It's amazing how she sings this song with such ease. I have attempted at this song several times and seen multiple covers on RUclips... not to mention the ridiculous amount of famous artists who have covered it... and its seems like everyone struggles. Even if they are right on spot, it's forced.... she sings with such grace.

patty griffin wrote the song Let Him Fly. it's from her debut album Living with Ghosts, which came out in the 90s. check it out -- always makes me tear up every time i listen to it. once the dixie chicks covered this song, that's when most everyone found out about it, I think.
My Favorite version! But as with all original Singer/Song writers, nothing else will ever compare to the real thing! Dixie Chicks, Jessica Simpson, and Rikkie Lie did a good job, but they'll never beat Patty's amazing performance in this song.
