I’ve been working with hydraulics for the past 3 months, and I found a truck with a lift gate for sale, and the lift gate leaks when it is in operation…seeing this just motivates me to buy it and fix it. I primarily need the lift gate to load my motorcycles up.
So here's my story. I'm dealing with a headache myself. I got a lot more of them. $40 bucks aye.. I guess I have that to look forward to. Damn.. I got like 11 or 12 to fix. Dry rotted. Wrecker bed. Just built. Almost finished. Well I think.. Boom = Up down. In and out. 2 Winches. Wheel Lift = Up down In and out.
@@thetransporterboss thanks for responding didn't expect that. Have a mini digger out here and the hose burst on the end hoping it can be recrimped. No sure how to bleed it tho.
This video just saved me a few hundred, thanks my guy
Thanks I was able to fix my lift gate myself while saving hundreds
A sharp screw inside my truck's TommyGate rubbed aginst the hydraulic hose and severed it eventually and leaked all over the place!

If it’s just a hose, it won’t be that expensive either. Couple of wrenches and some refilling of the reservoir and done. Good luck!
Thanks for video and sharing these repair tips.
Why the music!

My hydraulic line for my eclipse is leaking by the passenger side trunk
WHere do you go to get replacement hose
just google your nearest hydraulics shop.
It's pin whole by the clasp and an inch lower
I had this happen to my front end loader this morning at -20F
Damn sorry to hear that.
So just get a replacement house and fill the tank to the correct level?
Do you need to bleed the lines like a car?
Yes get a replacement and definitely bleed the air out. And yep top up to correct level.
