As a Juno one trick, I can confirm that her weapon doesn't make her hard. One of the reasons why I player her is because of her weapon. I find it easy to aim with burst weapons, but some people don't like them.
I usually don't like burst weapons, but honestly, I hardly consider her weapon a traditional "burst weapon" (I.E.: Like a 3-shot burst). That thing fires like SIXTEEN bullets in half a second or less, lol I'll usually miss a couple shots, which is why I hate traditional burst guns, but with Juno, a "couple" shots is mathematically kinda meaningless, lol She has a short-duration laser, not really a burst
@@RandomPhail It's still a burst of 12 bullets, but yeah, it is like a laser, which makes her better at looking for Sombras. But I still only hit the Sombra with the first shot in the burst somehow.
She can get value with just bodyshots but you do need more frequent tracking than most of the supports demand of you to be able to consistently heal (Mercy, Moira, Kiriko, Brig, Lucio, etc.). As someone with a neurological disorder who physically cannot play high aim intensity heroes like snipers, I was a little intimidated by her at first but am pretty comfortable with her now. Sometimes things are a bit too hectic but for the most part I try to play back and she's manageable :)
Hot take: the dev team's obsession with "moving power around" is ruining the game's balance. Every time they make a change, they always find something else to either nerf or buff and it is making these balance changes hard to remember. They tuned down the global projectile size changes a little, but as one of these "shifting power" plays, they buffed the DPS passive. Now there's two variables being changed at the same time and it is only going to make balancing even more difficult in the future. If you're unhappy with where a hero is at to the point that you give them a nerf or buff, why would you go back on your decision by giving them a nerf or buff somewhere else? Why are they trying to weirdly maintain the heroes' power levels when they aren't happy with them in the first place?!
@@Bad3abdulthey also don’t need to change the meta too drastically without knowing how the first change would even work. They’re too scared to let things sit and are too scared to make small changes a long the way
@@keeganbate8935 i wouldn't say that considering venture needs to get close and a good team with brains won't allow that easily but with illari she allows a poke playstyle
Comparing rivals and overwatch is comparing 2 different apples where one may have a better taste uncooked but another is far better when baked. You have to recognize the differences when comparing the similarities.
Hot take: Lifeweaver and baptiste are polar opposites on kit balance: Bap has a very cool and interesting weapon with a high APM but boring and lame abilities (except maybe boots), while weaver has very unique set of abilities with a lot of skill expression and potential creativity, but his gun/heal is extremely lame.
I personally really enjoy Lifeweaver's healing/damage and think they both feel very satisfying to use (thorn volley needs a missile speed buff though). The issue is that even with all the "creative" uses of petal platform, you're still better off just sitting it next to a spot to help people get to high ground (if they even need it) or keep it next to yourself as an escape. It lacks tangible power and is very map/comp dependent.
boots feel like some of the most lame to me. Im not a bap *main* but i play him a decent amount and i feel like a knob sitting there when charging up my boots. I know its more of a positioning tool that an escape tool, he already has his aoe heal and lamp to protect himself but I still try to jump sometimes when getting dove and it just feels bad. Seeing baps on the enemy team do the same makes me feel secondhand embarassment cause the ability just doesnt have that 'presence' or cool factor that makes them fun to use.
i feel like LW heals are reeeally annoying to use, holding and releasing clic is not enjoyable to me, even if his healing output is high. i find his gun quite satisfying to use tho, even if it tickles the ennemies
@@frankprovost As a LW main, my biggest pet peeve is when people say his healing output is high. Yes it's high it's because all he does is heal and even then you RARELY get the full charge of the heal which is optimal. If all he does is heal, he should be the best at it and he really isn't since every other support can do his numbers and more.
Yeah but a lot of people out there who play this game don't treat it competitively, they treat it more like an mmo. Have you seen how many people are in the Friendly custom game servers? Have you seen how many of the ‘uwu’ people emote to each other even in comp games and form friendly pacts with each other? Most of the normies wanna chill in this game, theyre not competitive, an overwatch MMO would fit these people spectacularly. Overwatch feels like a social game alot of the time and not a shooter
I don't think they forgot how to make simple heroes, they just don't excite people as much. Venture is pretty simple and fun, but they aren't popular. They're not even bad really
I think Venture is not popular due to character design though, not because it's kit. Widow has simple kit, Mercy has simple kit and they are popular even after several years have passed.
@@alfredocaceres4680 Mercy's kit has evolved a lot, she may not be a good example anymore. She used to only have a single leap to target. With the ult-reworks, Valk adds more complexity than mass-rez did. While still not very complicated, Illari and Zen have simpler kits now, imho.
The first one is true, for me at least. I practiced Widow for less than a month and my aim in Val and Apex and basicallg every other fps game, especially for flicks and stuff, improved soooo much. I've been hitting shots I didn't even know were possible.
Room temperature take: Can't say I'm loving the Sombra changes, but I get it.. and to be honest, It makes everything more calculated and now I can play her guilt free!
I'm always of the firm belief that there's a difference in "High Skill Heroes" and "High Aim Skill Heroes". Juno's kit is generally quite easy to use... unless you can't aim. Ana's kit is generally quite easy to use... unless you can't aim. Vs something like (I know it's overwatch nobody is actually super difficult if you just put time in) Doomfist where he's mechanically complex and countered by half the roster of both dps and supports.
She needs number changes- specifically around her ult. Whether that being her ult numbers (primarily the heals) or her base numbers, it still needs tweaking. OW1, Bongo was the number 1 (or 2, but EMP being 1) ult to win a fight. They gave her a stronger version of Bongo. Otherwise, I think she is fine for what she does but her ult def needs tuning.
@@THYnameISsarcasmthats so funny to me because I always liked Ana as in aiming to heal but I didnt like how vulnerable she is and her gun always felt kinda off to me. Im glad we finally have two characters that shoot to heal/dmg
10:30 Thank you that's what I've been tryna tell people for a long time People say she can shut down ults easily apart from Jq the chances she nulifies an ult are sooo low 0.45 sec of immortality is what she gives And those who complain about her shots like guys lets be real they are projectile the odds she's two tapping you every fight are less than 50% i watched a stream where kiri only killed this person once and the person immediately started complaining about kiri and it only happened once I've realised that a lot of people just look at numbers and talk
HOT TAKE: The profile hide ability should be locked behind the same achievement the streamer mode option is. What's the point of profiles if 90% of them are hidden?
It'd be enough if "friends only" wasn't the default option. 90% of people never change the defaults, and there is no real reason to do so. If "public" was still the default, then most profiles would be public. But we can't even see the opponents rank/level, except for the victory screen, so you can never know if the opponent is smurfing, or just the matchmaker decided that gold and diamond are basically the same thing. Again.
The problem is that MOST of the player base is pretty low rank and that information in these ranks isn't very useful outside of using it to flame people and be toxic.
Low skill OW players all have WDS (Widow Derangement Syndrome). They can't stop yapping on how "bRoKeN" she is while constantly and brainlessly running in the SAME sightline she's holding 10 times in a row. And get killed every single time. Ofc, they're gonna make her the subject of every "hot" take they have.
Completely agree with the 2-1-2 comment. I was playing open queue comp in a 4 stack with some friends the other day. It was my first time doing that. And we had 2-1-2 with DPS zen being the 1. It was the best time ever and we rolled 7 games in a row on placements. It was a blast
Hot Take: The monthly balance changes are too much for the average player to keep track of. Someone who plays and enjoys a hero(s) may be completely confused when their hero(s) are rebalanced/reworked as they are not watching videos or reading patch notes. Not everyone is hooked into the nitty gritty of this game and it feels like Blizzard does a poor job communicating to everyone large changes to heros if they don't go out of their way to find out these things
Hot take: one tricks make the game more fun, instead of me tilting about "why my tank aint switching" it becomes more like "this is what i got and i have to make it work" it just makes the game more of a strategy instead of mindlessly swapping.
Hot Take: Hog would be one of the most beloved Tanks if his playstyle wasn't so polarizing because when you look at his emotes and listen to his voice lines he becomes a goofy lovable teddy bear who also just happens to wanna eliminate you
15:32. Yall probably don't know about this at the high ranks, but this was probably just a nice way of saying "you aren't hitting shots on juno, please go mercy so we don't end up with a 0 : 22 juno with 600 healing done, even a beginner can at least do something on mercy".
I think it speaks to just how irrelevant Hanzo has become when even KarQ forgets that they buffed his damage so he could one-shot again. I used to enjoy playing him a lot, but ever since they nerfed him into the ground via season 9, I have barely touched him. Even with the buff, he still feels like ass because of how slow the arrow charges and how slow the projectile is. I would trade faster charge time and projectile speed for a smaller projectile size any day so my boy can be relevant again.
all i ever get to see of hanzo nowadays is people shooting down corners and getting random headshots and that's 90% of their kills very reminiscent of tf2's sniper bow weapon tbh
I go on the forums and they always say no to a compromise with Widow, no glint, or laser point or any kind of nerf in anyway because she's supposed to be able to one shot from across the map with no warning or chance to react because "Identity". People keep citing Identity like its the be all end all, like Snipers are just one shots, like they couldn't make Widow a DOT because they love the one shot. They don't care about her identity they only like her for her looks and being a character that kills with little effort.
"Hanzo should be a tank buster" and yet when he could do that by pointing Scatter Arrow at tank's feet and bring them down to critical health, people were complaining about it... He's always been an alternative sniper option to Widowmaker. Tank busters are usually close range like Reaper, Junkrat, Torb's alt fire, and Bastion's turret form. Also Widow being "imbalanced by design" BRO HOW HAVE FPS PLAYERS NEVER HEARD OF A SNIPER??? Like Ana, yes she's powerful but can't really run away that well if you jump her.
i guess the issue is that a widow can run away pretty well if you don't have something like cassidy or ramattra's cooldowns to use on her and neither hero is very well suited for approaching her without being heard from a mile away so long as the widow isn't dogshit at positioning there's usually a few ways for her to escape with a grapple
it's because the chat reports are automated - if you fool around too much in all chat, you could definitely get banned. i used to fool around in all chat with my friends in a 5 stack, and we've been suspended/silenced for making fun of each other. tbh i've only received reports when i'm grouped lol people don't know we're in vc sometimes people will post the flagged chat logs too if blizzard gives them it and it's completely innocent
if you perform well enough you'll get reported just for saying GG in chat found that out by getting silenced at random when all i ever say is just GG or WP and lost my endorsment lvl 5 thanks to that (though im back to 3 already)
1:25 i think they mean just add more depth there are rein otps in top 500, but there's no mercy otps, cuz she is low skill floor and low skill ceiling, rein has low skill floor and high skill ceiling
@@thelakes_s she's my most played hero rn, i'm not saying she's skilless but she's entirely reduced to pocket playstyle most of the time. i liked learning to know all the little details about her rez and GA but... there is only so much you can do with it. Valk is also an incredibly generic ult, there are a lot of passives to it, GA reset, increased self heal, further GA, but at the end of the day they are passives. It's often used as a panic button rather than ACTUALLY enabling your team. not to mention she pretty much has very little synergy with the rest of the support cast. basically i feel like there are interesting things to learn about her, but you don't get a ton reward from learning these things, or the only reward you get from learning these things is just living longer. i feel like the best thing you are able to do as mercy in any given game is just to not die... tldr; mercy is naturally a very passive hero and revolves around being reactive (rez is naturally reactive). can't be as creative with her kit, she's very 1 dimensional, although that is not to say there is no diff btwn high and low skill mercy players
Hot take: Every tank should have a shield. Fights in OW are more interesting and resolve in more unique ways when there are shields involved. Sightlines are dynamically changed with the presence of shields and they give a distinct reason to stick with/follow your tank in fights. They would also help to give a more defined role to tanks other than the high sustain DPS model that the OW2 tanks have trended toward. It's true that there are only so many forms a shield can take, with Rein, Winston, Sig, and Ram covering most of these archetypes already, but there are other options (Sym's old deployable Photon Barrier, for example) and the game is in desperate need of a new teamwork tank.
Regarding question 3: Hazard has the same amount of buttons as Rein. 🤔 Primary fire, block/shield, wall/fire strike, and leap/charge. It just shows as three icons instead of 2. Illari, Mauga and Venture all have 2 skills, but Venture, Mauga, Juno and Hazard also all have "passives" (shield generation, berserker, double jump and climb.) I think passives are usually harder to intuit from gameplay than skill usages, but they're simultaneously not as big of a deal. I didn't realize that Doom got overhealth on hit for like 100+ games. If we're attempting to make the game more casual-friendly, I don't think it's number of skills that's inherently the issue.
Hot take: Overwatch needs to bring back/introduce supports that do not heal at all. Instead they should move sym back to support, because let's be honest, her kit is that of a utility supporter and not that of a "damage" character. And they should expand on the idea of supportera that don't heal by introducing a character that just buffs teammates and nerfs enemies
Interesting Talking point: Overwatch should implement a mode where 3 teams are involved, it could be 6 or 5 players per team depending on where we end up. If you don't know something like Splatoon 3's 3 team turf war mode
2:35 I completely disagree. We have been getting characters with simple archetypes, like KarQ said, we have still been getting simple archetypes like Illarii, but there’s also… Mauga. And most of the characters labeled there aren’t very well liked and aren’t exactly fun to play. Soldier 76 is always lingering in the balance of too overpowered or too underpowered, hardly ever feels like there’s an in between. Even if Rienhardt wasn’t so bad, his gameplay would also still be pretty boring since most of what he does is hold up a large shield. And Zenyatta, I’ve never found him fun at least, and he’s also one of the most annoying characters in the game rn. More complex kits are more fun for most. JQ is one of the characters I enjoy most in this game. Juno is also appreciated as a pretty fun character for most (if she didn’t enable such a cringe meta)
Hot take mei has one of the ults in the game and I would rather have her ult changed to where she gets 12 seconds of primary freeze back and it has more range so it can be considered a ul
It probably wouldnt work, but i want to try 2-2-1 where the support is gigabuffed like the early oW2 seasons tanks. Im a support main, i liked solo healing in kingmaker. The biggest problem is that the solo support would get heavily targeted and it would screw with supports like zen who heal less. Still sounds fun
Hot take: casual player on console, and I think tanking is in a pretty healthy spot it's been getting better for a while. I've always played most tanks and yet I rarely have to counterswap unless it's the start of the match and it's multiple awful matchups. Didn't really get the counterwatch complaints, I pick based on the map or what I want to run with my team's picks
My take is that 6v6 has higher highs but also lower lows than 5v5. Everyone remembers the good games when they got the perfect tank synergy, but the strength of these synergies means that if you were unfortunate enough to get a tank teammate hard to play around (a hog or ball) the game became miserable.
Hot Take: I actually think they did a really good job on the Sombra rework. She seems a bit more skill expressive as I see alot of good Sombra players using her invisibility with much more creativity and skill than before thanks to the fact she's a bit easier to catch out. This makes her feel more interactive all things considered, and a bit less frustrating to play against. Even if I die to a Sombra, I find myself giving them a bit more respect, due to her gameplay loop not being so simple anymore. She seems like an actual dps character that deals decent damage, and can oneshot certain characters with good accuracy, in comparison to before where it seemed like the only value and fun she provided was just to waste time in the backline and piss people off with nonstop hacking and permanent invisibility. She's truly less of a pest, and more an actual character in my eyes
As a guy who forces hog into GM games... It is hilarious to see people complain about people playing weak characters. I play arguably the weakest tank right now, and still make it work into good players.
Juno is very easy and comfortable. Throw ring, team kill enemies. Throw ring, make teammates harder to hit because I keep missing my shots, so wait for right click cd. Lol
Juno is so easy. I played overwatch for a week this year, during thanksgiving, and put 12 hours on her. I placed master and climbed to GM with very little difficulty that week.
That Rein one is crazy. Unless he's asking for it for his DPS (like he's having a rough game/matchup and he thinks more resources into the DPS rather than him will win it) then....I don't understand. If you want a save you'd ask for LW no? What's Mercy going to do? Rein is a melee character, if he goes down it's almost never rezzable short of gross incompetence on the other team or massive overplay by a Mercy > in which case we're talking about Mercy OTP level understanding of the character to get that type of rez consistently
A take: Lucio is way harder than Kiriko. Kiriko has a pretty solid healing output and you can get easy value with her kit, her ult is pretty busted too, aiming kunais can be tough. Lucio has wall riding, having to manage healing and speed, having to work with your team to get value out of speed, ult is good but not kistune strong, also requires aiming admittedly not as difficult as kunais can be. Overall lucio is harder than kiri
Hot take: we need to try Marvel Rivals' teams ups mechanic in Overwatch! There's so much untapped potential (some examples down below): «Cloaked in shadows» (Moira + Reaper) • Reaper's Wraith Form now grants Reaper invisibility and extra 50% movement speed bonus. «Harvesting» (Widowmaker + Reaper) • Enemies killed by Widowmaker drop Soul Orbs. Reaper can absorb them to gain temporary speed boost and overhealth. «Overheating» (Bastion + Torbjorn) • When Torbjorn uses his Overload while Bastion is nearby, Bastion gains 50 overhealth, movement and transformation speed boost as well as attack speed boost. «Bodyguard» (Roadhog + Junkrat) • Roadhog can pull friendly Junkrat to him. Such pull's animation is faster and movement speed penalty during the cast is lower. Roadhog shares his Take a Breather healing with Junkrat if he is nearby and can grant him up to 50 overhealth.
the first take is certainly hot. Overwatch is, of all things, not a simple game. The fundamentals of a FPS would probably be much easier learned in a game that doesn't have 4oish heroes with multiple abilities each.
2:50 boiling hot fucking take, bro listed 3 heroes who range from hot ass and outdated to barely counting as a DPS because a single damage number decides if he's broken or useless
Suggestion, give soldier a passive stacking buff that increasing the damage of his next bullet to armor after hitting a target with armor, make this ramp up over time. Kind like stacking armor shredding, so that if he spams onto an armored target he would progressively do more damage to the armor.
@@cgj458 I agree that his utilization is best in that way, as he currently is. My suggestion is meant to bring a "idea" to the table. like any other suggestion. Your response is A: not seeing my point clearly, and B: not suggesting a change to him at all. so, what help are you really? The point is to literally increment at such a small level so that, you know, 50% of his damage isnt completely negated by armor. Thats the point. but not to change him against anything that doesnt have armor. so its not like his power against anything but the tanks is going to even change. Think the Obuch from Age of Empires 2, but im sure balance in that game will make your head spin.
My comment meant to expose the nativity of your suggestion, but you are already doing that by yourself. Your suggestion would make him play like a (way stronger) sojourn since his primary is actually hitscan.
@@cgj458 Naivety. If you are going to attempt to "expose" someone for Naivety, please use the correct spelling. How so? this would only affect armor. Also if you want to tone it back, then make the "armor shredding" status effect last for one second, and only applies to him when he shoots an armored target. this is solely to assist him in doing a higher output of damage against the high health heroes, specifically ones with armor. But what I'm thinking is like, maybe 5% damage increase? How does this change turn him into Soujourn? why dont you give me some number ideas to support. I havnt used any yet, but I can provide some ideas if you like.
@@akimomalrov3241 Spelling? Nativity is a word, it's clearly auto-correct. Not surprised you start your reply with that, because unfortunately thats your best point so far. Tank- shedding from distance is Sojourns niche, obviously, and like I said, if you give soldier that ability, you literally ruin every tank that has no shield. Remember, Sojourn only has that ability because her primary is not hitscan. Out of curiosity and to maybe understand your perspective better, are you a console player? And what's your highest rank on DPS right now? Your ideas are simply not good and show me that you don't really think about hero-balance within the context of the entire hero pool.
hot take: I think the reason people want to have LFG in game is because it finds a community FOR them. They don't want to put in the effort of actively looking or sifting through online communities and they don't want to put in the effort to properly socialize to do it.
Tbh if you play at a high level in most games the best thing you can do is join a discord. Usually better players are in these communities, making it easy to find a competitive stack
The group finder was more convenient and it also told you the role that they needed filled or what roles were left available. Most of them were DPS players looking for tanks and supports to play with. I actually found my friend group in the LFG, and we played for a really long time together. It was like a perfect fit, I was an off tank dva and they specifically needed an off tank. So I filled the role and became the newbie lol. I'm in the Mercy parkour Discord, and I've found so many friends there alone. We even play together, which u would think we are all "Mercy mains" but there's actually a lot of people who like playing her but don't only play her. I actually play Juno, Ana, or Soj most of the time. I'm also in the r/anamains subreddit, but that one doesn't seem as close knit as the parkour Discord. Idk if it's just bc of the platform and that people only post clips and questions or what but some OW communities aren't super social in terms of "hanging out." That's not to say you couldn't make friends in them though.
Hot take: I think Brig is the most annoying support, maybe even hero to play against, she just makes her other support immortal and they make her immortal, a hero entirely centered around peel is a horrendous to play against, not even OW1 peel DVA was this fucking annoying, especially since she needs no aim for her healing and if she has a Juno it's a nearly undiveable backline
hot take : Sombra in mirrormatch (or if she will be an support) will be the same for Symmetra at her beginning : unplayable and unfun to play. Her EMP is like a huge Soldier heal, her hack is like Symettra shield at her beginning. Let Sombra alone in DPS (and maybe before the rework, but that's another story) :p
Every hero yet feels new and has a breath of fresh air in terms of mechanics and playstyle. All except Sojourn. Sojourn is your regular archetypal hero shooter that fulfills the need for a faster fire-rate hero. None of what sojourn has to offer feels new. A lot of it seems to be borrowed from the gameplay loop of Soldier, Widow, and at times Genji, all of which share the same role as Sojourn. So it really feels like Sojourn was supposed to be a "Soldier 2 : Railgun Boogaloo, instead of an individual character that feels different at its core. So no wonder that Soldier appeal has decreased in OW2. Because they just offered us a better and more satisfying version of that character. It feels like a mashup of a few characters, rather than its own standout thing.
Semi-Hot Take: There would be a lot less Widow unfun/uncounterable/boring/poor design complaints if two or three maps were removed from the game - Havana, Circuit Royal and King's Row. These maps have very few flank options on top of having pretty long sightlines. I don't think making changes to these maps is even a band aid fix either, it's a proper fix, as on other maps with more flank options Widow feels much more fair game imo. Even Junkertown which afaik is seen as a widow map has decent flank and dive options for dealing with her compared to the other three I mentioned.
You are the first one I have seen that hates King's row😂I think the only bad point on King's Row is the third point with the two high grounds but the first two points are fine.
That thing about reworking low skill floor characters for higher ranks makes no sense to me. Naturally if youre a higher rank shouldnt that mean you need to play higher skill heroes?
7:31 ok just saying But this applies TO ALL SNIPERS AND SNIPER RIFELS I MULTIPLAYER GAMES THEY DON’T BELONG HERE AND THEY JUST EXIST TO SLOW THE GAME TO A CRAWL
HOT TAKE: the only way to not repeat the OW1 problem that killed the game (q times) is to have tank as the strongest role. The role is the least fun, most stressful and most mentally demanding of the 3 whilst not being an easy free win role cause most of the time you get hard focused and/or countered, so why is it that (especially at higher ranks) all 3 roles have similar impact on if you win the game. For tank to have no extra reward for being such an annoying role to play means that people just leave over time and now with marvel rivals thats a more pressing issue than ever.
Juno clicked with me and is my best/fav rn. Juno's Mediablaster is a 3-shot burst hitscan weapon, and I've found that "painting" the target is helpful, swiping across the target area so at least one projectile connects. You need to be constantly using your Pulsar Torpedos for max DPS and HPS, and to charge your Ultimate. Double jump to get a good view, then launch Torpedos at as many players on both teams - don't "save" the torpedo for an emergency healing situation, you should be repeatedly targeting as many enemies and friendlies as possible with the torpedos. If an enemy is low health after your torpedos, you finish them off by Glide Boosting to them, then using the Hyper Ring to get away. Hyper Ring your team (esp the tank) during all engagements, they reload/shoot/run faster! Her ultimate Orbital Ray can win teamfights and you should try to release a massive Orbital Torpedos from within the Orbital Ray, this will melt enemy teams, Juno herself can finish off a couple and the team can finish the rest. I like to pop this when our team begins an engagement, releasing the Orbital Ray from behind. Don't save this for the end of a teamfight. You will need to be highly mobile and threatening. Juno's big problem is health and can be an easy target without her cooldowns. I am in a lower rank but I consistently am my team's #1 healer as Juno, and I consistently get kills and DPS output matching or exceeding the actual DPS. I am on PC. Edit: Juno needs a mythic skin, or at least some legendaries!
are we really at the point where we think JUNO is complicated? lmao like bruh ult stays after she dies doesnt even need to go through her own portal to get a speed boost cant get headshots homing torpedoes 🤨
Hot take. Toxicity makes Overwatch matches more memorable and entertaining. The fact that you can't even trash talk in a VIDEO GAME anymore because someone will take it to heart and get their feelings hurt is actually insane.
Nah, toxicity just makes overwatch players look like hateful no-lifers. I've played lots of toxic games but not once were people toxic IN CASUAL like overwatch.
@BlueySchiffer I don't care enough about overwatch to trash talk. it just makes for a more entertaining game watching grown ass people get butthurt over pixels on a screen
@@BlueySchiffer overwatch players don't know what's like to be gentle and respectful on the internet and people being gentle back and giving basic respect, which happens on almost every competitive activity irl, they accepted toxicity as natural and part of the game. I almost fell on this hole on other games but learnt not to let hatred flourish in my heart due to something as petty and inconsequential as gaming.
Hot take: the game has lost its luster. And that’s ok. People should learn to be ok with that. Sure it’s balanced but it feels more tedious to play than most other games that I just don’t want to play it anymore. Other games are just more appealing now and I think that’s ok. Overwatch follows a formula: Balance the game by shifting power around Add new hero’s and new maps Maybe try a new mode Repeat. They don’t do much else than that for content besides skins and skins and collab skins and more skins and kiriko skins. I just feel like my time is better spent playing any other game and I also feel ok with that. I think more people feel that way but think it’s bad or wrong to feel that type of way about a game they might’ve spent years on and effort on. I think it’s ok to feel like the game and it’s cycle has ran it’s course.
I think a major problem with soldier is hes supposed to be a super soldier but doesnt feel like it. Make his run speed way faster, give him a higher jump and allow him not to wall climb but allow him to pull himself onto ledges like you can in parkour games. Give him two helix rockets with reduced damage and more knockback allowing soldier to rocket jump in conjunction with parkour abilities to give him more escapability. Make him as hard to kill as tracer.
Lol "in relation to" is the incorrect American way of using it, its actual meaning is far more precise. It literally means "face to face" and describes when two things oppose each other, physically. What's the point of using such phrases if you misuse them?
Hot take? Marvel rivals is overrated. As a first person shooter Overwatch has managed to convey more personality and uniqueness to the characters than rivals, third person (since launch btw and they took it up a notch in ow2) that's only the tip of the iceberg on why i think that game is so overrated, but what you want i guess
Hot take? Turrets should NOT exist in overwatch (or any shooter in my opinion) there should NEVER be a set it and forget it kind of object that a player can just place and get value without interacting in SOME way. I don’t care if the turret/character is good or bad, a player should NOT be rewarded by just pressing a button and leaving the turret to do its own thing forcing enemies to interact with it. At MOST all turrets should exist until the player that put them down dies.
Dude died from a turret and now he's crying about it. Turrets especially sym turrets and illaris pylon require good positioning strategy and CD management. One mistake and you lose a 12-15s cd. "Place a turret and you automatically get value" well, with that logic, enemies that just hit the turrets will automatically get value too? Overwatch is not a simple shooter in case you didn't notice. It relies on strategy and abilities that do not require too much aim but pure game sense and strategy.
Bro dont let the dislikes fool you, this was picked up by the twat-mettra subreddit and they are r are pinning your comment to try and get it mass downvoted. You are entirely right and the more common sense people on reddit even admit that. Other turret heros need to actually interact with their gear, OW lazy hero design goes the other way.
bro this is such a weird complaint. the player spent time making the turret and chose it's location, the value it gets depends on how good the positioning of it was in relation to the fight. if you wanna talk about getting value by just existing you should be talking about widowmaker. she doesn't have to set and forget anything she can just exist and people have to respect her sight lines like crazy. she's an actual issue as opposed to the damaging turrets in this game. anyway if you're going to place restrictions on already very mediocre abilities, you'd have to buff them, and I don't think you'd want that... at least I don't. this just screams plat idk
@@BlueySchifferat the very least widow maker still has to land shots to get any real value. A widow maker existing off the point just scoped in is little to no use. Turrets can be placed and forgotten about even after death and unless a player specifically goes to deal with the “set and forget” ability then it will continue to get value until that area of the map is no longer in play. There should be absolutely 0 abilities in the game that give you value for just setting and forgetting, I know turrets aren’t even that good right now but that doesn’t mean it’s healthy for the game long term. Illari turret, torb, symmetra. At most their turrets should despawn after they die, an ability should not continue to exist after the player is dealt with. Turrets in video games have become a staple sure yea I get it but can you REALLY sit there and look at them and say a player should be rewarded for turret placement and that’s all? They just get ult charge, flank coverage, extra damage, and more even after death because they knew where to look and press E? No healthy game works that way
If you need a hot take. I should be allowed to trash talk in match chat. I got banned despite never talking in chat except saying "freelo" and " "tank diff" after wins. If i want to act like a wrestling heel i should not only be allowed to but encouraged to do so. If you dont want to be called bad try winning
You're definitely telling half lies here. I do the same thing + occasional "?" on chat when outplay and never got even a warning. The way you talk really makes me think you're not just trash talking lightly lol
Tbh, when people on the enemy team talk trash, I just see them as uneducated. I do understand getting upset at your team, though. I try to keep my frustration respectful because not everyone has the same commitment to winning.
No. Incredibly entitled opinion. Not everyone who plays Overwatch wants that experience and forcing it on them makes you a petulant child. MMR sets you with players at your skill level, so you are literally no better than those people you trash talk. “If you don’t want to be called bad, try winning.” How about, if you want to call people bad, grow tf up. Step back and examine why you have that urge. Or keep making other people’s experiences worse and keep getting banned.
That first take was awful . Overwatch is not that deep to me, its a simple af game with simple effort. Ive been top 200 in the world multiple times but overwatch is simple. MY opinion before anyone speds on my commenr

As a Juno one trick, I can confirm that her weapon doesn't make her hard. One of the reasons why I player her is because of her weapon. I find it easy to aim with burst weapons, but some people don't like them.
Definitely, I wish her skill ceiling wasn't so low, there definitely could have been ways to make her feel more advanced
I usually don't like burst weapons, but honestly, I hardly consider her weapon a traditional "burst weapon" (I.E.: Like a 3-shot burst). That thing fires like SIXTEEN bullets in half a second or less, lol
I'll usually miss a couple shots, which is why I hate traditional burst guns, but with Juno, a "couple" shots is mathematically kinda meaningless, lol
She has a short-duration laser, not really a burst
Absolute facts. I've never been a fan of developers with this approach.

"They forgot how to make simple heroes"
Meanwhile Venture dig, eat rock and dash.
I think it's because Venture looks complicated when you see one flying around the map but their abilities are pretty simple like you said
Yeah, venture is even easier than Illari to play. Mostly because you don't have to keep track of your turret and move it around.
@@keeganbate8935 i wouldn't say that considering venture needs to get close and a good team with brains won't allow that easily but with illari she allows a poke playstyle
Mauga....
And yet Mauga is criticized as one of the most braindead heroes...lol
Comparing rivals and overwatch is comparing 2 different apples where one may have a better taste uncooked but another is far better when baked.
You have to recognize the differences when comparing the similarities.
Flawless rebuttal

@@alfredocaceres4680 Agreed, it's really sad how they made a very unique and fun character and don't give any attention to them.
Even before Venture, Illari was also really simple. Place pylon, click heads. The most complicated thing about her is her ult.
@@starrysky8118 Agreed

The first one is true, for me at least. I practiced Widow for less than a month and my aim in Val and Apex and basicallg every other fps game, especially for flicks and stuff, improved soooo much. I've been hitting shots I didn't even know were possible.
Room temperature take: Can't say I'm loving the Sombra changes, but I get it.. and to be honest, It makes everything more calculated and now I can play her guilt free!
Glad you are figuring it out, you should still feel guilty, Sombra is the living embodiment of evil.
I miss memeing around tho….it feels so weird. I feel like low budget tracer
you'll still get people complaining about her and also people playing her as a hero that can only attack once every 6 seconds
Juno is literally perfect and I would not change a single thing about her.
Totally agree. Btw the new heroes are awesome the hero design team is killing it
She needs number changes- specifically around her ult.

I've realised that a lot of people just look at numbers and talk

I would trade faster charge time and projectile speed for a smaller projectile size any day so my boy can be relevant again.
lol they've removed the draw speed change
all i ever get to see of hanzo nowadays is people shooting down corners and getting random headshots and that's 90% of their kills
very reminiscent of tf2's sniper bow weapon tbh
I go on the forums and they always say no to a compromise with Widow, no glint, or laser point or any kind of nerf in anyway because she's supposed to be able to one shot from across the map with no warning or chance to react because "Identity". People keep citing Identity like its the be all end all, like Snipers are just one shots, like they couldn't make Widow a DOT because they love the one shot. They don't care about her identity they only like her for her looks and being a character that kills with little effort.
I just like hitscan. Widow, Cas and Illari have the best feeling kits for someone like me.
Gameplay should always trump lore IMO.
@@ntdscherer For most heros it does, but favoritism for some like Widow and Kiriko.........
Like Ana, yes she's powerful but can't really run away that well if you jump her.
i guess the issue is that a widow can run away pretty well if you don't have something like cassidy or ramattra's cooldowns to use on her
and neither hero is very well suited for approaching her without being heard from a mile away
so long as the widow isn't dogshit at positioning there's usually a few ways for her to escape with a grapple
I hear so many people talk about getting comm banned for typing, but I type all the time and have Never got banned
it's because the chat reports are automated - if you fool around too much in all chat, you could definitely get banned. i used to fool around in all chat with my friends in a 5 stack, and we've been suspended/silenced for making fun of each other. tbh i've only received reports when i'm grouped lol people don't know we're in vc
sometimes people will post the flagged chat logs too if blizzard gives them it and it's completely innocent
if you perform well enough you'll get reported just for saying GG in chat

Regarding question 3:
Hazard has the same amount of buttons as Rein. 🤔
Primary fire, block/shield, wall/fire strike, and leap/charge. It just shows as three icons instead of 2.
Illari, Mauga and Venture all have 2 skills, but Venture, Mauga, Juno and Hazard also all have "passives" (shield generation, berserker, double jump and climb.)
I think passives are usually harder to intuit from gameplay than skill usages, but they're simultaneously not as big of a deal. I didn't realize that Doom got overhealth on hit for like 100+ games.
If we're attempting to make the game more casual-friendly, I don't think it's number of skills that's inherently the issue.
Possible Juno tip, hold the fire button down the whole time and during auto reload to get used to the rate of fire.
If you don't know something like Splatoon 3's 3 team turf war mode
i disagree with the lfg one i used to find such fun groups in there it was fun
Not wanting speed as Rein seems wild to me. I love being sped up and getting ravenous on the enemy
Lol
What is stored where?
Hot Take: let people opt in for backfill for extra exp to complete dailys/BP faster
3:20 Mauga and Illari are two of the most recent heroes and they're both extremely simple
Suggestion: Give both teams 1 minute to fight for capture on Hybrid maps. Fighting for a draw needs to go away.
4:45 oh but i thought rivals had the best balance ever seen in gaming ever?😢
A take: Lucio is way harder than Kiriko. Kiriko has a pretty solid healing output and you can get easy value with her kit, her ult is pretty busted too, aiming kunais can be tough. Lucio has wall riding, having to manage healing and speed, having to work with your team to get value out of speed, ult is good but not kistune strong, also requires aiming admittedly not as difficult as kunais can be. Overall lucio is harder than kiri

Hot take: we need to try Marvel Rivals' teams ups mechanic in Overwatch! There's so much untapped potential (some examples down below):
«Cloaked in shadows» (Moira + Reaper)
• Reaper's Wraith Form now grants Reaper invisibility and extra 50% movement speed bonus.
«Harvesting» (Widowmaker + Reaper)
• Enemies killed by Widowmaker drop Soul Orbs. Reaper can absorb them to gain temporary speed boost and overhealth.
«Overheating» (Bastion + Torbjorn)
• When Torbjorn uses his Overload while Bastion is nearby, Bastion gains 50 overhealth, movement and transformation speed boost as well as attack speed boost.
«Bodyguard» (Roadhog + Junkrat)
• Roadhog can pull friendly Junkrat to him. Such pull's animation is faster and movement speed penalty during the cast is lower. Roadhog shares his Take a Breather healing with Junkrat if he is nearby and can grant him up to 50 overhealth.

The point is to literally increment at such a small level so that, you know, 50% of his damage isnt completely negated by armor. Thats the point. but not to change him against anything that doesnt have armor. so its not like his power against anything but the tanks is going to even change.

The best fps to start with is Team Fortress 2 and its not even close
Sped found
@Takemura77 Whats that mean and whats it got to do with my comment jaja
hot take: I think the reason people want to have LFG in game is because it finds a community FOR them. They don't want to put in the effort of actively looking or sifting through online communities and they don't want to put in the effort to properly socialize to do it.
Sounds about right. I'd rather play alone than do all that and I love talking to people
Def true. No one would prefer getting assigned a random friend other than those who cant or wont make friends on their own accord
At low levels, a 2k doesn't guarantee a win. Respawns could get back to the fight before you clean up.
Hot take: Bring back car wash. My team is dirty
Hot take: ow2 is one of the best balanced aaa title
When the top comment says that MR is worse than OW in every aspect you know it's starting. . .
Damn did karq just tell me “making friends is easy scrub” bro why you do that to me
I thought the first hot take was gonna be
Ow is the best FPS and I was gonna laugh to my grave
Okay, so what is?
hot take : Sombra in mirrormatch (or if she will be an support) will be the same for Symmetra at her beginning : unplayable and unfun to play. Her EMP is like a huge Soldier heal, her hack is like Symettra shield at her beginning. Let Sombra alone in DPS (and maybe before the rework, but that's another story) :p
😂😂😂
@@jaymolinski4789 What? When did I say I hate the map?
That thing about reworking low skill floor characters for higher ranks makes no sense to me. Naturally if youre a higher rank shouldnt that mean you need to play higher skill heroes?
It's pronounced 'visa vee'
7:31 ok just saying But this applies TO ALL SNIPERS AND SNIPER RIFELS I MULTIPLAYER GAMES
THEY DON’T BELONG HERE AND THEY JUST EXIST TO SLOW THE GAME TO A CRAWL
😂😂
I used to not think that but yeah too many games allowne z snipers to hide I the back with 1 shots . Exactly why Hawkeye needs a nerf on marvel rivals
Wrong, sinpers are only problematic in games with high ttk, in any other game theyre meh, esp if you have to sacrifice utility for it
HOT TAKE: the only way to not repeat the OW1 problem that killed the game (q times) is to have tank as the strongest role.
Q times didn’t kill the game. Lack of care from devs did. Not getting updates or new content for months or years is what killed it.
@@flamingwolfx
Queue times killed the game and it’s an insane take to say otherwise
@ queue times were a think since role queue and the game was definitely not dead immediately after role que. It’s not queue times bruh
@@LFanimes333it was lack of updates that did cause they were focused on ow2
2-3-2 is the way to go
Juno clicked with me and is my best/fav rn. I am on PC. Edit: Juno needs a mythic skin, or at least some legendaries!
are we really at the point where we think JUNO is complicated? lmao like bruh
ult stays after she dies
doesnt even need to go through her own portal to get a speed boost
cant get headshots
homing torpedoes

I can't wait for 6v6 I miss playing the actual game.
Is this title grammatically correct?
I've played lots of toxic games but not once were people toxic IN CASUAL like overwatch.
frankly it's a bit more insane you're this attached to trash talk lol
@BlueySchiffer I don't care enough about overwatch to trash talk. it just makes for a more entertaining game watching grown ass people get butthurt over pixels on a screen
@@BlueySchiffer overwatch players don't know what's like to be gentle and respectful on the internet and people being gentle back and giving basic respect, which happens on almost every competitive activity irl, they accepted toxicity as natural and part of the game. I almost fell on this hole on other games but learnt not to let hatred flourish in my heart due to something as petty and inconsequential as gaming.
10:10 easy suzu?
Hot take: the game has lost its luster. And that’s ok. People should learn to be ok with that.
Sure it’s balanced but it feels more tedious to play than most other games that I just don’t want to play it anymore. Other games are just more appealing now and I think that’s ok. Overwatch follows a formula:
Balance the game by shifting power around
Add new hero’s and new maps
Maybe try a new mode
Repeat.
0:29 ayyo ?!
I have a hot take
It got cold by the time i type it on comment
Vis-a-vis made me laugh. It's pronounced "veez-ah-vee"
It means "in relation to"
Lol "in relation to" is the incorrect American way of using it, its actual meaning is far more precise. It literally means "face to face" and describes when two things oppose each other, physically. What's the point of using such phrases if you misuse them?
Hot take? Marvel rivals is overrated. As a first person shooter Overwatch has managed to convey more personality and uniqueness to the characters than rivals, third person (since launch btw and they took it up a notch in ow2) that's only the tip of the iceberg on why i think that game is so overrated, but what you want i guess
pls leave the comparisons alone

I will DIE on this hill before I let ANYONE convince me that turrets IN ANY SHOOTER are even remotely healthy with how they are commonly used
Dude died from a turret and now he's crying about it.
No healthy game works that way
Clover yum
If you need a hot take. I should be allowed to trash talk in match chat. I got banned despite never talking in chat except saying "freelo" and " "tank diff" after wins. If i want to act like a wrestling heel i should not only be allowed to but encouraged to do so. If you dont want to be called bad try winning
womp womp try not getting banned
Maybe try being a better person. Be nice to your fellow humans, its just a game
