I reckon it was a joint effort. And I'm very grateful to all those who took the time to comment.
I think it is good when a company listens to its customers. I hope the community reciprocates their effort and purchases those code free inserts. They will only be incentivised to keep them if they sell.

Usually by “some” stock means that there will be very limited amounts lol. My partner used to work at the factory and they treat their workers terribly (least they did back in 2012) so I’m shocked they bother listening to customers lol😊
I will be monitoring the availability of these "code free" inserts, to see how long availability lasts. I do hope that Filofax print enough to satisfy demand.

Personally I think they will find it's a gimmick that doesn't take off.
I do wonder about the longevity of this QR code "initiative". But I agree with you that Filofax do seem to take customer feedback into account if there is enough of it.
I guess that’s a positive, unless you use an A5 organiser 😢
I don’t have a smartphone, exactly as you describe. I went back to Filofax because I ditched smartphones. This QR business is as wrongheaded as it is infuriating. Smacks of the time, back in the day, when they started making PDA cases etc. How can they not get it?!
