- Howdy everyone. Today, I went to the skatepark for an early morning session. I wanted to see how the Venture V-Lights handled at the skatepark. Hope you enjoy the edit! Go skate!

Yuto skates venture lows and even has clips of him crushing a vert ramp and doing slappies on them. Made me really realize that you can get used to about anything and it’s all about what feels best for you
Btw you been crushing it bro you’ve improved so much since I started following you during the pandemic
Thanks!
I´m on my first Venture ever. So far so good. It´s a 5.2 low. It turns just the ammount I want. No wheelbites.
Not to get too deep on a Saturday morning, and Kevin, this is not directed in any way at you solely or specifically, but... I'm tired of skaters in general calling it "madness".
It's not madness. It's variety. It's perspective. It's a greater understanding through context.
The perspective that variety provides gives you insight into the things you're skating now, the things you've skated in the past, and how to better skate them in the future.
Dating around isn't madness. It's vareity. Its perspective. Its context. It's an understanding of what works when, and for what, and sometimes even why or how.
Riding something you never thought youd like, or even that you know you dont like, gives you perspective and insight and understanding into the things you do like, and into different ways of achiving the same thing, or different things.
It's not madness. It's humanity.
If humans didn't inherently do this, we'd never have spread out and explored our Earth, ...or invented skateboarding.
Blind, irrational, dogged loyalty leaves everyone under someone else's control.
Did you stick with one job all your life?
Did you stick with one partner all your life?
Did you eat one food all your life?
Or did you change and evolve and develop as you tried new things, both the things that you liked and the things that you didnt like, or thought you wouldn't like, and did you gain experience and perspective from that process?
Necessity AND familiarity AND boredom are the mothers of invention and creativity and perspective.
We should all be challenging ourselves, our perspectives, and widening out our little worlds.
It's not madness. It's how we survive.
I think skateboarding "madness" is just referring to the urge to try something for no reason other than you saw a sick ad or video. I agree though it is beneficial to try everything and see what you like. Expensive but beneficial. Haha.
Mine is madness. Im in recovery and 💯 % exhibit addict behavior w regards to skate equipment... i buy something and right away want more... its something i might need to eventually address, but for now im loving my 5 completes 7 sets of trucks 8 bearings and 9 wheels oh my. Gonna go call my sponsor
Woooowwwww Dude beautiful tricks, kick 360 🛹🛹👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Those animation characters appearing throughout the vid threw me for a bit. I had to do some double takes. My kid loves the venture 5.85 on her deck. I enjoy the 6.1 HIs. I’m hope you stay on the venturesome
Hahaha. I'm definitely enjoying the ventures. There's no reason to switch back.
Looks like they skate. Maybe you found your trucks?
I have my board where want it. Sad part of that is that there is no reason to go pick anything new up to try. But this year is about consistency. Riding the same setup is a big part of that to me.
That's what I want to focus on. Consistency. I'm going to have a garage sale, see what I can sell and the rest I'm going to donate haha. I'm more of a minimalist in my later years haha. Definitely love the trucks they match my style of skateboarding. Help most of my tricks.
@@KevinNiceTry I have 4 of the same board (different graphics) to make sure stick with it this time.
Your skating progressed, switch tre and feeble to fakie look super sharp!
Thanks!
I’ve watched this channel for a while now, like from the start lol
This by far is some of the best skating I’ve seen from ya Kev! What are your thoughts on your progression??
Thank you! I honestly contribute it to several things. I've lost a lot of weight biking to work every day, and that's also gave me strength in my legs. My endurance is way up. I also haven't been drinking alcohol much at all. Those things on top of keeping my wheelbase the same has helped a ton.
@@KevinNiceTry ahhh!!
Yes for sure, I see that 💯!
Well it’s been great to see!
Made that’s something to touch on!
What we as skaters do away from the board to get better results on it!!
Keep it up man! Your killin it!
Maybe *
ive been riding Venture since the 90's they turn fine and transition is not an issue
💯
3:19 that was too butter
Thanks!
Sick upload . That park looks so fun. I have the same deck rails as you in this video baha.
Lil jawns! The best.
@@KevinNiceTry heck yeah bruh.
I love my Thunders but on nose/tail slides, my wheels are rubbing the ledge the entire time. I’d been thinking about Ventures lately bc I know the baseplate slides along the ledge and not the wheels. After watching your previous videos I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Ordered my Venture’s about an hour ago! Thanks for these great videos you’re making! Also, that switch tre was so dope!
You're going to love them! My nose/tailslide game has improved a bunch with the ventures. Thanks! I was hyped haha.
So great as usual!!!
Thank you. Appreciate it.
I skate Venture lows and they are fine for park haha
Looking smooth to be honest.
Cheers
Venture owes you some commission for your endorsement and ripping style!
@@justinmuir9163 and for all the people on the Discord starting to ride Ventures 😂.
😂
Madness is the worst thing that can happen to a skater, especially when we just need to be focusing on our skating. 👍
Good session dude!
Thank you
Looking good
Thanks
@@KevinNiceTry No problem bro!
It’s not the product, it’s the skater!
True
I just switched to venture trucks should be solid
i like ventures, the only set i've had are 5.0(7.62") lows from the nineties and i still have them on a setup right now. they're med-tight, but i'm a big dude and hate wheelbite. they turn, they don't not turn. i think cross-locked 50s are ugly in comparison anyway
Starting to dig the blonde hair. It took me a bit. For some reason I feel like you need a pork pie hat. You can start another channel called Kevin nice pork or something. I don't know. I just think it would round out your style. Anyways awesome video as always
Hahahaha
I wonder how they feel with venture loose bushings (the green ones), have you ever tried them?
I haven't. I like the stock, but maybe I'll try it one day.
