sure they're bounty hunters however why risk your life going after that kind of high valued individual when you can live quite well off the bounties of far weaker pirates. @@elfascisto6549 Luffys Backstory wasnt retconned it just wasn't revealed fully. The first backstory took place when he received the straw hat and the gum gum fruit. The backstory with Ace happens after that backstory once shanks leaves for the new world. Retcon means that they changed it completely in this case its actually a continuation. Same thing with Sanjis backstory we only got a partial portion of it when there was so much more for his character to be revealed
@@seleviathan in chapter 1 they refer to Luffy as a street urchin. Luffy remains a street urchin until ennies lobby when it's retconned that he had a grandpa and a father and he is from this notorious family line and is practically a chosen one
And then in Wano he actually becomes a literal chosen one when his fruit is retconned into being the nika fruit instead of the gum gum fruit

Then "turns out" the cool pirate was an emperor of the sea, the straw hat belonged to the pirate king, his grandpa was the hero of the navy, his father lead a revolution, he ate a mystical zoan nika fruit that's absurdly powerful and is some kind of reincarnation of a previous historical figure, and he shares the pirate kings surname and he has the special concheror's haki and blah blah blah
@@elfascisto6549 i don't think Luffys lineage suddenly being revealed is a retcon at all. Dragon was revealed really early on before we knew who he was its not a retcon to reveal suddenly that Luffys his father. Same with Garo revealed early on then shown to be Luffys grandfather.
Just because he has a strong lineage that doesn't dismiss all of his own personal accomplishments. Luffy wasnt blessed with a strong body, neither was Dragon or Garp. They all had to work EXTREMELY HARD, heck if you saw the recent Garp reveal you ll know that this man trained his ASS off to get where he is and thats the same with Luffy.
I don't think you understand what a Retcon means and its meant to describe an inconsistency in a story. Not revealing something until later isnt a Retcon its called foreshadowing. A retcon would be telling us that Luffys dad is Dragon and then changing it without an explanation or reason which happens a lot in media.
One Pieces major theme comes from Fate and Inherited wills. The belief that dreams never die as long as there is someone out there willing to take on that responsibility and most of the time the characters don't realize that the path they are on parallels another.
Its not an asspull actually pay attention to what the story is trying to tell you. As for Nika there were hints about a Sun God that people worshipped in the past i mean the Shandians used to pray to the Sun God. It was set up from the beginning but Oda revealed it when it was needed thats what makes a compelling story.
Information isnt the only thing that makes one piece but it comes with its own philosophies and ways of thanking that you need go pay attention.
I suggest you rewatch the series and please do me a favor and search up what Retcon means, you arent using it right ...

I don't know if it is an error but Sanji's wanted poster is now a sketch again rather than his past bounty with his photo with heart eyes that Germa 66 issued.
The thing is, it also switched to "Dead or Alive" and adds the name Vinsmoke.
While the Vinsmokes were part of the WG they used their influence to change Sanji's poster, including adding the "only alive" part. After wholecake the Vinsmokes got kicked out of the WG for allying with Big Mom, and in turn they no longer had any say in Sanji's poster, which was why the picture they chose probably wasn't used anymore.
