Amphibian probably voted against punishing Archer, despite him being so against using the machine at all, purely because the hypocritical members wanted to punish him.
If he abstained from voting then they would get their way out voting those who didn't feel comfortable punishing him further.
I get his stance honestly, even when he's constantly out voted he's still going to make his stance known and if he finds everyone on the team are hypocrites about Archer using it for immoral and selfish reasons when they justify their own use of it then yeah he would logically vote against what that harsher side of team want.
Archer is a bastard, but frankly they're all being bastards now, he just went full mask off showing how fucked up this technology can inherently be.

This was a good issue Amphibian really was the person of moral high ground Golden Archer was wrong for doing what he did but Blue Eagle is kind of a scumbag as we’ll see later in the series when the redeemers join the Squadron as a ploy Eagle suggests using the b-mod on them so I can safely say that had Archer not done that Lark would’ve wanted to get away from Eagle because he’s so controlling and demanding. Also yes cover that Captain America issue because it adds a lot to the Squadron Supreme series

I always look forward to either the more coverage of either Squadron or the old Ultimate books, and I will definitely put the Squadron Supreme trade on my Christmas wish list 😃

I would enjoy seeing you cover the captain America issue even if it doesn't factor heavily into the Squadron Storyline.
And even the Marvel Comics before this that had the Squadron as antagonists.

So, on the subject of Squadron Supreme being a twin of Justice League (and Mark Gruenwald being a severely underappreciated writer):
    1) Power Princess being the sole vote to punish whats-his-name (Archer?) using the B Mod harkens to the "Law and Order" version of Wonder Woman, who is more harsh in her dealing with enemies, and which I think of as a 2000s invention. Was Gruenwald really the first to conceive of this? Or am I overanalyzing the significance of Power Princess' vote?
    2) Similarly ,Nighthawk being at odds with the Squadron reminds me of Batman having a contingency plan to take out every member of the League. Actually, before that there something similar where Batman had a contingency plan in the form of a security network composed of Brother Eye and O.M.A.C. maybe? Again, going against the League. Did any of that happen before The Squadron Supreme stories were written, or did Gruenwald anticipate the standoffish relationship between Batman and the League?

I think I would like for you to look at the captain america issue as a sort of intermediary issue.
