    As a kid i never realized that the actors just had to pretend to be the other person when they had their soul switched and I thought they just user skin suits and makeup. I was placed in the gifted program btw.

    Another fun fact. Matthew lillard couldn't do the voice naturally at first. So he showed up an hour before audition and screamed in his car at the top of his lungs until he broke his voice.

    I looked up what hydroclonic meant and Google auto corrected it to hydrochronic, which is a specific type of hydroponically grown potent weed. The word that Shaggy said to avoid was Hydrocolonic, which is a colon cleaning. From this we can determine that shaggy learned to avoid the word hydrocolonic the hard way because he thought he was signing up for some weed. Whoever wrote that joke deserves every award possible.

    The joke with Pamela is that Scooby Doo used to have random celebrity crossovers that literally never made sense. Most of the time they would just show up and say a thing and then *poof* for the rest of the episode.

    I’m still upset that Spooky Island isn’t a real place! I remember begging my parents to take me and then my dad had to break it to me that it wasn’t real. I will never forgive Universal! 😭

      If you want to know, it was filmed on Tangalooma / Moreton Island. The rest was filmed in Queensland. Even Movie World made a ride that replicated the spooky castle ride (that actually opened before the movie released globally) called Scooby Doo: Spooky Coaster. It was since been updated with some shit cgi.

In order for them to hide among regular people, I set this story in a theme park on an island somewhere in the middle of the devils triangle

      People identified the show being worse whith scrappy, instead of the removal of half of the cast and also the need of a revamp.

    For real, this movie and even the cartoon series still holds up and has better storylines and character development than half of the movies made currently. Velma showing women that you can be both super smart AND beautiful, and Daphne showing that you can be strong and fight as well as popular and iconic. Good characters have more than one trait. I'm glad I loved Scooby Doo so much as a kid.

    Unpopular opinion: As a kid I always enjoyed this movie much more than the cartoon UN-IRONICALLY. And I still do.
    The relationship between the Mystery Gang is exactly how I would imagine them IRL, especially compared to their depictions in the OG cartoon.
    The creators actually tried to give them depth and defining character arcs.
    P.S. I'm a sucker for the late 90s/early 2000s aesthetic :3

      I think the training video was to help the monsters acclimate to human society so no one would know they were monsters and then ruin Scrappy’s plans. Obviously it wasn’t that good of a training video because the monster who took over Carol’s body legit THREW a man across the beach so….. 😂😂😂 and as for the monsters and their motivations I don’t think they had one. I think Scrappy was going to rule the world with them as his wingmen so I don’t believe the monsters were motivated for anything except following orders

    7:11 Actually there is an irl Scooby Doo roller coaster that's kinda based off the Closed Creepy Castle/Haunted House scene from this film (haven't actually been on it myself yet since it's always closed/got a ridiculous wait time lol) - The Coaster itself can be found over at Warner Bros Movie World, QLD Australia; and next to the Superman coaster (which may/may not hold a record for being a Really Fast Coaster), remains one of the park's most Iconic rides/attractions to this day (that is, if Covid hasn't messed with it perminantly..)
