Hello Daphne, thank you for sharing your ideas. I actually have some 4x4s that I was planning to use to make a swing, but I may create a modified version of this pergola. I actually have a bunch of handles I can use to attach an existing cover. Whenever it storms in SC it can be very bad. Most likely I will secure my 4x4s. You have done a great job designing your outdoor oasis. Keep up the good work!!
