I agree. I'm going to Rome in May 2023. I'm staying only a few city blocks from Termini. With the info from this wonderful YT, I'm going to write out exact instructions for my daytrips; line color, end station name, and destination station name. Then reverse it to eliminate any confusion.
Me too - well done to just go - so many people don’t go places when faced with going alone. I am determined not to be one of them now my husband is gone. Have a good time fellow traveller.
What you didn’t mention and is very important. Some stations have different entrances for traveling in opposite directions. Just knowing which station your are going to isn’t enough. One entrance can be on the other side of the road. Getting across the road, good luck. So give yourself plenty of time to find a way across and the entrance itself.
Watch for pickpockets on the trains. They operate in pairs. One to distract you by talking loudly to you or asking questions while the other tries to rob you. I had two attempts in May this year.
Your channel has been SO helpful in planning our Italy trip! Sitting in the terminal now waiting to take off! Traveling from Naples to Rome, Tuscany, Venice, then finishing in Lake Como. I feel so much more confident having the knowledge you two have shared! Thank you!
