@@shayla106 Yeah but I think one thing people don’t consider is mental health or financial situation. Some people who have struggled with depression have talked about how it’s hard to even get up in the morning, let alone take a shower. It’s not that they don’t care but sometimes it’s a struggle. Not only that but some people don’t have access to basic hygienic products. Stuff isn’t free, basic necessities to take care of yourself aren’t free so being able to take showers and practice good hygiene is in a way a privilege.

Instead, she keeps saying to her that she’s beautiful just the way she is and guys are idiots for not seeing this. It’s her ego that don’t want to make her friend her potential threat to her hotness, in fact she enjoys all the attention form the guys. That’s why.

This movie doesn't even get it's cliches right, normally what these "ugly duckling" movies try to show is that internal beauty is just as important (if not more than) as external beauty. But in this movie, Paris was a nice girl, she cared about her friend, didn't bully anyone and was mostly sweet. This movie really missed the mark on it's premise.

well realistically, many attractive people are nice and some less-attractive can be unpleasant. so many people act like you can only be one or the other when that's not how it works, so seeing screenwriters not give into overdone cliches isn't a bad thing imo, especially since media can fuel mindsets.
that said, the movie's trash and I don't think it was purposefully going for that realistic representation, especially since everything else about it is cliched and bad; I'm guessing Paris didn't want to play an unflattering character and they wanted her name on the film. she's actually not as vapid and is kind of charming outside of her persona, but it kind of seemed like a "well meaning" vanity project for her.

The whole reunion fantasy is strange to me. Talking to people I knew anywhere between elementary-highschool is so awkward. People grow, and aside from having a teacher in common that’s not enough to rekindle friendships years later. I know nothing about them know. They might as well be strangers.
Also if they do remember me, that ends the conversation real quick
