention to Kaycee's Mod, though - I didn't get very far into it so was completely lost during that part. Nevertheless, you drew my attention to so many aspects of this game I hadn't noticed and so many connections I didn't make. I feel like my experience of the game is much, much deeper than it was, and I'm grateful that you put this together. I have a few thoughts, if you or other readers will indulge me. Let me lead with my right: I don't think Luke successfully destroyed the code. When he hammers the disk the final time, the mask falls off his desk. The next time we see it, one eye is darkened. Sado has the code now, I think. Why did GameFuna use a floppy? It seems to me that the code was already on a floppy and can't be deleted. Perhaps they felt it was best to leave it there rather than have multiple copies of dangerous, indestructible data. Louis may even be aware that destroying the disk will not destroy the code, only move it. Some motifs and symbols: Self-consumption is also found where the Angler catches fish with smaller fish, bringing to mind the famous vicious cycle illustration. When Luke is giggling hysterically, the lighting drew my attention, and I note the shadow of the scale is positioned such that it resembles a mushroom growing out of his head - or one of Jeremiah's devices. Rebecca is dualistic: She has an androgynous appearance, a female name, and a traditionally masculine profession. She barks like a dog and speaks like a human. In P03's version, she's half-machine. She's also been both a PC and an NPC at times. Random: I think Luke hoping for a transcendog was a clever bit of foreshadowing. He found transcendence and he found dogs. A stretch: When Leshy surrenders, that's an olive branch, not a laurel. This brings to mind Noah's story in Genesis, where a raven and dove went out and the dove returned with an olive leaf a few times. Noah and Leshy both collected beasts, and Leshy is associated with ravens. The dove and raven searched water to find information, like the dredger roles in Inscryption. And of course Noah's story is about an apocalypse - as is Leshy's. Incomplete, perhaps incoherent, thought: DIce are sometimes called "bones." Disks are associated with video games. The woodcarver's totems resemble board game pieces or tabletop miniatures. The mycologists are modders. Leshy loves tabletop RPGs, but also seems associated with the physicality of sports, so it's hard to categorize him. Mag loves puzzles? He's even harder to fit in to that. Inscyrption itself started as a card game and the code of course relates to Karnoffel. In a game about games, It's hard to completely look past this stuff but I can't see any real significance.
We all had a wonderful time and now know much more about the Mullinsverse and the events+themes of Inscryption than we would otherwise ever know. Even if I could get that information from elsewhere, nothing can supplant getting that information from you from, your personality. That doesn't feel like a failure to me. Your channel has been such an amazing experience and I've loved all of your videos. Thank you for all the work and passion you pour into these projects.
I know it’s been said many other times but I want to add my voice to the choir: I love your content, your creativity, your delivery, everything about these explorations is enjoyable, and the way you connect and present your ideas really sticks with me. You’re an inspiration, man. No matter if you are coming to the same conclusion as anyone else or not, it’s about the journey you share with us, and I love that. ❤
1:29:15 I think it's interesting how, while Inscryption could be used to create something seemingly good and fun (the Leshy and P-03 versions of the game), it isn't a completely positive experience for everyone. In Leshy's game, the other Scrybes lose their autonomy and end up as cards to be sacrificed and killed over and over. And when P-03 takes control, while the Scrybes aren't completely taken out of the picture, they can't act freely. It's almost kind of like they're trapped in a surveillance state, free to exist until they stepnoit of line so they have to rely on the Player to act. It almost reminds me of how certain governments behave when they gain power in the real world. Stronger weapons and military means a bigger threat to dissenters, better technology can lead to dystopian surveillance states. One person's paradise could be someone else's living hell. And it also kinda mirrors real world governments getting more power and sliding closer to facism but it's too early in the morning for me to think too much on that.
From Faith to here. This is campaign and adventure has been an absolute triumph. You, sir an undefeated joy f To behold. I appreciate you and c not wait to support you always
The passion and effort you put into your videos is so inspiring. I’ve started catching myself getting floppy with it on my own time with stuff I love. As someone who has been a long time fan of media essays that hold a love of digging deep and theorizing on what it all means, you are incredibly stand out within the space. You’ve got me actually doing this stuff in my daily life and not just vicariously through creators. You’re doing great work.
Even if you may not have added anything to the conversation of Inscryption, you've definitely introduced me and many of us to this conversation and lore. Thank you, Mr. P.
Hmm... P03 (with a large protrusion on the side of his head) for the digitised code. Leshy, of Slavic origin and ignorant of the greater scope of things looking only to enjoy a good game and a full life. Magnificus, a painter and mystic with notable moustache who is willing to brutalise his devoted followers for his own ends, but was prevented from ever using the code... So that just leaves grimora: an older holder of the code who wrote it down in some way for the painter to learn? Or an outwardly friendly nihilist using the deaths of others to shift the code to a new form, finally transcribed from a limited digital form on a floppy disc into a memetic titan enscrybed on the very consciousness of mankind
you're my favourite RUclipsr I can't explain how happy I get when your notifications pop up I was having dinner and got so excited like JESUS I was lucky to be here since the skinamarink video hoping I manage to fix up my pc soon so I can try and make some banger fan art (please make some socials please 😭 floppy discord would be sick.) love u floppy keep up the awesome work
played through the entire game twice managed to unlock everything then got stumped on skullstorm started playing with mods cause more animals=awesome I think I have 115hrs in-game rn
Just finished the video and I just gotta say; whether you felt you added something new or not, you gave me a whole new appreciation for these games as someone who doesn't really like diving into ARGs... but DOES love seeing them all spelled out in one convenient place! Thanks for the great video and excited to see what you do next.
I am always blown away by the amount of passion, time, and effort that you pour into these videos! You've got such a unique style and voice in this space and I wish this channel nothing but success because you absolutely deserve it!!!
36:35 As a native german speaker, using the 'Herr' prefix normally does imply respect for it's recipient, but colloquially can be used to mock someone who views themself as being of greater importance than they actually are and/or to mock someone for falling from a position of power (deservedly or not). Both are applicable to Herr Hitler here.
glad to be here for the finale of the mullinsverse coverage! as a fan of all of his games i'm glad to see what you took from the continuous themes and all the whiteboards :) excited for whatever you do next! though hopefully a well earned break. i also finally got to watching twin peaks because of you! it's be so much fun so far.
I never skip your intro or skits as they are always great. But this is my favourite so far, you honestly have a great voice and that was a truly lovely treat ❤
This isn‘t gonna mean much, but I genuinely believe that you succeeded in exploring the depths of this game. I don‘t even like card games and I not only thoroughly enjoyed every second of every single video and found them very interesting, but I bought the game myself and loved it even more, thanks to your deep dive into the lore of the game. You‘re right, this *should be* too much for one man to cover but you did an excellent job, which, in and of itself, is awe-inspiring and perplexing. Thank you so much for the videos and all the effort and love you put into them.
Another incredible video, and so soon after the previous part! I don't remember if this was ever mentioned, but Barry is Lionel's grandpa. Fun lil tidbit.
@flawpeacock It does make you wonder, did GameFuna seek out Lionel because of his games, or because of his relation to Barry. Now I'm getting floppy with it lmao :]
Loved this series in it's totality. The skits especially! I hope Vyor, the Hermit, Peacock and Fox make a comeback some day in the future. Can't wait to watch more!
The main sticking point for me after going over all the info we know is Barry Reginald Wilkinson. When writing characters in a story one of the key rules is "You don't give characters the same name unless there's a reason for it." Either the characters turn out to be the same person or its some intentional misdirection for the purpose of the narrative. Lionel Snill's grandpa Reggie has no apparent connection to Barry, and I think it would be just plain bad writing if there wasn't any reason they were both named Reginald. I firmly believe they are the same person AND this solves the problem you were having about the sentient characters in GameWorks Studio. Firstly, I ask if we have seen any sentient characters that weren't either Inscryption characters or created by Lionel? Within The Hex the only characters we see are ones created by Lionel and/or his company with the exception of Irving. There are scenes showing characters being threatened with getting sent to other games, but the only one of those games we actually see is yet another Snill creation, Vicious Galaxy. There's actually no evidence of GameWorks making any games other than Lionel's. Obviously absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, but I'm simply positing a possibility that I think fits well with what we know. Assuming this is true, and that Lionel's games are the only ones to be made with sentient characters except Inscryption, we have to ask why? In Kaycee's Mod it's shown that the characters in that disk's copy of Inscryption only broke from their programming after the Angler found a piece of the OLD_DATA. Additionally, the other copies of the game showed no signs of this sentience, only the copy with the OLD_DATA on it. I can't think of this in any other way than evidence that the OLD_DATA is what brought about this sentience. So if the OLD_DATA is what created the sentient characters in one instance, it only makes sense that would be the case in the other. But why would Lionel's computer have the OLD_DATA on it? You may see where I'm going with this but for the sake of spelling it out, Barry Reginald Wilkinson was the spy that recovered the information about Hitler's corpse that the Russians buried. He either copied that info over to a floppy disk, which included the picture of the location, or dug up Hitler's body and recovered the Karnoffel Code himself which he then inscribed onto that floppy disk. Either way, in order to do that he would've had to use a computer to write that data onto the disk. I believe that a piece of the OLD_DATA remained on the hardware he used, retaining some of it's power. Then, after Barry returned home and got to spend some time with his family, he gifted his computer to his grandson Lionel. He later was executed for some undisclosed reason, presumably having to do with this operation which he states "may blow my cover". Either that or he was executed beforehand and his possessions were given to his next of kin and Lionel found his grandpa's old computer which he decided to start using. Either way, Lionel is now using a computer with a fragment of the OLD_DATA on it. He installs a piece of game dev software released by company GameWorks. Whether Lou Natas is already in charge of GameWorks and had some hand in Lionel choosing to use this software, or he came in later because of Lionel is not clear. But now Lionel is running a program on a machine infected with the OLD_DATA and it's bringing all of his characters in his game to life just like what happened with Kaycee's Inscryption disk. On a Side Note: When Lionel boots up the GameWorks software he's greeted by a blue figure who guides him through the utilization and secrets of the program. Sound familiar? Isn't that exactly what the Hopeless Soul was for us the player in Pony Island? A blue figure who guides and curates our experience with this game, working behind the scenes to make sure we best enjoy our time playing it? if Irving is a manifestation, or even a fragment of the Hopeless Soul that could explain how the OLD_DATA is able to create these sentient characters. At the end of Pony Island what if the rest of the souls never actually escaped. It was all a show for the player when, in fact, Hopeless Soul keeps the souls trapped and reuses and reshapes them to BECOME the sentient characters in Inscryption and Lionel's games. I admit this piece of the theory is a little floppier than the first part, but I like the parallels. Also there's definitely a comparison to be made with Pinocchio, a blue fairy giving life to the inanimate, but I feel like that's been said already.
An amazing trip through these 5 videos. While we can always do better in hindsight I feel for one Peacock you did more then most would have in your position. Especially compared to the collective consciousness that seems to be required to really crack open a lot of the mysteries of these games. It was phenomenally well done. I know personally on my play throughs of pony island, the hex, and inscryption I missed so much in regards to the story and secrets. It really helped paint it all in a new light. It just feels so much more complete now. Very good Descryption. In the end thank you for feeding us both with your in depth research and really amazing skits. Look forward to see what wild stuff you come up with in the future.
During the run of the ARG, people were held up at the manatee part, I heard there was an actual floppy disk in Vancouver matching the coordinates that Luke said in one of his videos. And also going to Kaminski’s website during the arg yielded floppy disks sent to the people who ordered them.
What i appreciate about your humor, is that, it only works in ths context of the video. Most of the bits and jokes wouldnt be funny on their own. But your content is so focused and precise (including the sort of narrative commentary sketches) that when you do silly shit like be a pirate i find myself laughing just because of how out of left field it is. Its refreshing! Like a breath of fresh air before we trawl the depths again. Speaks to your ability and charisma man, youre seriously talented and likeable. On a personal note, your perspective of being a "professional lapsed catholic" is very relateable to me as a professional lapsed orthodox christian. I know that really was more relevant in the faith video than the mullins games, but still. Thanks for your art man, it rocks.
Thank you for the support! I have nothing but love for my eastern ortho siblings. Sometimes when I pump the breaks to make time to add a bit, or am thinking whether or not to include a joke I always wonder "Is anybody gonna really enjoy this?" So when I hear that there are some who enjoy those little extra accouterments it really puts the wind in my sails. Thank you for your kind words.
So Peacock is kind of like... the fandom whiteboard?
The Magician represents "ability to cultivate and fulfill potential"
Entry #2 (The High Priestess) - Everything went 3D. The High Priestess represents "secrets, mystery, the future yet unrevealed"
Entry #3 (The Empress) - Kaycee's playing new game and poking around. The Empress represents "fruitfulness, action, initiative; also doubt, ignorance"
Entry #4 (The Emperor) - Kaycee sees Leshy (in a Woodcarver's mask) talking about old_data. Also she found Kaminski's logs. The Emperor represents "authority, establishment, a father figure"
Entry #5 (The Hierophant) - Kaycee's addicted to this version. She's planning to make a mod. The Hierophant represents "alliance, servitude, inspiration"
Entry #6 (The Lovers) - Leshy has got Kaycee Hobbes' ghoul skull in his cabin. Kaycee wants to "hack" getting up the table in game. The Lovers represents "attraction, love, trial overcome"
Entry #7 (The Chariot) - Kaycee discovers "a doomsday machine" after digging a little bit. The Chariot represents "war, vengeance, trouble"
Entry #8 (Strength) - Kaycee leaves her apartment as an exception. She ripes some foil and loses to some guy. Strength represents "action, courage, also success"
Entry #9 (The Hermir) - Kaycee finds out what Leshy did to PO3. She hands this card back to Leshy. The Hermit represents "prudence, circumspection, also treason, corruption"
Entry #10 (Wheel of Fortune) - Kaycee nearly throws out the disk. She's uncertain about nature of KC. Wheel of Fortune represents "element of change"
Entry #11 (Justice) - Kaycee thinks nobody will play this version of game but then she dreams about opposite (which is true 'cause we are playing this mod). Justice represents "equity, rightness, triumph of the deserving side"
Entry #12 (The Hanged Man) - Kaycee buries this disk within a box somewhere. She's planning to burn it. The Hanged Man represents "wisdom, circumspection, intuition, also trials, sacrifice"
Now 13th arkana Death represents "end, mortality, destruction, corruption". These 13 arkanas interpretations coincide with Kaycee's story in this game. Is this valid connection?
valid connection. actually very interesting insight, they match scaringly well
This is an absolutely amazing connection!! I know its been a while but I hope Peacock pins this because its seriously interesting :)
Absolutely love this parrallel, and also fits well with Daniel Mullins' use of tarot cards in both The Hex and Inscryption !!
Dude your singing voice is MAZING! I did not expect that!
For real! What a pleasant suprise!
HEY! We aren't open yet! Come back later!
Just kidding thank you!
YIPPEEEEEEEE
Wow!!!!! Super awesome and clear! ❤❤❤ such good annunciation!
@@jekylledw9375a PHEASANT surprise, if you will…
The reveal that P03 actually succeeded in uploading Inscryption and potentially saved those on the disk makes me almost cry.
I think that’s special too
@@TheRoxster For all his assholishness, he truly is surprisingly noble
Mullins puts solutions in places subconsciously it seems.
That was so funny when I first heard about that part of the ARG, I was like “No shot it was in the roof!”
did you see the other video flemmbons made about the numbers in the floor textures? that solution was so obscure i dont know how anyone was meant to find it naturally lol
It wasn't exactly dumb luck- well I mean it IS, it's just that Mullins likes call-backs and made it so both solutions reference Hopeless Soul's password: 2734. The same numbers also appeared in the Hex apparently
Oh man, I hate it when I come up with an answer to something but I can't figure out exactly how I was supposed to come to that conclusion.
4/4 0 cost Luke is fucking goated lmao
Thanks for cataloging this!!
What if daniel is two into one
"You might wanna skip this" I didn't sub to this channel to ignore these bangers! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, for real! I rewound and watched it a second time just for fun!
I am here for this floppiness!
Never skip! In fact, I rewatch this content again and again
Luke inscribes using his camcorder, and the footage is how we experience the story and the little bits of the code that we have access to
I think they may have actually been made, at least the consciousness that joined with the characters, as the method of passing the code formed.
One could say it was a fire(arm) related injury
JFK got the karnoffel code confirmed?
Kaycee the ghoul was designed before Kaycee the developer died, though she may be a portend of the real Kaycee's fate. But I am 99% certain that the fire at her office was started on purpose, either to try and destroy the Karnoffel Code or to destroy the evidence of someone coming to take it. Kaycee being shot doesn't make sense to me though, since she didn't die immediately at the scene, a gunshot wound would have been noticed. If she did get shot, someone had the power to cover it up. Gamefuna? Kaminsky? The US government themselves?
He's harnessed the power of showtunes; Flaw Peacock is now invincible.
We must have been good, this one came out pretty quick.
I didn't even have a chance to watch the previous one a dozen times yet :O
It isnt Christmas yet... strange
It's me, LittleInkSheep! I'm so happy to have the chance for my art to show up here! Thank you so much :3
Good job
Hey! Great art!!
The floppy disk (flaw peadisk?) timeline makes perfect sense to me: in the logs, it clearly sounds to me like the development of inscryption is something that happened a while ago ("they never told us that"..etc.) I think Kaycee just found one of the old disks they used sitting around the office one day (maybe in Natas's office!) and took it home to mess with for nostalgia... and got a big surprise.
yeah I also thought of "oh its been forever"

Fun fact: the ARG solvers didn't!
Btw you should check out his book "Essais" - I have a hunch you'd both get a kick out of it and really like the content.
I am glad I did NOT skip the intro, thank you very much.
Oh hey, a fellow Tom Lehrer fan in 2024, that's exciting. Good job as always.
Believe it or not the guy described isnt luke but chris chan. The old_data will start the dimensional merge
Thanks for all the floppiness you've given us from Mullins's wild rides.
by drawing atterntion to it in a negative light, it mafde ppl want to see why. Stresiand effect
@@TemmiePlays oh my god you're right
That literally jumpscared me. I thought it'd take at least another month!
We're eating gourmet today.
The sheer and utter joy of hearing your cover of Tom Lehrer, how DARE you tell us to skip to 1:30 and deprive us this burst of dopamine
WHAT, TWO INSCRYPTION VIDEOS IN THE SPAN OF THE WEEK?? THE GOAT IS BACK!!!!
God dammit, Ill get the gun
When you said the finale was coming out soon i had no idea you meant THIS soon. Thanks for the work you put into these videos i love every second
I almost snapped my neck my head turned so fast when I saw the thumbnail out of the corner of my eye!
"Pour out a bottle of rum for the homie" made me laugh out loud. Especially when it was doubled.
Royal: “I’ve got ye a final trick!”
*Proceeds to commit attempted vehicular manslaughter.*
Two videos in a week? You spoil us, Flaw!
It’s been a fun ride watching you tackle Inscryption! I’d love to see you try and take on Disco Elysium sometime, or even just hear your thoughts on it
When the "abeeper" sound played the lights in my house went out. I truly had a cold wee on me pant.
Good job!
CONGRATS ON FINSIHING THE SERIES!!!! now we wait for pony island 2: Panda circus, i cant wait for the UNBEARABLE PAIN!!!!!
Love how you described this as a smaller, shorter sendoff to the ARG and Inscryption as a whole but its still 2 hours long. Never change.
So I’d like to present an interesting pet theory of mine, now nearing the end of the current Mullinsverse journey:
The Karnoffel Code, or perhaps some quirk of being converted to the OLD_DATA, is responsible for Gameworks’ capacity for sapient characters.
Just started watching the last part of this series. I'm 90 seconds in. I've got no words anymore.
Thanks again! I'm glad you're loving it! Its still so surreal to me that its finished!
Love your content dude
1:14:56 I think a reason Gamefuna may use blank floppy disk for playtesters would be to stop leaks from happening online, music artist will use USB and other Alternative methods to make sure certain beats or ideas for songs are stolen or are leaked before perfection/tuning. Kaycee wouldn't think it weird if shes been a game tester her whole life.
for claration, what I mean is the cloud is the most meta and modern way to store music, however they will still use older method's to hide ideas. think of other examples like john wicks whole Black market hitman bounty bored is done through old telephones and computers decommissioned from back in da day
it also goes with a phenomenom with games in the early 2000's being leaked constanly. the most famous version of this is Half-Life 2
This is a good one
BRO IS COOKING!!!
Excuse me, I was not expected to hear you sing BUT OH MY GOD YOU SOUND AMAZING!
This video series, and the larger Mullins series, have been such a joy to follow you through! I truly appreciate all of the attention to detail and your inquisitive approach to the games and the worlds they contain.
These reviews are art unto themselves!!
God. I haven't seen you in a while and you come back with a Tom Lehrer parody. God Damn, I love this channel.
thanks 4 consistently uploading such quality stuff flawp, ur content is rly relaxing and helps me destress in an otherwise very stressful life
I've been having a really rough month, you posting this so soon after part 3 was such a needed surprise.
Stay flawpy y'all.
It's not often I am delightfully suprised by a Tom Lehrer cover. Thank you for being weird❤
Imagine giving Reggie and Jeremiah access to old_data. They would nuke Lionel's entire city just out of spite🤣
One of my all time favourite channels, long form content just scratches the hyper fixation itch in my brain
You, sir an undefeated joy f
To behold.
"I know he's fucked up but that's what's on the inside that counts" I cried
Or an outwardly friendly nihilist using the deaths of others to shift the code to a new form, finally transcribed from a limited digital form on a floppy disc into a memetic titan enscrybed on the very consciousness of mankind
you're my favourite RUclipsr
I can't explain how happy I get when your notifications pop up

Just finished the video and I just gotta say; whether you felt you added something new or not, you gave me a whole new appreciation for these games as someone who doesn't really like diving into ARGs... but DOES love seeing them all spelled out in one convenient place! Thanks for the great video and excited to see what you do next.
I am always blown away by the amount of passion, time, and effort that you pour into these videos! You've got such a unique style and voice in this space and I wish this channel nothing but success because you absolutely deserve it!!!
Thanks for the work you've done for us, man. Please continue
I absolutely, love this channel!
I spend days in my room waiting for a new videos, something about all of this, is worth living
"The old code destroyed b y Luke's hammer and Luke's brain destroyed by Emily's gun" Guns also have hammers, so even more hammers destroying stuff
36:35 As a native german speaker, using the 'Herr' prefix normally does imply respect for it's recipient, but colloquially can be used to mock someone who views themself as being of greater importance than they actually are and/or to mock someone for falling from a position of power (deservedly or not). Both are applicable to Herr Hitler here.
glad to be here for the finale of the mullinsverse coverage! as a fan of all of his games i'm glad to see what you took from the continuous themes and all the whiteboards :)
excited for whatever you do next! though hopefully a well earned break.
i also finally got to watching twin peaks because of you! it's be so much fun so far.
"You might wanna skip this"?? I went back and rewatched!
I never skip your intro or skits as they are always great. But this is my favourite so far, you honestly have a great voice and that was a truly lovely treat ❤
Thank you for this amazing series, I cannot WAIT for what you do next!
I KNEW IT! I thought the idea too floppy to even mention! I believe I mentioned it in my act 2 coverage very briefly....
Yes!!! I’m so glad to see another video from you. You bring new levels of meaning to everything you dive into
My Mom and I unironically love the opening song, and are offended by your implication that we'd be thankful to skip it XD
I can't wait to see what you have in store for the future !!
