on one end of the playfield you got a serious looking al pacino, on the other end the biggest toy on the playfield, resembling the comical boxer from champion pub released 25 years ago.
You are exactly right! Looks like it came directly from the Warren Beatty movie.. I have been trying to nail down what it reminded me of and once I saw your comment it clicked!
I agree that the mobster tone is different but maybe that’s the point. If it was a more “accurate” sculpture would it come off as too violent? Almost need a bit of levity for a fun pinball game based on the mob.
I don't like that theme but pin looks like a work of art. Great Godfather preview 👍 Toys 10/10 Shots 9/10 Art 10/10 Code ?? Sounds 10/10 Theme 6/10 Lights 9/10 Value (price) 6/10
Funds are tight right now, but I wish that I could have found a way to warrant ordering a CE. This machine looks so damn good. No surprise that the rest of the CE allocation disappeared pretty quickly after your guys reveal video.
could not agree more about the cheap looking gangster next to the Brando sculpture...its really an eye sore... I could listen you guys talk about pinball for hours...thank you for an excellent overview
The game looks fantastic , but the reason it looks expensive is because it frikking is !! I mean 18k euro for the CE , that's almost double from prices pre-corona ... not for regular working class people like me im afraid 😞
Can't wait for your detailed review of this game guys. Keep on the awesome work. You didn't post much often but there is no filler there, always high quality content worthy of our time.
Played the limited edition about 20 times a few days ago. It looks nice, and has interesting gameplay with the choice of families and shots. Sculpts are a little too cartoonish for the theme. All that being said, I've yet to play a Jersey Jack pinball that I want to play enough to own it, with the exception of Toy Story, but that is stupid money. Unless you have money to blow, I'd rather spend my money to own the Cactus Canyon remake.
Love that this game went from the rumor stage as being maybe the worst theme ever to actually seeing the game and it possibly (way too early I know) could be the game of the year. Regardless of "awards" or whatever, well done JJP: this game looks fun and amazing.
Fans of the movie who have absolutely no interest in pinball will buy this. That’s why Jersey Jack paid for the intellectual property and produced this table. 🎯
The limited is 12k and you dont even get side art blades or different color legs, etc. Wish they would of learned from TS4 and lowered the price so more people feel more comfortable.
First Impression: still a B+ hahah it looks cool. Glad it's getting some hype after everyone poo-poo'd TS4 (which I think is a *FANTASTIC* game - to play in my friend's basement!)
It's a beautiful game, Franci absolutely killed it. Can't wait to play it.. I ser that Greg has gotten ALL of his JP games now...one question where is his Lethal Weapon 3?! 😅
If you don't think this game looks awesome check your pulse. When you look at the price tags, check your pulse. As I stated before JJ will sell these. To whom I have no idea. Given that I've not seen a JJ pin in the wild speaks to their pricing and marketing. I guess they are okay selling just enough to stay afloat. Don't know. Educate me.
I imagine it’s like any premium product for a select market. Like exotic car brands.. how often do you see them in the wild? Or super expensive clothes or accessories. But they exist and the companies do fine. There’s enough demand from enough serious people that JJ can get away with charging the premiums they do. They may not sell as many as stern, but they may gross more per machine.
@@mootsym I appreciate your response. If JJ's market strategy is to sell to Mr. Deep-Pockets then it's completely irrelevant to me. Since operators aren't snapping these up in mass (some will, most won't) JJ pins equate to machines that sit in collections that only appear on FB showing us how awesome their collection is. Likely with just 800 plays on them after 10 years. I'm generalizing, but I don't see how this helps the overall hobby. Just call me salty I guess. All the best to JJ and those that can afford them or have the opportunity to play one.
With all that bright red, makes you wonder if they really wanted Scarface or Goodfellas to be the theme. This doesn't feel like Godfather, but if the game is rockin, I will let go of this awkward integration pretty fast.
We do have a Scooby in the can!!! That should be edited soon. We have just been to busy between work, awards show, the Godfather featurette, and a few other projects! But it is coming!!!!
The cartoonish mobster is very out of place, almost like the cheesy Dracula toy in BSD (almost). It's a matter of consistent tone, you either go all caricatures, or no caricature.
I’ve so missed you guys posting videos. Keep up the good fight. You both rock.
Damn man thanks!
on one end of the playfield you got a serious looking al pacino, on the other end the biggest toy on the playfield, resembling the comical boxer from champion pub released 25 years ago.
THANK YOU! The mobster caricature stands out like a sore thumb against the Brando sculpt! It also appears to be a slightly different scale of figure.
ya i played this last week and the guy looks like dick tracy reject fo sho.
The art is just gorgeous! The mobster actually reminds me of Dick Tracy.
You are exactly right! Looks like it came directly from the Warren Beatty movie.. I have been trying to nail down what it reminded me of and once I saw your comment it clicked!
It’s great stuff for sure

“I believe in America. America has made my fortune.”🌹
I'm so glad Greg brought up the cartoonish mobster sculpt! For me it's like a big scratch on a Ferrari. I wince every time I see it.
The guitar solo at the start is amazing!
“How much guitar solo do you want?”
JJP: “YES!!”
Slash playing the guitar. Nice 👍
This theme resonates. The flow looks amazing!
Thanks guys. Terrific video
Wow thank YOU for the continued love for SDTM

This absolutely looks like a work of art, and insanely fun to play.
It’s a shooter for sure. Can’t wait until you play one!
@@SDTM see you guys at TPF. 😃🐶👍🏻
The prices here in Australia have got up again from TS4 😢
LE - $19,700
CE - $25,500
🤯
Yep and who can afford that in these times. 🙄
@@jaysonwalsh8338 exactly!🤦🏻♂️😢 it has got crazy.

They mini deadpooled it with that goofy mould up the middle.
Spot on, great first impressions video!

Greg's Brando is more Dr. Evil! Im with ya on Pacino.
Hahahaha

Gregg- nice segway from knockers to Linda
PFFT Linda is a saint!

I can’t wait to play this spectacular themed pinball machine!Jersey Jack looks like he has manufactured a great game.
I think the machine gun toy guy looks pretty random but otherwise very cool looking pin
Slash has been doing the theme from Godfather since use your illusion days. Nice nod to this pin from the past.(Guns JJP pin)
This video should include the paid promotion label
Let’s be honest. They only chose to use godfather because they could get slash involved with it somehow

I'm still waiting inside art blade for TS4.
12k for a standard aka LE is a markup in my Book. 👏 👏 👏
I have a deposit in on the CE.
Any insights on playfield durability and protection? Thinking about the GnR posts.
Wow lucky dude, those things sold like hot cakes. It will be a timeless piece for any house it goes in. Definetly the pin of the year.
Show CGC MMR Royal please.

Right?! We love some TS4 as well
THIS OR THAT momento : WONKA or GODFATHER ?
New video!!!
This game is dope!! I had zero interest in the theme, never seen the movies, never will...Don't care, I'm getting one

Ha ha it now sits next to Halloween! It’s still not going anywhere!!! (Greg)
@SDTM Just saw it had moved and had to ask... My LW3 is still in the corner of my games room too! 😆 🤣

Come to New Jersey. We have JJP pins at the bowling alley!
@@thirteen2k I go to Silverball in Asbury Park a couple of times/year. They have all the JJP games. Such a beautiful place.

I have it at my arcade. It is pretty fun, lots of shots. Reminds me of Godzilla a bit.
You’ll have to let us know how it does

don’t care about ur opinion. Lol the toys look great. And the knockers for when he shoots tommy gun are sick. Ur just a hater
More Johnny Dangerously than The Godfather
Nice original jp ; )
Some games draw you back to play again. This one didn’t do it for me.
Game isn’t even selling at all.
The theme is too modern for pinball fans. Why not a Charlie Chaplin era theme for the average buying age?
I could get behind that

What are the translite's pronouns?
Just played it, sounds are god awful
