Did not want to hear the COVID 19 news tonight, so I cranked up the music in my earphones and it blessed the socks off me. Funny, I am more a 1990s gospel music type of 73-year old, but hearing these oldies from my past was just what the doctor ordered.
These are the hymns I grew up with. They do what they're meant to. They give God the glory. It's sad to see so called worship leaders making exhibitionists of themselves and drawing the attention to themselves when it's supposed to be all about Him!!!
The gift of all music is given to members of the Body of Christ is given to Worship and praise to God and when we get together regardless of Denominations or gifted voices we please Christ Jesus this is the way He is worshipped and glorified. When l hear this group I get a thrill of the image of the return of Christ at the Rapture when the Church is looking forward to See and Be in the Physical Awesome Presence of our LORD JESUS CHRIST
I am from West West Edmonton Alberta Canada. I am so glad that we have these songs. I Nancy Friesen hope that I can work with you to lift up our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's name and give glory to our Lord God our King.

Of course it is a gift to our Saviour , a blessing and I know you you intend it that way . May or Lord bless you and your family and team . Thank you and my blessing to you all
Take me back when I was younger and I really miss this music. It really makes me feel so good thesesongs are branded in my memory you don't need a hymnal.
Grew up 50's-60's still the very best way to PRAISE THE NAME OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR!! The colour light, smoke, rock concert, coffee drinking while the Word is preached, can not begin to compare to the real BLESSED ANNOINTED PRAISE SONGS. HALLELUJAH 🙌
The entertainment church of today has diminished the gospel message. The True Gospel needs no aid it is everything we need. I wish I could find a church like this, even a tiny one. Seems they all entertain or have gone woke. Realizing I am ever so thankful for Internet which allows me to see and hear things like this! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Absolutely correct! I was born into pentecostal Christianity. The church I grew up in was nothing like the pentecostal church of now. I've turned my back on that circus. I pray that they will find their way back to true faith, back to preaching the true gospel and singing true worship hymns like these with the true joy of God in their hearts! Blessed be the base of the Lord!!!!!
@@wilmajansevanrensburg6568 Thankyou. God bless you. It's sad when a pastor tells the congregation to stand and pray then complains that he can't hear them pray! They are praying to God not him! That was a defining moment in my decision to leave the pentecostal church!!!!
Sure miss hearing the hymns in church. Praise and worship is nice, but they need to mix these hymns in to teach the children and teenagers. I depend on these hymns to get me through when I have gone through test and major surgeries. I will sing them during test, especially MRI's and before I had my bypass surgery. They are a comfort in times of need and trouble. They are also a praise in times of joy and worship. I learned these from the time I was a child and singing them now reminded me of times back when I was a teenager. I could hear exactly how my grandma sounded singing Blessed Assurance. I would love to come and sing along with ya at one of these when ya get close to West Virginia.
Valerie, me too - I mentally sing the hymns as I lay in the MRI machine for my regular scanning to check for brain tumor recurrence....and the Radiation treatments when they do find them. Such a way of affirming and reminding myself that Jesus is with me.
@@joycehaase2577I will be praying for you about your tumor recurrences. I was with my grandmother and dad as they both went through radiation treatments for cancer. My grandmother did fine with them with her breast cancer but they made my daddy very sick with his pancreatic cancer. He told them after several treatments he no longer wanted them. Come to find out it was the pain medication making him sick and not the radiation. Dad said he still didn't want anymore. He lived 7 months and the doctor only gave him 3 weeks. He was amazing and only very sick the last couple weeks of his life. He was amazing. Boy did he love the Gaither Homecoming Video's. That was the only thing he ever made my mom go and get a money order for and send off to get through the mail. The very first one with the first set. I was a senior in high school.
STOP LOOK & LISTEN I have over hundreds & hundreds of cd's & dvd's, but this one ranks at the very top. Whatever you do order this DVD. This DVD will bless your soul. There is nothing like the Hymns. May God bless you Gerald Wolfe.
Wow! Love this! Just love it! Imagine the sounds of the multitudes in heaven when we are finally home. I think that may be my new favorite Amazing Grace. All of this is just wonderful! Thank you!
I know ALL of these most Beautifull Songs. I truly have Heard & Learned these from my Church since I was Born...Not just these, but many more. I thought that we had lost these songs to our next Generation. I'm thrilled to the point of Tears, Hearing that you are Singing them and that this Generation will hear them. When they have heard them, I'm sure that they will want more, ...I Pray that they search the Internet For these Songs that have thought me so much, I grew up on. I'm only 50 Years Old, but it is scary to think that these Songs will be lost by our Future generations. It is so important that these Hymns will carry on through our (children) and the next Generation! PLEASE CONTINUE TO SHARE THESE SONGS! My Grandmother and Mother taught me ALL of these songs in Church, and these songs have helped Me SO MUCH THROUGH MY LIFE! It really is a shame, to think that they will miss out on these Prayer/Praise songs. MOST OF THESE SONGS ARE FROM THE BIBLE, So we do not have to Guess, Because all in God's word is True. We don't have to think if we are right, it is simple...All of these songs come directly from the Bible, so if we are Believers in Jesus & If we believe in the BIBLE' ACCORDING TO IT'S ( EVERY ) WORD OR NOT, is up to YOU & ME. Jesus came down and DIED FOR US,. While you were reading the above, you are maybe thinking all sorts of things...I'm only Quoting the Bible....So, if you would like to Chat about More, I will always be here for you!
It's up to the congregation of any church to get together & insist on the hymnal. The screens just give a job to someone who can't sing. Vote out the screens & the music director. It's up to you.
With all this confusions n pandemic in all the world around us, this is just the remedy that we need in a chaos time that we live in now. Its cheers up the hearts n give hope to a broken world. Yes Jesus is the answer to the world. Come Lord Jesus come. 🤒💝.
I really enjoy watching things like this, and I feel blessed, encouraged, and challenged every time I do. I've got to be honest with you though; I almost feel cheated, because I've never been to anything like this. I am thinking about suggesting this to my pastor, that we do something like this in the community, maybe on the church parking lot, or somewhere. I have to apologize to you who have been given a higher platform in Christian music, because I feel as if I should have been doing this all my life as well -- instead of playing polkas at wedding receptions, or festivals, and such. I want to give my later years to playing, singing, and ministering the Gospel to others.
Doug Williams maybe you can and go play for the old folks or if there are old people in your steeet ? I remember the salvos would set up st the bottom of our street and play hymns every few weeks on a Saturday.
Doug Williams I’ve been to a few of these in my youth. But you’re right. You have missed great experiences. The Gaithers Homecoming DVD’s bring a lot of enjoyment. You can tell the enjoyment they’re having in praising God.
@jerry Hubbard....not a God soul knows them. It HURTS me to the core when I am there listening to one line of nothing being repeated 3 million times. God will you send some STRONG help from heaven to stop it?.....plzzzzz. 🙏
I also had cancer. Breast cancer. I had to go through chemo and radiation. I pray that God will heal you completely. May God bless you. Love. Adele Fouche Jeffreysbaai South Africa.
It's sad that I have to go to RUclips to hear this beautifully anointed music and not a local church. The churches 'round where I live are into playing the newer Christian music that has a rock concert feel, and to me, that's not my style of worship.
Anavay this is your opportunity to drop the thot (seed) in someone's ear and pray, it will germinate and before you realise it they will be singing these songs. We'll be praying as well.
I'm 77 to and my youngest son and my oldest child, a daughter brought me to your concert a few weeks ago. I think in Cumberland Tennessee. I'm 77 yo and my children know my love old time singing. My husband, their father haa been ill since COVID and they took me to your concert to give me hope! It worked; I'm so inspired! Y'all are great! Thanks!
Churches now days have lost these beautiful hymns they have such a message that young people need to hear today so much (as we older folks too) there is room for the chorus as well as the Hymns.
Totally agree. What a friend we have in jesus. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus. .. jesus , the very thought of thee, with sweetness fills my breast.. leaning on Jesus and so so.many more. Solid food
This is the music I have loved all my life. There ain't gonna be no singing off the wall in Heaven. You had better know the music before you get there! This music is Choir practice for Heaven.
Hey Glenn, Haven't you left the show.wondered where you went.watched you every day.Sure good you like great music also.We will listen to it in Heaven one sweet day.
When I am down and not sure what to do, I go to the piano and play so many of these and enjoy a time of just praising Him. These old songs are filled with the Holy Spirit and the ones that wrote them were just receiving a word from our Heavenly Father. Thank you for such an upbeat spirit. I love it. I would have probably been filled to the brim and maybe helped you shout some if I had been there and I am a Southern Baptist. We don't normally shout much. But its the type of songs that would make a person. It's hard to hold back tears of joy as I listen. Blessings for sure. God is good.
im excited cause im going to be a piano player for my church and trying to get it approved to do hymn sings and im excited but has to be voted on by the congregation on which day im excited!
Brought me to tears many times remembering singing these wonderful hymns growing up in church. I surely miss these songs and the great services we had back then in the little white church on the hill. The modern church has certainly gone astray since dropping these great hymns. Most songs sung today could be mistaken for love songs and many church services are no more than a concert with a motivational speaker.
New songs: empty songs for empty people: they love to sing a name but will not say it, Jesus name is not beautiful to the ignorant, "oh how beautiful it is to the redeemed".
We've taken the Lamb, the blood and God in general out of a lot of the new music. I love these oldies but absolute goodies. We need to be reminded of the Lamb and his precious blood that redeems us and washes us whiter than snow to allow us to go boldly to God the Father with our petitions. Halleujuh!
Amen and Amen!! 🙏 he may come today or before I finish this reply! Hallelujah!! God is so good!! 😊 I love ❤️ him with all my heart! Jesus saves,… Jesus saves!! God bless you and keep you !! He’s the best thing since sliced bread!!!
How we long for these songs in church again 😢 how our children and grandchildren are cheated. God help us. These wonderful hymns were enspired by the Holy Spirit. Thank you for this wonderful video. God bless you ❤️✝️
If you happened across a church in my area that sing these wonderful hymns you can be sure the congregation would be made up of people have grey hair or were bald.
@@pgn33 very true, but oh how the Holy Spirit would move through these anointed songs and people would give their heart to the lord. So many people have left our church because everything has changed and the gospel is not being preached. I know it is not just here,so we need to pray for revival . Thanks for the comment. Gods people need to pray.🙏🏻🥰❤️
I weep for the loss of these beautiful Spirit inspired hymns. Just today I paged through a hymn book from my childhood with a lump in my throat and an ache in my heart. Such beautiful memories. Thank you for the walk down memory lane.
Wow !!!! So sad that these hymns are not sung in so many churches anymore. These hymns are what I was raised on , from my earliest years in church. Thanks so much for posting on and making a You Tube page dedicated to the true hymns that speak to all of our hearts and from our hearts in Praise To The One That Has Truly Set Us Free
Gerald Wolfe, I thank God for you every time, practically, that I listen to your sing hymns. I wish you and your singers could be at our Sunday morning service every Sunday. Love to you and yours
Southern Baptist church, singing in the choir. I wish today’s churches would return to this music. The songs in today’s church services do not compare with these. You can feel God’s presence in these old hymns. ❤️🙏❤️🙏
Brenda Eldada agree. I would sing in the choir, then on the Praise Team while the church would go through a huge transformation. After the new Pastorcame in, he decided that the Hymns were no longer needed as the Congregation only wanted the new music. I stepped down due to chronic illness. There were younger people who knew the new songs. It has been three years now, and I have not been able to sing due to a compound of chronic illnesses. But, some day, we will be singing in God’s Choir praising Him night and day.
we miss the Choirs and the Hymn singing leaders..we have a performing group every Sunday so loud you can hardly hear the congregational voices. Well soon those of us who are ready to graduate will sing these praises to our Saviour. Hallelujah !!!
WONDERFUL!!! Wish we could have more of these in every church. Can't find a church that sings hymns anymore. I'm almost 61 and grew up with a love to sing. Twicd on Sunday and Wednesday evening I could go to church always confident that I would know all the songs sung. Now I go to church and sometimes they sings 6 Praise and Worship songs that I've never heard before. How can I lift my voice as if lifting off the roof...when I don't know the songs. I sure feel closer to the Lord, singing along with you. Thank you so much.
We sing only these kind of songs at our church. First Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana. It is similar to the one in this video. Great church pastored by John Wilkerson.
I am 61, I grew up with these songs, I know all of the words without needing the hymnal. I miss it, when I go to church and don't know any words to any songs. I played the piano for church services 20+ years.
I play this style at the United Methodist Church where I am the pianist. I attended the Pentecostal Holiness church for 40 years so I have brought my background in gospel music to the church I am serving in now.
Faultless to stand before the Throne! Wow! I get goosebumps contemplating this but praise God for His grace through the Blood of my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ Who gives me such a standing!!!
This is real praise music, not the shallow, mindless, loud repetitive songs of today.
This music is so enjoyable, thank you!

Did not want to hear the COVID 19 news tonight, so I cranked up the music in my earphones and it blessed the socks off me. Funny, I am more a 1990s gospel music type of 73-year old, but hearing these oldies from my past was just what the doctor ordered.
I'm 76yo and blessed with the most loving mother who loved Jesus! These bring me home!
Sounds like church, when I was a kid. I'm 75 and still enjoy those old songs , that were in the Baptist hymnal!
I’m almost 63 and this reminds me of being 5 or 6 years old and going to church with my granddad in E Tn mountains. The way church should be !!!
@@rustycostner186 Amen ! I was born in LaFollette, Tn.
I am 74 and love these old songs. They can't fail to cheer you up.
@@VHDUPLOYEN 👍
I’m 71 and I also remember these precious old hymns as sung in my youth. Thank you for the memories.
These are the hymns I grew up with. They do what they're meant to. They give God the glory. It's sad to see so called worship leaders making exhibitionists of themselves and drawing the attention to themselves when it's supposed to be all about Him!!!
No modern worship music can rival the doctrinal truth in the timeless hymns of old, to God be the glory in Jesus Christ's name, amen.
I am Lutheran and this music gives me such uplifting joy . Thank you God bless.
Great! We need to keep the hymns alive in our church's
Gerald , I must tell you an old man from Australia appreciates the enormous amount of work you do . A wonderful ministry that is a blessing to some many folk like me . Of course it is a gift to our Saviour , a blessing and I know you you intend it that way . May or Lord bless you and your family and team . Thank you and my blessing to you all
going to see them in Temple TX this Sunday, we are excited....

If churches want to get more people involved, they should start weekly hymn sings.
I am a Catholic, I love this pure music and harmony it makes me feel closer to Jesus. Love this very much... thank you for posting..

Take me back when I was younger and I really miss this music. It really makes me feel so good thesesongs are branded in my memory you don't need a hymnal.
Loved this music and I MISS this music. There's nothing like the old hymns to touch the depths of our souls !
@@salinwa7105 AMEN to your reply, @Salinwa. Thanks for RUclips where I can listen and sing the real songs of Glorifying our LORD and SAVIOUR !

Still listening in 2024!
I agree with everything 💯 percent. I'm 80 years old and this music 🎶 is what I grew up on in the 40 and 50s

You should go to a church that sings them still! My church only sings hymns, no contemporary/modern music. #baptist
I couldn’t agree more!!
My church sings both hymns and contemporary choruses. I love them all. Worship comes from my heart, not necessarily from a hymnal or a RUclips video.
Sooo awesome! This is the way it should be! I grew up in the Assembly of God Church!

Nothing but Angels have already
Descended on Earth Proclaiming
That JESUS CHRIST is coming

It's sad that I have to go to RUclips to hear this beautifully anointed music and not a local church. The churches 'round where I live are into playing the newer Christian music that has a rock concert feel, and to me, that's not my style of worship.
i agree with you completely! I cannot get into a worshipful frame of mind when the music sounds like "Guns 'n' Roses".
Amen! Anavay Taffe. I thank God that my very conservative Presbyterian church still uses the hymnbook. Rock concert in my church-- Never!
Anavay this is your opportunity to drop the thot (seed) in someone's ear and pray, it will germinate and before you realise it they will be singing these songs. We'll be praying as well.
From a positive point it’s wonderful to have the choice to be able to fellowship with like minded people all over the world.

Amen brother!

Love these beautiful old hymns.....so uplifting to hear so many voices praising our wonderful God.......
lovely and uplifting hymns, i stick with hymns now and forever
Brought me to tears many times remembering singing these wonderful hymns growing up in church. I surely miss these songs and the great services we had back then in the little white church on the hill. The modern church has certainly gone astray since dropping these great hymns. Most songs sung today could be mistaken for love songs and many church services are no more than a concert with a motivational speaker.
New songs: empty songs for empty people: they love to sing a name but will not say it, Jesus name is not beautiful to the ignorant, "oh how beautiful it is to the redeemed".
Jesus is with me when I sing the song.Praise the lord
I love hymn sings! There is not enough hymn singing in church anymore. Thank you!

Stan & Gerald are rarities. You don't fine a a good team like this very often.
This is the singing/worshipping/praising that is missing in so many of today's churches, and sadly in so many "Christian" homes!
We've taken the Lamb, the blood and God in general out of a lot of the new music. I love these oldies but absolute goodies. We need to be reminded of the Lamb and his precious blood that redeems us and washes us whiter than snow to allow us to go boldly to God the Father with our petitions. Halleujuh!

Southern Baptist church, singing in the choir. I wish today’s churches would return to this music. The songs in today’s church services do not compare with these. You can feel God’s presence in these old hymns. ❤️🙏❤️🙏
Gods people singing! A taste of heaven. Wonderful!

How are you doing ?
WONDERFUL!!! Wish we could have more of these in every church. Can't find a church that sings hymns anymore. I'm almost 61 and grew up with a love to sing. Twicd on Sunday and Wednesday evening I could go to church always confident that I would know all the songs sung. Now I go to church and sometimes they sings 6 Praise and Worship songs that I've never heard before. How can I lift my voice as if lifting off the roof...when I don't know the songs. I sure feel closer to the Lord, singing along with you. Thank you so much.
Sharon Frost I understand what you mean. I also whish the churches sing these traditional hymns full of message.
I know exactly what you mean. They have thrown songs like this in the trash in most churches.
We sing only these kind of songs at our church. First Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana. It is similar to the one in this video. Great church pastored by John Wilkerson.

I play this style at the United Methodist Church where I am the pianist. I attended the Pentecostal Holiness church for 40 years so I have brought my background in gospel music to the church I am serving in now.
