I didn't have any problem setting it up. I purchased two 12000-BTU units and both worked for two years only. The code indicated that there was a loss of refrigerant. I contacted midea customer service and they told me that they were covered by one year warranty only. I was going through the owner's manual and it indicated that there was five years warranty on the seals. I contacted midea again and they gave me no satisfaction at all. So I didn't have any choice but to throw both in the garbage at a $1000.00 loss.

Thanks for your comment! That's strange - my manual says there's only a 1-year warranty. Also, I'm surprised by the price you mentioned. I bought mine for less than $500, so it sounds like there might have been some confusion or price difference. Either way, it's definitely frustrating when things don't last as expected
