Andrea, I agree with you! My kids always tell me, enjoy the moment; they hate taking pics and so do I. I want to savor each and every site especially the scenic views: both my daughter and I love scenic views and good food more than anything else!
Seconding the importance of planning and making reservations! I'm a seasoned traveler and on my first trip to Rome a couple of years ago, I made a reservation at the only museum I wanted to visit, a couple of market tours, and one nice restaurant for a lunch, expecting that I would be able to wing it the rest of the time -- but there's such an extensive tourism infrastructure in major Italian cities that it became overwhelming to just find a nice spot for a meal that wasn't catering exclusively to foreigners. I'll say I did fine for sightseeing on my wanderings (probably because I felt like I could see the Coliseum just fine from the outside!) and felt like I got to look at everything I wanted to. I ended up finding some good places to eat, and squeezing in at Roscoli on my final day, but had my share of mediocre meals as well, and when I'm back next year I'm definitely making more restaurant reservations a few weeks out.
I enjoy your videos! I have a question you might be able to help with. While everyone is eager for attend pasta and pizza classes, my passion lies in desserts and meats. Do you know of any places in Florence offering cooking classes for making cannolis and other delightful sweets, or perhaps a grill master class to perfect meat cooking ? We'll be in Florence for about a week and would love to take a course, but haven't had any luck finding one.
Hi guys , enjoy your videos very much , very informative , Mean time I would like to ask , is it a good time to visit Rome/Venice/Florence in December month . I am planing for a trip to italy this coming mid December . Hope to hear from you soon . thanks in advance

Unfortunately most of the classes are about pasta making. We'll do some research and let you know if we find something about meat
