Or: I could rewrite this sentence to have zero adjectives. They mean the same thing but one is more eccentric. If you want to be pedantic about "literally" and "figuratively" there are at least a million better comments or phrases to pick on about it.

Gosh this brings back memories, though my kid brain remembered the animation better. I use to play the Alphabet game a lot, but there were two stages I was terrified of 1)the one with the robotics alligator that chased you, 2) the bees that would cause you to fall while floating on the balloon.
The V smile was definitely a height of my childhood. My family was poor at the time so I thought it was the best thing to exist and I have some pretty fond memories of playing on the console with my siblings

Stating that playing a healthy amount of the game indirectly helped train their brain to concentrate or something. I didn't look too far into it and this was like almost a decade ago.

I just got this in my recommended and I am almost crying because my big brother and I played V-Smile all the time when we were little. We even had the Lion King game in the thumbnail! And the Dora the Explorer game, and the Mickey Mouse one, and Bob the Builder, and Spider-Man, and Scooby-Doo. I think Alphabet Park Adventure came with it.

Oh my god I grew up with the VSmile! Some of the titles I remember playing as a kid are Care Bears, Dora, Spongebob, Barney, The Wiggles, Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, Elmo, The Lion King, and Toy Story 2
This was my favorite thing for YEARS. I still miss to this very day. I played all the Disney games constantly, specifically Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast
The only times I saw this were in elementary school. like, 2nd/3rd grade. I would be going to the bathroom, and one of the classes had one, and they would play it a lot. Never got to actually use one though.
I had the v.smile smart keyboard as a child (undoubtedly the origin of my sick touch-typing skillz), and whilst games such as scooby doo, whinnie the pooh and thomas the tank engine were absolutely bangin', there was one that stood out - the built-in Smart Keyboard game, a sci-fi isekai gem which looked like it had 5 times the visual budget of any other V Smile game, with epic (addition and multiplication based) bossfights to boot, and brilliant music (at least to my 6 year old ears).
I played the Ariel and Dora game constantly... it all felt like a fever dream until I saw this gameplay. It has haunted me since like, 2005. I'm almost an adult now, and I feel like these were creepy, terrifying figments of my imagination.

Holy moly. I spontaneously remembered my blues clues game on an orange and purple gaming system. While watching a how to prepare wine for formal drinking. This is so surreal. Oh my god... the alphabet part... that gives me the chills. I loved the noises. I would just fail for the point of hearing. I remember the noises and colors and fun, but I don’t ever remember the things I “learned” but then again I read stalin in my free time... so I guess I wasn’t a normal kid. I was also a really dumb kid who couldn’t understand how to finish a lego game. Nor had the patience to do so(undiagnosed adhd). Once as a kid I completed the Star Wars one, but didn’t have the patience to try to collect everything. So I was always broke and couldn’t buy anything because I would get like 10k coins when a character costs like 100k when realistically anyone with more than five brain cells would get about 75k per level. Back the the games, I remember blues clues too loved the sounds, the marvel marvel one loved the sounds, and idk more but it’s too hazy and fuzzy. And honestly bruh, I might now be cognitively capable without it. Like I wouldn’t of even been able to get to 10% in more advanced games like that sponge bob game. But still keep in mind I practically couldn’t read when I should of. This is really too surreal. The colors are still very... nice... they are very colorful. And that sponge bob one I couldn’t figure it out. I just played the picture games. I also have dyslexia. But the colors are so nice. Their graphics are compelling. As if it’s a game some modern kid would wish they had. Like I see some of the things kids grow up now with and it’s so... gross. It’s just watching coco melon and other really capitalist hellscape things like tiktok.

So, at my local Target, they had this on display in the toy section for YEARS, along with things like Teddy Ruxpin. I played it a lot while my mom was shopping. It was... fine.
I had a similar product, I had a vsmile pocket, its like the TV version but the display was so small, luckily it had a TV adapter so I could play on the TV.
The funniest thing about the Scooby Doo V-Smile game is that all the monsters are projections, and that's how as a kid scared of The Haunted Mansion ride I learned that all that shit was fake and was able to enjoy it after pissing my pants at the beginning of it.
Oh boy I remember this thing. This was actually the 2nd console that I ever had access to, the first being the LeapPad (not sure which one, apparently they made a few different ones which i had no idea about when i was a kid). I specifically remember my favorite game was the Go Diego Go "platformer." As a child I would even sometimes choose this over my PS2 because it was easier to set up and was a lot easier to navigate, for obvious reasons. I'd kill to have a life as simple as that again lol

The only times I saw this were in elementary school. like, 2nd/3rd grade. I would be going to the bathroom, and one of the classes had one, and they would play it a lot.

I had the v.smile smart keyboard as a child (undoubtedly the origin of my sick touch-typing skillz), and whilst games such as scooby doo, whinnie the pooh and thomas the tank engine were absolutely bangin', there was one that stood out - the built-in Smart Keyboard game, a sci-fi isekai gem which looked like it had 5 times the visual budget of any other V Smile game, with epic (addition and multiplication based) bossfights to boot, and brilliant music (at least to my 6 year old ears).
I played the Ariel and Dora game constantly... it all felt like a fever dream until I saw this gameplay. It has haunted me since like, 2005. I'm almost an adult now, and I feel like these were creepy, terrifying figments of my imagination.
@sarah34523 good comment, what i believe those are what's so called 16-bit graphic design what they like used for Sega Genesis or maybe Atari games. The whole world will never know about videos games give us little children nightmares, me i just love some of the games when i used to play, i just enjoyed spending fun time memories to play and rememeber those good days.

Holy moly. I spontaneously remembered my blues clues game on an orange and purple gaming system. While watching a how to prepare wine for formal drinking. This is so surreal. Oh my god... the alphabet part... that gives me the chills. I loved the noises. I would just fail for the point of hearing. I remember the noises and colors and fun, but I don’t ever remember the things I “learned” but then again I read stalin in my free time... so I guess I wasn’t a normal kid. I was also a really dumb kid who couldn’t understand how to finish a lego game. Nor had the patience to do so(undiagnosed adhd). Once as a kid I completed the Star Wars one, but didn’t have the patience to try to collect everything. So I was always broke and couldn’t buy anything because I would get like 10k coins when a character costs like 100k when realistically anyone with more than five brain cells would get about 75k per level. Back the the games, I remember blues clues too loved the sounds, the marvel marvel one loved the sounds, and idk more but it’s too hazy and fuzzy. And honestly bruh, I might now be cognitively capable without it. Like I wouldn’t of even been able to get to 10% in more advanced games like that sponge bob game. But still keep in mind I practically couldn’t read when I should of. This is really too surreal. The colors are still very... nice... they are very colorful. And that sponge bob one I couldn’t figure it out. I just played the picture games. I also have dyslexia. But the colors are so nice. Their graphics are compelling. As if it’s a game some modern kid would wish they had. Like I see some of the things kids grow up now with and it’s so... gross. It’s just watching coco melon and other really capitalist hellscape things like tiktok.

My son got one of these from his grandparents when he was 2. He would get up in the middle of the night to try to play it (the baby monitor ratted him out.) He was so obsessed with it he started having nightmares about being attacked by the toy hippos from Alphabet Park. He had outgrown it by the time he was 5.

So, at my local Target, they had this on display in the toy section for YEARS, along with things like Teddy Ruxpin. I played it a lot while my mom was shopping. It was... fine.

I had a similar product, I had a vsmile pocket, its like the TV version but the display was so small, luckily it had a TV adapter so I could play on the TV.
The funniest thing about the Scooby Doo V-Smile game is that all the monsters are projections, and that's how as a kid scared of The Haunted Mansion ride I learned that all that shit was fake and was able to enjoy it after pissing my pants at the beginning of it.

Oh boy I remember this thing. This was actually the 2nd console that I ever had access to, the first being the LeapPad (not sure which one, apparently they made a few different ones which i had no idea about when i was a kid). I specifically remember my favorite game was the Go Diego Go "platformer." As a child I would even sometimes choose this over my PS2 because it was easier to set up and was a lot easier to navigate, for obvious reasons. I'd kill to have a life as simple as that again lol
