    They should also include videos with Hanoi accent, since it is standard. But foreigners are more familiar with South Vietnam accent, so it is easy to understand why

    Vietnamese grammar is the #1 easiest in the world. The only thing make it hard is the tone and pronunciation

      one of my favorite things about vietnamese is how they say đã for past and sẽ for future. for example: tôi *sẽ* ăn = i *will* eat. or họ *đã* ăn một trái lựu rồi = i *have* eaten a/one pomegrante already. simpler than some other languages.

    I love so much how this language sounds. Does anyone know if exist verbal conjugation in Vietnamese? (I mean if it's like Mandarin in that aspect)

    • @tinyrainbow0505
      @tinyrainbow0505 9 лет назад +14

      +Ramiro Sotto vietnamese doesn't have much conjugations for verbs. tenses are created by simply add in some words for past, present or future. even if those words are not added, people still understand if there are enough context

    • @colin6748
      @colin6748 8 лет назад +5

      +Ramiro Sotto Unlike other languages, there's no conjugation for the verbs whatsoever. That's why using verbs in Vietnamese is usually easier than other European languages because there are specific words for tenses and you just add 'em in to form the correct tense.Well, basically you can omit the specific words without having to worry about comprehension!

    I'm not saying Vietnamese sounds ugly but I think its vowels placement and consonant combinations are really weird and alien. As a Cantonese speaker I don't think the tones are what makes it alien but I feel like some consonants are pronounced like at the very back of the mouth and feels more palatalized. Rather exotic.
    Also many say that the sound of Cantonese is more "harsher" than Vietnamese but for me it's like the exact opposite.

    • @vio3366

      b js yes im viet and like 1/8 chinese haha :-D and no, not all Vietnamese know the Hanzi version or the Chinese meaning of their names, although I do becoz my Dad knows Chinese hehe / Siu Touzi is only my screen name though. I have read about how Korean people have to learn "Hanja" during primary school? How does this help?
      If only schools in Vietnam also taught us Chu Nom :( it's our traditional writing system

    • @deadpool113
      @deadpool113 8 лет назад +1

      +thỏ con 小兔子 oh you know about 'Hanja'. I worried how to express hanja to vietnamese. I was thinking about hanja same like you.but when I became adult I realised it is really useful.at first there are many hanja based technical words in Korea.I cannot know if I just look at the hangeul.but if I suppose the hanja's meaning I can easily understand the words.not just for this.It is so much useful when learning chinese and japanese.I felt much easier when I learned them. but my friends who don't know about hanja felt harder.and the important thing is I can understand your name. rabbit man.or maybe son.I think your name is cute.in our way we pronounce it as so to ja.

    • @conchobar0928
      @conchobar0928 8 лет назад +6

      +Chris BK actually they aren't anymore "related" than cantonese and korean. it's just borrowing, not a common origin. vietnamese just sounds more similar since it's also a tonal language.

      heard the cantonese and you will know it more alien then vietnamese ( 8 tones , dont know how they can have 8 tone ...... )

    •  6 лет назад +1

      inoue jerry No, it not. The tones in Cantonese sound the same or similar to other, not quite difference like the one in Vietnamese. All tone in Vietnamese are identical from each one of other. Plus Vietnamese use more vowel and consonant than Cantonese.

    Even for Vietnamese who from North Vietnam also can not understand all this. These voices are from South. North voice is much more easy to understand. Beside, it is too difficult, people speak too fast. Please when make videos and NAMED it Easy, so make them easy for learners!!!

      với lại miền bắc là cội nguồn của lịch sử vn, hơn 1000 năm vua chúa đầu tiên cũng là từ miền bắc , tiếng việt cũng từ đấy mà ra

      Đâu cứ phải giọng Hà Nội là chuẩn đâu anh? Em là người Bắc đây. Thực ra ngôn ngữ khó có được giọng chuẩn lắm. Nói như tiếng Anh thì phổ biến nhất là giọng Anh-Mỹ với Anh-Anh đó. Tiếng Việt mình do rất đặc biệt và cả 3 miền, miền nào cũng đều có cách phát âm riêng cho nên khó phân biệt được giọng chuẩn lắm. Bản thân em có nhiều bạn người Mỹ và Đức thì họ nói giọng miền Nam lại dễ hiểu hơn đấy.
