Hey man, I just played Obra Dinn and I loved it. Obra Dinn is the first time, out of all the Billy Budds, Moby Dicks, Robin Hobbs and Master and Commanders that I've read/watched, that I've felt like I actually understand what life aboard a ship might be like. and once I finished the game, I missed the characters, I was sad that I wouldn't see William Wasim and co. knocking about the Orlop Deck as I try to piece together the mystery. I don't feel that way about the main character in the last movie I watched, a big-drama character study. In fact, I can't think of any other piece of media that gets you reasonably intimate with a cast of 60 characters-- an artistic achievement if there ever was one. Thank you for putting so much love into this game, it is really special.
Not only can you do the programming, the 3D models, the artwork, the physics, animations, unique shaders, but you know so much about ships and ship professions. That's amazing.
Came here because I was very curious as to what the game looked like without the filter, really cool that you upload videos like this. You're a proper artist
Good work! Maybe it would be a good idea to have some of the ropes snapped and dangling and some of the pulleys broken. Are you going to build another model of the ship in good condition for the flashbacks?
truelazerlight Yeah this scene is an unholy mix of various broken and pristine stuff. In the end there'll be many different scenes of more correct, varying condition.

The athestics is very comfortable for the eye, you are either born talented or under some serious artisitic training in drawing. Nice work.
It's really great to see how the enviroment that really sold me the aesthetic was made.
Keep up the good work. Can't wait for the finished game
That looks magnificent!
Can't wait till the full game comes out!
Looks awesome.
