"The book" is a hand written journal, for my descendants. I talk about why, what, and how.

Thank you for that. You have inspired me. I have tried many, many times during my 58 years to keep a diary, but I have Attention Deficit Disorder and have failed over and over again. I think that focusing on it as something interesting for future generations may be just what I need. I've written it down as a target for 2024 to keep it for one year. Hopefully this time I'll succeed!

Your feedback has made my day. That is certainly what I do, by asking myself the question: “would what I’m about to write, interest a reader in 400 years”.

Thank you Sir. I also find myself facing the reality of longevity. I also hope that one day those after me find some wisdom or get to know me through what is left behind.

Neil, it sounds like both of us have had health wake up calls that have inspired the same response. As I'm a trained Graphic designer I've always collected visual 'ephemera' from the different phases of my life, and for nearly a year now I've been documenting my life in the form of words and images - my 'Scrapbook of a life'. Another fascinating video which has given me a few new perspectives on my own projects .

I am so glad you like the concept. I’m hoping my descendants will like the concept too. In fact, looking back at this video, I feel it may become one of which I’m most proud, because I think I managed to convey the essence of this concept in the best way I could have done, a concept that might otherwise have been lost. I’m really pleased with it. Thank you for your feedback.

Interesting topic. I always struggle with which books to use, I enjoy writing, drawing, and making little A6 pocket notebooks but I always worry that people will view them as trash because they are homemade. Not worried really, but a concern. As I grow older and travel a bit more I feel like it’s an obligation to document the “little” things I see along the way. Good luck and thank you for the video(s).

First of all, get well soon!
Thank you for this video. I LOVE your channel, it is a shiny piece of hidden treasure in the chaotic sea of the internet. Also as someone whose family did not care ever to leave any words or even a family tree behind, I envy you. But I guess traditions have to start somewhere... :) so slowly started working on creating a legacy recently so that when I get old I can pass these down (photo albums, journaling...etc) and your video has touched me. We all think about the finality of life, and the memory we leave behind, and I really enjoyed your thoughts on the topic.
Do you think about how interesting could it be if both the notebook and the video survive?
Cheers on a cozy Friday night!

I have my late grandmothers old written recipe books . I guess that’s better than leaving nothing for your descendants, haha. I too am jealous of his ancestors leaving journals for him.

Thank you for your kind words. I took time to consider how I might present these concepts, and I'm really pleased with the response.
Do I think the book, and the video will survive?
Let me think about that for a while. I'll address your question in a future podcast, if I may.
      Thank you once again.

Do you plan on making more videos on discbound notebook system?
What about writing different types of subjects as a polymath like Leonardo Da Vinci like sketching ideas, idea for story, learning various types of knowledge, art, etc? (This is probably why i’m interested in buying ring binders and discbound because i write almost everything on my notebook and need to organize my categories.)
By the way, love your videos! ❤

I wouldn't necessarily regard myself as a polymath, but I certainly have an interest in a wide range of interests, both in the sciences and the arts.
I will indeed be making more videos about disc bound notebook systems, although their simplicity and ubiquity means there are fewer aspects that need discussion.
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it.
