  • In this video I show how to turn a non-rechargeable 1.5V battery into a rechargeable lithium battery at home and charge it with an adapter or USB Port it is amazing that I charge my mouse battery by the laptop and use it again.
To make this rechargeable battery, we use a 3.7-volt lithium battery and bring it to 1.5 volts using a reducing regulator.
To charge the 3.7V battery, we use the charging module, but due to its inappropriate size, we have to remove it from the board and change it to smaller dimensions.
At the end by using typical USB connector made it suitable to connect to Lab top USB port and any USB adaptor. if you like, you can use a type C connector for your device compatibility.

You should include some USB storage capacity as well.. so you can reinstall your windows from your mouse battery if needed :D

Very impressive to fit the entire charging module on the side of the usb port. Did you use the original 1.1k resistor that sets the charging current to 1A? That small lipo cell should only be charged with 200 mA so you should have used around 7k resistor

  • @gmarracchi

What is the point of all that work to get a 200mAh when we can easily buy a 1350 mAh or more and recharge it with a cheap charger?

How do you use cover of USB port as polar side of battery when you covered? Does it touches the USB port itself?

how's positive (+) polarity of the battery connect when used as a normal battery? coz i didn't see any wire?

thanks for your comment, In this type of battery, the negative terminal is connected to the overall body of the battery, while the positive terminal is isolated. We transfer the negative charge to the bottom of the battery using a wire, and we connect the positive charge to the body using a spring. When you place the cut part back in its place, the positive charge enters your circuits.

nice, don't pay much attention to the negative posts. so many people are so afraid to do anything , but like to criticize those of us who do things. I've learned to ignore them. I like this battery idea. I need 12 volt though

All the item descriptions you need are on the video, if you cannot find them, then I would not suggest you unsolder and resolder a TP4046 circuit...
