The PSP was amazing. Especially for the price. I remember the day they came out there was a mountain of them at Walmart. That mountain stayed there for a year. I guess my area wasn't ready for the PSP. I loved mine. I remember the demo disk it came with that had a bunch of nuMetal videos on it. It didn't take long for it to get hacked and soon I was playing all my favorite snes, NES and Genesis games on it. The actual PSP games were pretty lackluster for a long time after release though. Ridge Racer was good. It eventually got some great shit, but it took awhile and being an early adopter was rough as far as original games. The thing I like the most about the PSP was it's screen. For a mobile device of its time that screen was leagues above anything out. And the cute little UI it had made it feel so advanced. I used it was an all purpose device for many years. Internet, movies, music, games. That little sonofabitch did it all.

When I was a wee lad, my mom bought me Michael Bay's Bad Boys on the PSP because she just didn't know any better. I watched that movie hundreds of times as a child, in my native language, then in English, with native subtitles, English subtitles and in a way, Bad Boys on the PSP is what gave me my start in learning the English language. It's very near and dear to my heart.
My GBA went 16 hours on two AA batteries! Rokenbok on the other hand... that stuff ate batteries like crazy! 3 batteries for each vehicle (4 for the monorail), and they lasted only a few hours! My current layout takes 28 AA batteries to run everything!
Videonow has a special place in my heart. I was about 10, and I was in foster care. My little brother and me got split up into different homes, which was horrifying and lonely. He lent me his video now black and white with band geeks, and I watched that episode over and over throughout dozens of nights. It was a weird way of keeping me connected to my brother and distracted from the lonlieness. Ultimately I still get a weird nostalgia sensation when watching that episode.

I was actually thinking it is one of those things where the game pops up a notification about rating the game, and maybe it gently nudges you to give it a 5 star review. I feel like there would be a rule against doing that, but you never know. Stranger things have occurred! Maybe it gives you even more stuff in-game if you give it 5 stars.
LRGonzales because they themselves send him the footage, pics of their AppStore ratings, and the script. More than likely they don’t care changing their script
But now you're all grown up its like treasuring hunting season finding them. I've got all I wanted as a toy except I got myself a wife instead of a Barbie Doll
At the time that was the best anybody had for portable media. So you wanting one back then is understandable. I'm just thankful smart phones can stream just about anything these days.
Sorry for the dour comment but I just wanted to say thanks. My dad passed away last week and I've been binging your content as a cushy nostalgia filled way to self-soothe atm. I wanted to say thanks for providing such a comfortable space in your content. Keep doing what you're doing.
I had exactly one hitclip that I got from a no longer existing toy store that was in a small Finnish town and it played Geri Haliwell's "Scream if you wanna go faster" or whatever it was called. Cons: only one earbud, not the entire song, my parents wouldn't get me any more clips (which was probably wise). Pros: was actually pretty good at making my ears stop hurting on airplanes and I did enjoy replaying that clip of music for a good while at the time.
As a teen I remember ripping and watching the whole avatar: the last airbender on my phone (not smartphone, just phone) tbh it was great, all I lost was resolution and screen size, but plug in some headphones and was watching that every night for a while. Needless to say, I got bored of actual TV as soon as I got broadband internet (was probably 1Mbps), I don't remember tv ever being good, it just was all I had as a kid (whenever I wasn't able to play videogames)
I remember using cheap feature phones as MP3 players while ut and about. The only problem there was nobody would settle on a standard charger or headset format, no iDog for us! Also, did you ever Bluetooth anything to your mates? Loved doing that!
@@GeoNeilUK Initially I infrared-ed stuff, it was literally sitting two pones on a desk and not move them for a couple minutes for a very light file, when we eventually moved to bluetooth it wasn't too wildly different, since you still couldn't do anything while transferring and couldn't move them too much or too far, but at least could pass files while in class. Got so many wallpapers and meme videos. Edit: Heck, I even remember sharing a couple games.
I did the same thing! I'd record the show when it was on and then transfer it to my walkman. The screen was like 2 inches but it didn't matter. I still could watch Avatar on the bus to middle school.

I never got it, and my mom still wonders why I grew up watching X-Files , CSI, and Buffy instead of shows for my age grouup.

I wanted all of these so much as a child, but my mom refused telling me they were pointless because they were expensive and only tiny bad clips of things. I was so mad. Looking back, I'm very thankful she said no.
I had one of those too!! Few years later I got a more up-to-date one that attached to the back of the passenger seat. The front of it was all screen with the dvd slot in the back
Smart phones really did change everything. But we couldn't be sure at the time because everyone else was ALSO releasing their "futuristic" products all over the place trying to replace the CD player. They were usually super specific with primitive quality, but there was nothing better. Your choices were either one of these new things, or a CD player or expensive portable TV from the 80's, and the CD player usually won. Being able to burn your own CD's didn't hurt either.
Oh my gosh I loved my Hit Clips. My sister and I had one of the little boomboxes and we had The Angel’s “My Boyfriend’s Back”, Pink’s “Get The Party Started”, and The Temptation’s “My Girl”. That’s all we had but we played those 1-minute songs all the time 😭
*Is anyone else slightly deaf in only one ear, due to there only being one earbud and it being stuck at an insanely stupid loud volume?* *Thanks Hit Clips!*
I downloaded it once. Got bored after the first week, but I really like Darkness Prevails and the orc waifu was cute for a while, so it was worth it. Not downloading it _again_ , no matter who asks. Still liked the video though. Good content.
I had a spongebob edition video now and it was awesome for what it was🤣 it definitely came in handy when I got grounded bc my mom ALWAYS forgot I had it lol

I laughed because I watched a video a couple days ago where they talked about a "mobile game everyone has been getting paid to shill and this is their vague script." It was Raid, you could tell it was Raid, and then watching this video I could almost predict what was going to happen beat for beat. XD Companies need to stop doing the script thing.
At least four other popular RUclipsrs have been promoting it. I know afterprisonshow, and I want to say like, teamsamuraix1. Unfortunately I can't remember who else I've seen promoting this. It's a big lol (edit; just remembered a third was billiam)
And they thought that everyone was Xtreme! Late 90-early 2000s was like... the time period where being extreme went mainstream. Little kids with silver parachute pants, Soap shoes, Morpheus sunglasses and frosted tips were all over the suburbs riding their Razor scooters and listening to NuMetal on their Hitclips. I think some of the only surviving remnants of that era are the Xbox and Mtn Dew Gamer Fuel.
hey yo Don’t forget track jeans lmao. Tracksuits were so popular back then that they had to just start putting tracksuit stripes on jeans even. Nelly had a pair of those as well. I remember rocking a pair of those in 2000-early 2001.
The average person in 2000 didn’t have DVDs yet. DVD players were really expensive back in 2000 ranging from $700 to $1200 or more, which the average American (middle class) couldn’t afford. Everyone was still using VHS in 2000, and to my recollection every rental service I went to back then had nothing but VHS.
You've done it again, Billiam. I had one or two GBA Video carts, maybe a Sonic X and a Spongebob one? I have no recollection of ever actually getting them though. Mystery.
The 00's had some weird things such as Green Ketchup, Pokemon cereals, Bubble Yum ice cream, Lunchables' S'mores, etc.🥰 Overall, not a bad decade, but it could have been better.😊
@Michael Mathers It's about the weird stuff we had; besides food. We even had these light-up pacifiers that you push it down, it lights up. It was a toy, though.
I remember going to Chicago for a weekend with my 3rd grade class and watching the GBA video of the first season of Pokemon with my friend on his SP, but all the others are new to me.
Our stuff will be considered old dumb useless by the younger generation or just weird to listen to for music as well Time marches forward and you cant stop no matter much you want, and actually you don't know if they'd remove it or not
That's what I was thinking during the video. I wonder what will replace current tech, and how advanced it will be in order to make what we have nowdays obsolete.

“Raid: Shadow legends has a perfect score on the AppStore.”
And I can guarantee that all of those oh so great reviews are paid for.
Where do I sign up to get paid to whore out this game? };-)>
Nah just dumb kids that only put 5 stars for everything
The image he showed only had 4 1/2 stars and I can't get over that

As a child with incredible ADHD the gameboy video line was fantastic in keeping me entertained throughout a car ride
This video makes me feel dumb, because all these were overpriced and terrible quality and I wanted them all so bad when I was a little kid. 😂
It means the marketing team did a good job and kids are not always the best judge of quality.
I'm surprised I shown restrained on them as a kid

i remember these being so LOUD. i had to listen to my simple plan hit clips away from my ear because they were screaming at me 💀
I dunno what model yours was but mine had two volumes. Loud AF and Louder
Bought my girlfriend a hitclips player and a Brittany Spears song in 2012. She's now my wife.
Aww
Arnold Rimmer BSC lol
This is the most absurd and amazing thing I have ever heard in my entire life
An ArchosJukebox6000 says your marriage to Brittany will be annulled faster than HitClips' hot minute.
2012?
Random fact: my friend had the Hit Clips radio and on 9/11 that's how she was able to tell everyone what was going on.
I got my 9/11 play-by-play from fuckin' Howard Stern. If you havn't heard the howard stern 9/11 broadcast, you should.
Thats the most 2000’s thing ever
My first grade teacher just turned the TV on. I just thought we were pledging allegiance for a long time because the tv was up next to the flag.
As if it wasn't on every radio station and tv channel.
@@RestingBeachFace721 Right, but we were in school and our school didn't let us watch TV or listen to the radio school hours.
How did you do that?
I did the same thing! I'd record the show when it was on and then transfer it to my walkman. The screen was like 2 inches but it didn't matter. I still could watch Avatar on the bus to middle school.

I remember wanting one of the video players when I was a kid, since we only had one TV which my dad was always using, and I had no siblings to play with and no one would drive me to see friends... I never got it, and my mom still wonders why I grew up watching X-Files , CSI, and Buffy instead of shows for my age grouup.

I had a full DVD player. It had a laptop like flip screen. It ran 720p movies and music just fine. Great device.

My dad had one and would find any excuse to take it out with us. He was very proud of it.

My friends and I would pass around a Hit Clip during sleepovers hahaha! We were so excited about it though!
Watching this makes me extremely grateful for modern smartphones.

And they thought that everyone was Xtreme! Late 90-early 2000s was like... the time period where being extreme went mainstream. The average person in 2000 didn’t have DVDs yet. DVD players were really expensive back in 2000 ranging from $700 to $1200 or more, which the average American (middle class) couldn’t afford.
